Salute to our grandfathers who conceived of and built such scenic roads.
And also for conceiving our fathers. ☺
😀😀👍
Completely agree. The roads were magnificent. Best wishes, Mike
Let's take a ride on the coolest motorcycles ever....... let's ride along what is arguably some of the most stunning shoreline on earth...... let's have fish and chips, it's the best thing you can eat when on the coast (and a personal favorite of R Wayne). Just another day in the life of The Mighty Garage. Thanks for posting, Mike.
😀😀 many thanks! Yes, that was a fantastic ride, Rod. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the bikes did so well, apart from drinking a little too much oil😉 I hope you are doing well. Best wishes, Mike
Thoroughly enjoyed video, beautiful scenery, road and bikes, thanks for sharing 👍 🏴
Thanks very much Johnathan. I’m Glad that you enjoyed the video. We had a great time and the bikes performed so well. Really pleased with how they handled the longer ride. Best wishes, Mike
What a trip down memory lane. I grew up in McMinnville and we used to go to the coast quite a bit. Even had a great uncle that lived in Florence for a time.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video and trip to Florence. Wish we could’ve stayed a little longer as it says really cool place. Would love to have fished from that pier! Best wishes, Mike
Alway a joy to ride along, and this time with all your friends... thanks! Wonderful sounds from the group!
Thanks a lot Richard. Glad you enjoyed it. That was a great ride
8.7.22. I can’t remember when but it was out west I believe near Yellowstone national park, I was driving with my brother and saw a gaggle of Vincent™️ motorcycles, I couldn’t believe my eyes they were parked alongside the road near a convenience store gas station. I had never seen a running or operating Vincent ever in my life what a treat‼️🇬🇧 My best friend and I, used to ride Harleys with 35 years ago, he restored a 1973 Laverda 🇮🇹SFC 750, he always wanted a Vincent black shadow🇬🇧
Thanks a lot Stephen. It may have been a Vincent owners club international rally that you and your brother saw. The next one in the USA will be in 2023 in California! It should be amazing. Best wishes, Mike
Now that’s what biking is intended for, great roads.
Many thanks Gerry. Glad you enjoyed the video. It was great to have a longer ride for a change. Best wishes, Mike
Just gorgeous footage! Very beutiful scenery and great roads. The sound of that Vincent made me think you were riding a kitten... it just purrs down the road. Fun video.
Hi Edwin, thank you very much for your note. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, it’s funny, when I’m on the bike it sounds a little clattery , but when I play the video back it sounds much quieter 😉 Best wishes, Mike
I love traveling by motorcycle with a few friends. Thx for taking us along Mike, my health hasn't allowed me to do this sort of a ride for 5 or 6 yrs now so it was fun to watch it through your camera lense.
Many thanks for your kind comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video I’m sorry to hear about you not being able to ride. Hope you are doing OK. Best wishes, Mike
Thanks for taking us along this ride. Stunning views of the coast there!
Many thanks Bruce. I’m glad you enjoyed the ride along the coast. Wish we could’ve stayed a little longer, but we had a great time. Cheers, Mike
Back in the seventies, I got to ride the PCH a good bit, never got into Oregon, but those roads are absolutely gorgeous, that was a beautiful ride you shared with us. When my parents lived in Washington, I got to drive a good bit of that part of the country, and enjoy the lush greenery. Thanks Mike!
Thanks a lot John. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, I would love to write more of the Oregon coast again one of these days. There’s still so much to see here in Oregon. Best wishes, Mike
Lovely bikes. Great scenery. I have declared myself officially jealous.
😉😉 Thanks a lot for your note. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate your note. Best wishes
Good ride, fantastic views, and a three fish dinner, what’s not to like.
Many thanks Frank! Yes, the halibut fish and chips were very good. We would give them a solid 9 out of 10 :-)
Outstanding route on the Oregon coast. I've gassed up at the Chevron in Philomath several times on my trips to the coast, going over from Boise through Burns, Sisters, Sweet Home, Philomath to Waldport and Newport. Excellent roads, scenery, seafood and microbrews. Love sampling the malted beverages at the Rogue in Newport. Followed by a walk not a ride back to the motel. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks! I love watching your videos too and really appreciate the different and majestic scenery you have in Idaho. Best wishes, Mike
Beautiful ride, Mike, especially on all the vintage bikes. Great weather as well. Thanks for the fine video.
Thanks a lot Scott, glad you enjoyed it. Hope all is going well. See you again soon. Cheers, Mike
A ride the Vincent was build for! I did a similar trip in Sweden this year. Difficult to understand the pleasure and fun a Vincent can give for folks who don't have one...
Many thanks Michael. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, it was a lot of fun, especially with three other Vincents on the ride. Best wishes, Mike

Beautiful weather here in Germany and today I did a little ride with a friend (on a BMW; don't tell anybody) up to the Baltic Sea. Not a big thing from Hamburg, some 250 km. I have a Song humming in my head: Oh I tell you, Vincent, this world was never made for one as beautiful as you... Don McLean in Stary Stary Night. Ok, he Talks about an obscure Dutch painter, but who the hell cares...
You folks road right by my house, Great Highway for riding .. ENJOYED the show !
Wow beautiful coast you have opened my eyes to parts of America not often shown but once again the bikes steal the show 👍 thanks for posting
Thanks a lot Andy. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, there's a lot to Oregon that I would still love to explore. Best wishes, Mike
This should be a tourist council video. Also your motor just sounds so, so nice. thankyou for sharing.
Hee hee, thank you very much Steve! That’s very kind of you to say so. I’m glad you enjoyed it. That was a really wonderful ride and a great trip down to Florence. Would love to go back again sometime soon. Best wishes, Mike
Once again great scenery , great roads and great bikes with the great company which go with it. You live in a great world Mike,
take care Cookie
Australia.
Hi Cookie, thanks a lot for your note. Yes, that was a really enjoyable trip with some fantastic bikes. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Would loved to have spent more time riding up and down the coast road, but we had to get back home. We need to go back there again soon! Best wishes, Mike
Your ride took me back to the North West Coast of Japan (Nigata prefecture) when I rode across Japan a few year back. It looked very similar and equally as beautiful! Good memorys! Thanks Mike. Looks like you and you're friends had a great trip! 👍
Many thanks. Yes that was a terrific ride. I still think about it. We had such a good time. I wish we stayed a little longer and explored the coast a little more, but it was excellent. The bikes performed so well, except for mine losing so much oil, but I'm working on it :-) best wishes, like
You out done yourself Mike! You rode right past my uncle's beach house. Beautiful!
Oh, what a small world Larry. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike
What a ride with great company and scenery.Music choice and video editing superb.
Thank you very much Chris. I really appreciate that. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m really pleased with how it came out. Best wishes, Mike
Superb Mike thanks for sharing , I bet you loved that ride down there..
Hi Stephen. Yes, that was one of my favorite rides ever. Loved riding along the coast road and would’ve enjoyed staying a little longer, but it was fantastic. Hope to go back again one of these days. Best wishes, Mike
Absolutely beautiful ride video Mike! Deservedly earned a LIKE only 2 seconds in with that incredible opening scene with those Vincents and the bridge. 👍
Thanks very much George. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, that covered bridge is beautiful. I could’ve stayed there all day. It was so peaceful inside. I hope you are doing well. Best wishes, Mike
Once again you make me jealous, beautiful ride, well worth taking time off work
😉😉 thanks a lot Kevin. Yes, that was a terrific experience. I really enjoyed doing the longer ride on the Vincent to see how it coped. He did really well except for drinking oil😉 That’s another job for another day !
This area is breathtaking and worth a visit ! Happy bikers here !
Many thanks! It was a wonderful ride and the scenery was amazing. Just wish we could have stayed longer and explored more. Best wishes, Mike
Needed to see this, beautiful scenery, to much bad new on the tv, long time Norton rider, the Vincent is my all time favorite, thanks for sharing your ride.
Thank you very much Tim. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was a little longer than usual, but I wanted to leave it running a little, especially down the coastal road. Glad you liked it. Best wishes, Mike
Thanks Mike, that seals it my wife and I are planning a trip to Oregon. What a beautiful rides that was.😍👍
Many thanks! Oregon certainly is a lovely state. There’s a lot more to see and it’s a big state with lots of different types of landscapes. I’m hoping to see more in the future. Best wishes, Mike
Was on the 101 from Astoria to Coose Bay 7/1-4/22 on the bike, but was foggy and rainy the whole time. Stayed at THE WRIGHTS camp ground Cannon Beach one nite and Florence on the second, Medford and Klamath Falls. Enjoyed the video Mike. Vincent is a awsome bike.
Many thanks Henry. Oh, yes that’s a lovely part of the Oregon coast. We often go to Cannon Beach as it’s the closest to us here in Portland. Glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike
Thank you for lovely ride on your beautiful bike
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate your note. Best wishes
Mike on those deserted sections of road do you sometimes find yourself drifting to the proper side of the road? Ha ha.Lovely country and the Vincents fit in perfectly.
😀😀😀 Thanks a lot. I do get caught off guard now and then. It’s very rare because we’ve lived here so long, but now and again I have to think twice about which lane I need to be in, like you say especially on deserted sections. Best wishes, Mike
Your best filmed ride yet, amazing roads and jaw dropping scenery, wish I was there!
Many thanks Nigel! Come on over and bring your bike with you! We could have some great rides together 😉😉
Stunning views absolutely beautiful!
Thanks a lot Frank! That was a fantastic ride. Wish we could have stayed a little longer and taken in more of these views along the coast line. Best wishes, Mike
Enjoyed this leisurely scenic ride on a hot Sunday morning in UK. Getting ready for British Grand Prix (MotoGP) this afternoon……contrast in riding styles eh? More of this type of ride out showing USA countryside and small towns please Mike 🇬🇧
Thanks a lot Neil. Yes, totally different styles! I'm afraid we are a little too slow for the GP guys 😀. I'm glad you enjoyed this video and a glimpse into some of the coastal towns here in Oregon. I'd love to do more travelogue type videos, time and weather permitting. Best wishes, Mike
Grateful for the ride out thanks looks fantastic 🙏
Hi Christian, thank you very much for your kind note. Best wishes,
Beautiful scenery and HRD sound track 👍
Really good video, spectacular scenery.....thanks matey!
Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Hope all is well. Cheers, Mike
Thanks for doing and posting Mike that was a brilliant way to pass a bit of time on Sunday morning here in the UK, where the weather is just like in the video so I'll be off for a blip later on. I must say you live in a really beautiful part of the world and some of that scenery is epic. The bikes look great and watching the ride along those great roads was so relaxing. I have been watching your vids for a while now and you have on occasion mentioned Scarborough and other parts of Yorkshire so I assumed you were a Yorkshire Mon but then on this video you mentioned that you Lancashire accent was coming through. To be fair I had always thought you had a definite northern accent but so soft that it was hard to place it plus it is affected by the odd Americanisms that appear now and than. Anyway, as a Lancashire lad myself it cheers me to now you are the same as me in that respect. Where in Lancs do you hail from? Keep on truckin' mate and again thanks.
Many thanks for your kind comment. Yes, the roads are definitely much much quieter here in Oregon than in the UK. There's just so few people here compared to Britain. Yes, my wife & I lived in Scarborough before emigrating to the US, but I am originally from Lancashire before emigrating to Yorkshire 😀 (Darwen & Colne in Lancashire, Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, Halifax in West Yorkshire and then Scarborough, North Yorkshire). Cheers, Mike
Do you know Mike I’m of an age were one shouldn’t get jealous 👺, but I’m sorry too say, today that lovely ride got the better of me ! And to top it all a fish and chips lunch. Life doesn’t get any better. Ray 🇬🇧
Hehe, that really was an enjoyable time Ray. I'd love to do it again sometime and perhaps spend more time stopping and admiring the views and perhaps stay a little bit longer and go up and down the coast a little bit more. Best wishes, Mike
That was beaut. Reminds me of Tasmania’s east coast road.
Oh wow, that must be amazing. Thanks a lot for sharing. Best wishes, Mike
Crikey Mikey, that intro had me thinking you'd gone all high tech on us and invested in a drone. 😀
Ha ha, that was me trying to be as steady handed as I could with some of those shots. Glad you enjoyed the video. Hope all is well. Cheers, Mike
Beautiful, Mike. I NEED to get back to the Oregon Coast! It's been too many years since I last rode 101.
Thanks a lot Gordon. Glad you enjoyed the video. Come on back soon! Cheers, Mike
Lovely to watch
Thank you very much Stephen. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes
Lord willing I at least want to visit ( if not permanently move ) there! I’m on the East Coast so no complaints either!
Thanks a lot Gary. Yes, the East Coast he’s also spectacular. I’ve visited a few times and really enjoyed it. Cheers, Mike
Hey, Mike, very, very impressing ride! I love it greetings Manfred
Thank you very much Manfred! Glad you enjoyed the video. I hope all is well. Best wishes, Mike
pure bliss.
Thanks a lot Corey, I hope you are doing well. Glad you enjoyed it :-) best wishes, Mike
My God ! , I've said it before and I will say it now .
This could be the North Island , Central plateau and Bay of Plenty in NZ ,, except you guy's ride on the wrong side of the road LOL .
But seriously what a perfect ride with beautiful bikes .
Thank you again mate .
Ha ha, thanks a lot Brian. Glad you enjoyed the vid. I’d still love to come to NZ. It’s on my bucket list! Best wishes, Mike
Great video, Mike and stunning scenery (although we have had a similar day in the UK 😁) My only disappointment was you all missed the opportunity to blip your throttles in the tunnel! Maybe you could it on the way back…
Ha ha, thank you Steve. Yes we were all being a little bit too sensible going through that tunnel 😉😉 I do like to rev up a bit normally. Glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike
Lovely video Mike, one of your best I think. Thank you.
Many thanks Glenn. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, I really had a blast on that ride. Probably one of my best rides On the Vincent for sure. Best wishes, Mike
Can't believe I've only just come across your channel. Have a bit of catching up to do ! Brought up on mainly Triumphs and BSA, so loving the bikes.
Hi David, welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching my videos. I hope you enjoy them. Best wishes, Mike
Stunning!!
Many thanks Jo! I’m glad you liked the video. Best wishes
That ride was awesome, have to watch it again.
Great to see they saved the bridge 👍
Fish looked great, not many chips though, unless you ate a few 😀
Have a restful week and be good Mike 😎
Ha ha, thank you David. Yes they were a little tight with the chips 😀 isn't it amazing, chips are so expensive these days! But the halibut was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Yes, there are quite a few covered bridges in Oregon. I've often thought about doing a tour on my motorcycle of some more of these bridges. They are so cool. Best wishes, Mike
😳That must be 1/2 of all streetable Vincent's in Amarica right there👀😳👌👍🇬🇧 👀👀👀👀👀
that's 5 John Cooper moon eyes for the great vid.
Envious in New HampSHIRE ✌️☮️
Many thanks for your great comment! I love reading it. Appreciate the moon eyes 😉😉
Nothing quite like the Pacific coast highway.
Thanks a lot Ken. I agree. It was a magnificent ride down Highway 101. Cheers, Mike

Hola Rafael! Thank you so much for your kind note, as always. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike
Nice one Mike, outstanding ride on a beautiful day enjoyed in company of like minded folk.
Thanks for sharing including your route map, always like to see where you guys are riding.
It's almost coffee time here, then an armchair day of racing from Silverstone Moto GP. .. 😉
Thanks for all the video editing that you do in bringing us along. atvb t .. 👍 .. 🏍
Thank you very much Terry. I really appreciate it. Yes, that was a really enjoyable video to edit. It ran a little long, but I wanted to savor some of the coast line shots. Best wishes, Mike
Epic Mike. Just epic.
Thank you so much! I’m really pleased that you enjoyed the video. It was a fantastic ride down to the coast and back. Wish we had stayed longer and explored a little bit more but perhaps next time! Best wishes
Amazing
Thank you very much Les! That was a wonderful weekend. Best wishes, Mike
Just spending some time playing catch up with your videos Mike - what a fabulous ride that was, absolutely stunning scenery - the big vincent in it's element. Great to see safe & sensible group riding skills on display too... 👍
Many thanks Dave. Yes, I know what you mean. I try not to do anything silly on these old bikes! It’s funny enough just trying to handle them. Best wishes, Mike
Wow! Invite me next time, add a little bmw flavor to the mix 😁
Ha ha, we will do! Best wishes, Mike
turn left at 17:13 for BLM road with free dispersed campsites :) great for access to yachats and florence if you can grab a nice spot
Oh, Mike, this is just a beautiful scene, 4 Vincents and the Ducati touring in the summer!
If I win the lotto, ill be hunting down a Vincent for myself, i owe it to myself, I deserve it, i want one. (Big big money here in Aus) Im off to find a big screen to watch it again.
Hi Paul, thank you very much for your note. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and it comes across OK on a bigger screen. I try to edit in as high quality definition as I can and most if not all my videos these days are 4K definition. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Best wishes, Mike
Fantastique 👍
Salut Gilles! J'espère que tout va bien. Je suis content que vous ayez apprécié la vidéo. Je suis sûr que vous avez de beaux paysages à traverser. Meilleurs vœux
What a beautiful ride! It’s been a few years since I’ve ridden that route.
Thanks Bob. Hope all is well. We still have to meet one of these days :-)
Great Video Mike.
Thanks a lot Ray, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Mike
Beautiful ride Mike! Just got back from Hillsboro. Sorry I missed you. Maybe next trip.
Hi Philip, no problem at all. Hope to catch you again next time. Hope you had a good visit to Oregon and it wasn’t much hotter than Southern Texas :-)
Ah tool carry ducati very nice run.
Ha ha, yes exactly. Thanks a lot for your note.
Amazing group of bikes! Beautiful ride!
Thanks a lot Steve. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Mike
Thanks so much for sharing this, what a beautiful coastline ❤️ btw I thought you were from the other side of the Pennines, Yorkshire
He he, originally from Lancashire and then moved to the Darkside… Yorkshire! 😉😉 Thanks a lot John. Cheers, Mike
@@TheMightyGarage I have to admit that Yorkshire tea is the best 😊 best wishes, thanks for sharing your videos 👍
the great Phil Irving
Yes indeed! Total respect to Phil Irving and Philip Vincent for the pleasure of these bikes. Best wishes, Mike
Thanks Mike for the scenic, relaxing ride. The coastal shots near the end reminded me a bit of my visit to Big Sur along US1 in California. Stunning. Just curious… is it usually easy to find non-ethanol gas on your road trips ? Cheers and ride safe, Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Hi Daniel, thanks a lot for your note. Actually, I don’t worry too much about trying to find non-ethanol gas. We typically fill up with regular or higher octane fuel whenever we can. I’ll also splurge now and then and get a tank full of non-ethanol, but I don’t necessarily go out of my way to get it. Best wishes, Mike
Photo op around every turn
Definitely! I wish we could’ve stopped it a little more. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Mike
One of my favorite rides. I could ride the Coast Highway between the Columbia River and Sonoma County every day for the rest of my life and not get sick of it.
Many thanks Phil. I'm glad you enjoyed the ride. It really is stunning, isn't it. I had a great time. Best wishes, Mike
Question why do the bridges have roofs on them ?. Is it to protect the road timber ?.
Yes.
Yes exactly Stephen.
Does your old Vincent run OK on modern fuel?
Hi, yes it does and I also try to use non-ethanol fuel when possible. Best wishes
