If they sit up like that, then you are doing sport grappling.
The answer is to punch or kick them if they sit up. This is bad for fighting or self defense.

Globetrotters in Action Got it. The context of the class is not explained in the video, and I suspect the Instructor did not explicitly say to the students before hand that this is bad for fighting and self defense.
Then we need to consider there are a lot of beginners out there that will watch this video and not know.

Low and behold a sport grappling class uses sport grappling. The "foh da stweets" crowd don't realize that streetfighting is so trivially easy and boring when you know how to grapple (1-1 only) that only a fool would be interested in it. Any blue belt in the world is gonna win most of his 1-1 streetfights (and no black belt will win ANY 3:1 streetfights, but nether will the karate guys so there is that)
