    ”In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, kind, and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s word will not be slandered.“

    I "gave up my career" to homeschool my children. This was a wonderful time in my life and I have no regrets. Now that the children are grown and live far away, so I cannot help as I had hoped in the caring for my grandchildren, I thought about returning to work. I am happy at home though and really enjoy taking care of my husband, home, and garden. It is hard when people ask "what do you do all day" or are always volunteering me for things. One church member asked, "when are you going to start working and helping your husband?" :( Anyway I had made a promise to God years ago that as long as my husband could provide for our family I would take that as a sign that He was okay with me staying home. I so appreciate your testimony. Thanks for the encouragement!

    So wonderfully encouraging. After trusting Christ as my Saviour almost 42 years ago, the Lord changed my heart and I quit my job as a legal secretary to stay home and be a homemaker. We did not have children, at that point either. I received much criticism from even other Christians, but I knew in my heart, this was God's calling on my life. Three years later, we had our first son and within 10 years, had five sons. All are grown and have families of their own now, but I continue to love my role as a wife and homemaker. Our home is one of peace. I must say, however, because the children are gone, women wonder what I do all day and think I should return to work. I am 63 in July and I know that my calling has not changed. I serve the Lord in quiet ways with hospitality and a small bible study with another lady, for instance. I cook and clean all to the Lord's glory. I will not neglect my calling until the Lord calls me home. This is my ministry. God bless you sister in your precious calling. I enjoyed watching all the important tasks you accomplished in this video. Your husband is blessed to have such a godly wife. 🥰

    I've been a full time homemaker for 7 years. It is truly a gift from God. Thank you for sharing your testimony. The hardest part is the physical and emotional demands of caring for my family 24/7, especially while navigating health challenges.
    Leaving my job that paid money 🤣 was a gift from God. It allowed me to spend time with my Mother during her last year on earth.

    I became a homemaker 10 years ago. I had left my banking job because I had severe anxiety and depression that was affecting my job performance. I didn't know that it was hormonal and it was before becoming a Christ follower. At first it was so hard cause I was bringing in income and what ever I wanted I could buy, of course within reason. Not having that income brought anxiety too cause I did have credit card debt to pay. Hubby gave me a monthly allowance so that helped. Now I love being a at home with my family and also have a granddaughter so when she was little I enjoyed caring for her. I also have a non-verbal special needs adult daughter that needs to be cared for that keeps me busy too. Thank God for hubby cause he helps me out, rather we help each other out.
    I always look forward to your videos. Tfs. God bless.

    I'm a homemaker without children. I get a lot of judgment, but I have seen so many blessings come from this decision.
    We are just hoping and praying that maybe one day we will have children. We have tried for nearly 13 years.
    But children or no children, homemaking has been such a blessing to our marriage and to other people. I was always available to help my sister when her kids were little, and I also have more time to devote to ministry.
    The Lord has always provided for us. There were times when money was tight, but He always made a way.

    Hi Tsundoku : (that's my nickname for you now). I consider myself a homemaker even though I never got married, raise children or had a home. I clean, do laundry, iron, cook and bake from scratch, handle finances, grocery shop, etc. So I consider myself a homemaker because I take care of me. I'm almost 70 and grew up in the 50's where women took care of their husbands, children and homes which is a job that doesn't pay cash but pays you with dividends of pride and satisfaction every day. That is a lifestyle that will never be seen again. BTY your husband is adorable in the pic.

I tried to continue working even while injured (like 2-3 months) assuming the pain would leave. It never left and my job had to let me go since no positions could accommodate my pain. And actually made it worse. And also similar to you… I’ve applied to so many jobs but no open doors. So I’ve come to peace with being a homemaker. I'm a homemaker with no children yet as well🙋🏽‍♀️
    I've had people ask me what i do all day which always amuses me. There is always work to be done in the home if you're looking.
    Btw, i noticed that the verses you quoted aren't from the KJV Bible, so i just want to encourage you to look into why all English speakers should use the KJV❤

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 6 месяцев назад +4

      Personally, from my extensive research I believe the NASB is a better and more word for word translation. I'm not saying KJV is bad per say, but NASB is highly regarded by Biblical scholars as one of the best.
      For me I can't understand the KJV. We don't speak like that anymore which makes it impossible for me to understand. If I only read that version I would get nothing out of reading the Bible...
      And it's great if you enjoy it, but saying it's the only English translation we should read is silly based on my research.

    • @mrsginny
      @mrsginny 6 месяцев назад

      @bunny_0288 Psa 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
      The NASB is translated from different manuscripts that got dug up in the 20th century and doesn't include 16 verses that the KJV has, so to believe that the NASB is God's perfect word is to believe that God allowed his word to get buried for thousands of years and it would have to mean the KJV is a lie because it's added to the Bible.
      I'm not trying to be combative at all, but this is the bedrock of Christianity so I'm very passionate about it❤️

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 6 месяцев назад

      @@mrsginny I've looked into the reliability of the texts that the translations were translated from... And I personally think the NASB is more reliable.
      You're welcome to have a different opinion of course, but I'm going to stick with the translation that I can understand and is spoken about as one of the most literal and accurate translations that exist.
      Also just because a manuscript was discovered first does not necessarily mean it is better. The Catholic Church is older than any protestant denomination. Yet we went centuries before the Protestant Reformation came around.
      Again I'm not saying it's a bad translation at all. I just think it is bad to tell people that that is the only translation that anyone should use. Unless it is in the original language, all translations are going to have some issues. And I can't understand anything when I've tried to read it. Since we don't speak like that anymore.

    • @mrsginny
      @mrsginny 6 месяцев назад

      @bunny_0288 I get what you're saying. That's why I'm saying that if you believe the NASB to be God's word, inherently you're saying the KJV is not because they are not the same books, they don't say the same things. Only one can be true if one says that Jesus is the only begotten of the Father and the other says Jesus is the Fathers only son.
      The KJV is not true because it's older, it's true because it's the only one from the preserved manuscripts, and God promised he'd preserve his word. Also, that's why the KJV has no errors. John 1:1 says that the word is God, so if God is perfect that his word is perfect as well🙂
      The KJV is in slightly different wording but it's by no means impossible to understand, and what's the value in understanding something if it's not actually what God said?

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 6 месяцев назад

      @@mrsginny Again I disagree with the inerrancy of one translation over another. I believe in the inerrancy of the original written word in the original language, but no translation can ever be perfect. My mother spoke 3 languages and gave me examples of why things can never be translated 100% perfectly. It's impossible. So for you to claim that the KJV is an absolute perfect translation proves to me that you don't understand how translations work.
      And where is the proof that that manuscript is superior to the ones used for other Biblical translations? You make a bold claim there, but my research has shown otherwise.
      Many times when I speak to KJV users it is almost cult-like. Y'all were raised to believe this and repeat things without offering evidence or proof that that manuscript is superior. Obviously, many Biblical scholars disagree with you and believe other manuscripts are more accurate. And based on my research I agree with them.
      Again I believe that the NASB is a closer translation to the original Bible in its original language than the KJV... Which is why I use it.

Half a year before we got married he said I was done trying and should accept his help. And he stepped in. Took over my bills and wanted me to stop working. I then listened and started to prepare our wedding. After we got married my health got worse. I truely believe because of him taking charge and care of me I now can still walk and I am doing very well. I have been able to work again but every time my health would decline.
