  • Hello, welcome to Tangled. This time, we bring you this quick tutorial to see, roughly, how to crochet a bag with Ribbon XL. This material is amazing, as it is recycled, has a great variety of colours, is very easy to crochet or knit, and allows you to make big projects, without having to spend many hours of work, which is great!
    FOR THIS BAG I USED:
2 rolls of XL Lurex Silver Glitter ribbon
6.5 mm and 10 mm crochet needles
    1 bag bottom
    1 lobster clasp
    2 D-rings
    1 pair of metal handles
1 metal bow to close the bag
This bag is very simple to make, as we are using a bottom and on which we will start making our single crochet stitches.
Here is the link to the store, where you can find all you need: bit.ly/3PHlgb7
Use a 6.5 mm hook in the first row, to be able to pass the yarn through the holes in the bottom. Once you have completed the first row, switch to a 10 mm hook and continue to single crochet until you reach the desired height. One or two rows before finishing, add the D-ring to the edges of the bag if you want to add a handle for your bag later.
Once you have reached the desired height, make a slip stitch and finish off.
To make the strip that closes the bag, locate the center of the bag and about 3 stitches before, add your yarn and make 6 single crochet stitches, make a chain, turn your work and make another row with 6 single crochet stitches. Do this until you reach the desired length. 2 rows before finishing, make 2 single crochet stitches, 2 chains and 2 more single crochet stitches, so that in that space you can place the bow or any other buckle you want to attach to your bag.
To attach the bow, use a small screwdriver, remove the back part, place it over the bag and screw the front part back on. On the bag, place the other part of the bow.
To add the handles, you will have to unscrew the rear part in order to place one part at the front of the bag and the other at the back. Screw it back on and the handles are ready.
For the strap, attach your yarn to the D-ring and make a chain the length you want the strap to be. Finish your last chain around the D-ring on the other side. Make a chain and knit the second row by making 1 single crochet in each stitch of the chain. Finally, in the last row, you will single crochet over the whole strap but around It, for a nicer look. Make as many single crochet stitches as you want to cover the strap. They do not need to be exactly the same single crochet stitches as you have done in your chain stitch.
