the Holy Spirit revealed to me that Moses’s mother sending her son away and him growing up in a place that wasn’t his home is a picture of God sending Jesus into this world to fulfill a greater purpose. and the line that you read from psalm 23 stuck out to me too in a way it didn’t before. Leah wasn't the pretty, wanted sister but she is the one with the legacy and honor. Her sons formed the twelve tribes of Israel, they were blessed and God "made" his holy people from her children which makes her such an important matriarch, so I believe that she was compensated by that.

Hey I'm on my way back from Colorado! And yes we did climb some mountains they're freaking awesome! You should listen to NF, I feel the same way you do most days, where I will just have a nervous breakdown and I just have to sit and think or else I'll start crying too. It takes Elizabeth’s story (which is crazy short like the ones you mentioned) and really makes you see disappointment from her perspective which makes her faithfulness mean so much more. It is good to see your face :) I’m in a season of disappointment as well. I get so frustrated at my selfish heart. I believe the powerful pray I keep praying is “make Your desires my desires”. I got CRAZY panic attacks starting two months ago. And they got so severe they interfered with life, and I lost my job. Then all the trauma in past and flashbacks flooded in along with depression AGAIN got crazy bad. So bad I went and checked myself in because I was going to end my life AGAIN UFH. And went in hospital to start meds for the first time. I’ve been through a lot of trauma and reluctant to meds. And I am a human. So yeah. I wanted actual death not for the pain to stop but for the unpredictability to stop. But God gave me conviction to get help and try, again, to obey. I’ve never been closer in my life to God before going in. (Frustrating and confusing) Trust Him and cry! View storms as opportunities. Emotions are normal. You can be crying while grateful (beautiful surrender as you have said). AND BONUS-->He brought people to Him through me to other patients. Now I’m out trying to heal. I come to a park every day and read the psalm 23 you have just read about green pastures and cry. God winking at me. I’m reading “Girls with Swords” now. There is power in silence (great chapter in the book I mentioned) praying for your vocal chords. I’m sorry for your pain.

The day before you put this video up I turned to Psalm 23 in my distress and God highlighted that very same part you mentioned, about doing everything for _His name's sake._ Like, it truly stuck out from the other verses and I honestly felt so alone with God in that moment. So I find it incredible and awesome that the Holy Spirit communicated that very verse to you to speak about, because it's a huge and overwhelming confirmation of God speaking to me. I needed that message reiterated!! Thank you. I dont think you realise just how many lives you touch by serving the Lord in the ways you do. He will give you the strength to keep doing it, and to get through your day jobs too! It does sound exhausting. As much as I really missed your videos and sunshine, I believe it's good for me to just use the break to contemplate Christ and God's word alone, to keep going on the journey, unaided by RUclips videos, however encouraging they may be. I feel I should depend on God fully and not rely even partially on Christian help videos to get through life, though I totally sense the Holy Spirit in all your videos! I must admit to having relied on your videos quite a lot. I guess I used to feel guilty watching videos like this, as if God wasn't enough for me. But on the other hand I think in today's world of chaos we do need to encourage each other in ways like this and as I'm pretty isolated I don't believe this is a hindrance to my faith (unless as has happened before, I become reliant on them) But don't feel guilty if you can't get a video up. It does us all good to be tested sometimes! 😀 Also, I just entered a massive season of disappointment, so kudos to you for listening to what the Holy Spirit put on your heart because you just showed me God's timing again! 💖

I joined and am currently reading the book along with her weekly videos and questions. I am also trying to work on my understanding/acceptance of disappointing things. I’m in a season of disappointment. My best friend is acting distant and choosing to hang out with different friends. I’m away from home, in the dorm for the first time away from my mom and dad and brother. Furthermore, I’m almost 22 and I’ve never been on a date. I am so lonely right now. I’m also struggling with my self-esteem and anxiety from college. I don’t know what God’s doing, but next year is grad school. This was refreshing.
I really needed to hear this, I've been experiencing a season of disappointment recently and had been getting so frustrated with the constant battle of pushing back my own anxieties about the future and knowing in my heart, not just my head, that I can trust everything completely to God. He has used this video to encourage me so much - thank you for making it! I can say I'm in a disappointment season. My church promoted a very crazy presidential candidate, a man who has used God's name in his motto (which is against the constitution since Brazil is a laic country) In my church the bishop told everyone to vote this man and get other people to vote for him too. He has been elected and today he is president and in just a few months of his inauguration he has done our country very badly, yet the church supports him and if you do not agree you are targeted with insults and considered someone who does not know God. Yesterday the bishop placed this man on the temple altar, anointed him, and people are treating him as a representative of God, a savior. If he represents God, then all I know about God is a lie. My future is threatened by the president's actions. He has been doing unbelievable things, some have become world news. Also, working on evangelism, I dealt with evangelists who were only interested in bringing as many people to church to be well regarded by the leader, no one cares about real souls. My disappointment is already anger, and my anger flirts with hate, I no longer attend church meetings, but I grew up there, I'm part of it and it all hurts me deeply, it hurts me what the president is doing to the country and I don't want to believe that God has a part in it. My sadness is deep and I have no hope, I feel alone. For me all this is unsurpassed.
Remember sister that God is good. All the time he is good. He is just and he is real and he knows the unfairness of the world- even if it lies in the church. We are to be his representatives and even if things seem as if they are going haywire, we must remember he is sovereign over all. We also still must love people who we feel are not doing the right thing, because the salvation of their souls matter too and they are of most importance to the Creator. Pray for them. Battle the flesh and give into the spirit. God is for you; you are not alone.

I have not been in that situation so I can not necessarily show empathy but I can feel sympathy for you and your country. I do not know the audacity of this mans actions but there are some verses I want to share with you. 1 Peter 2:17 Honor all men. Fear God. Love the brotherhood. Honor the Emperor. During this time, Peter was writing to Christians that were aware that the Roman emperor of that time was brutally murdering Christians. He was burning them to light his garden at night. In the midst of all this, Peter is calling Christians to *still* honor the emperor. This did not permit his actions. This did not label his actions as good. No. They were evil. But he called them to still above all honor him. I am so sorry your country is dealing with this unjust treatment and I am sorry you are hurting over it. I honor *you* for being so loyal to your land. It may seem a long shot, but I encourage you to continue to pray and trust the Lord in all you do. Godspeed Dbora.

Thank you for making this video! I love your idea of meaningful starter packs. I’m currently going through a season of disappointment as well so I can really resonate with everything you shared, which you shared beautifully. Two songs I’ve been running to lately is “Raise a Hallelujah” by Bethel Music and “Surrounded” by the Upperroom. Through this season I’ve learned that when feeling a spirit of heaviness (which has been very frequent for me lately) the best thing I can do is raise a hallelujah to the Lord.
Psalm 23 is one of my favourite psalms. My reasons for this is totally different to yours. I like the part Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil. Simply because i have experienced literal attacks from demons. I have gone to bed and feit something dark and evil on top of me when my head has just hit the pillow. Along with what felt like hands pushing up under the mattress. some call it sleep paralysis. I believe it to be a literal demonic attack. I find the word of God comforting when this happens. Plus quoting scriptures before bed and praying reduced the frequency of my attacks whatever they may be.

It's okay to take a break from social media, I'm just glad you're doing alright! Also I swear our emotions are in sync or something (probably God's timing) because I'm going through a season of disappointment as well. I'm currently reading the book of Job and I'm beginning to learn about how God is always there with us during those moments of disappointment. It's hard but I keep pressing on by God's grace.

Also I immediately started singing "Keep Making Me" by Sidewalk Prophets when you said that your vocal cords kept becoming calloused. It has definitely been a song of the year for me personally despite it being from a few years ago.
God has been speaking to me through that book also. I was in a group home and I was so disappointed and confused as to why God had let my life get to that lowest point and this book was really what kept me going and to see hope and to hold on to these amazing promises of God. The day before you put this video up I turned to Psalm 23 in my distress and God highlighted that very same part you mentioned, about doing everything for _His name's sake._ Like, it truly stuck out from the other verses and I honestly felt so alone with God in that moment.
So I find it incredible and awesome that the Holy Spirit communicated that very verse to you to speak about, because it's a huge and overwhelming confirmation of God speaking to me. I needed that message reiterated!! Thank you. I dont think you realise just how many lives you touch by serving the Lord in the ways you do. He will give you the strength to keep doing it, and to get through your day jobs too! It does sound exhausting.
As much as I really missed your videos and sunshine, I believe it's good for me to just use the break to contemplate Christ and God's word alone, to keep going on the journey, unaided by RUclips videos, however encouraging they may be. I feel I should depend on God fully and not rely even partially on Christian help videos to get through life, though I totally sense the Holy Spirit in all your videos! I must admit to having relied on your videos quite a lot.
I guess I used to feel guilty watching videos like this, as if God wasn't enough for me. But on the other hand I think in today's world of chaos we do need to encourage each other in ways like this and as I'm pretty isolated I don't believe this is a hindrance to my faith (unless as has happened before, I become reliant on them)
But don't feel guilty if you can't get a video up. It does us all good to be tested sometimes! 😀
Also, I just entered a massive season of disappointment, so kudos to you for listening to what the Holy Spirit put on your heart because you just showed me God's timing again! 💖
Thank God for your sharing. It inspired me to write a series of articles about disappointing moments by imagining I were the Biblical character and wrote a journal to express those thoughts.

Hi Becca 🙂 So funny that you should talk about this book. Lysa is currently doing an online Bible study based off of its not supposed to be this way. I joined and am currently reading the book along with her weekly videos and questions. I am also trying to work on my understanding/acceptance of disappointing things. I’m in a season of disappointment. My best friend is acting distant and choosing to hang out with different friends. I’m away from home, in the dorm for the first time away from my mom and dad and brother. Furthermore, I’m almost 22 and I’ve never been on a date. I am so lonely right now. I’m also struggling with my self-esteem and anxiety from college. I don’t know what God’s doing, but next year is grad school.
This was refreshing.

I really needed to hear this, I've been experiencing a season of disappointment recently and had been getting so frustrated with the constant battle of pushing back my own anxieties about the future and knowing in my heart, not just my head, that I can trust everything completely to God. I can say I'm in a disappointment season. My church promoted a very crazy presidential candidate, a man who has used God's name in his motto (which is against the constitution since Brazil is a laic country) In my church the bishop told everyone to vote this man and get other people to vote for him too. He has been elected and today he is president and in just a few months of his inauguration he has done our country very badly, yet the church supports him and if you do not agree you are targeted with insults and considered someone who does not know God. Yesterday the bishop placed this man on the temple altar, anointed him, and people are treating him as a representative of God, a savior. If he represents God, then all I know about God is a lie. My future is threatened by the president's actions. He has been doing unbelievable things, some have become world news. Also, working on evangelism, I dealt with evangelists who were only interested in bringing as many people to church to be well regarded by the leader, no one cares about real souls. My disappointment is already anger, and my anger flirts with hate, I no longer attend church meetings, but I grew up there, I'm part of it and it all hurts me deeply, it hurts me what the president is doing to the country and I don't want to believe that God has a part in it. My sadness is deep and I have no hope, I feel alone. For me all this is unsurpassed.
Remember sister that God is good. All the time he is good. He is just and he is real and he knows the unfairness of the world- even if it lies in the church. We are to be his representatives and even if things seem as if they are going haywire, we must remember he is sovereign over all. We also still must love people who we feel are not doing the right thing, because the salvation of their souls matter too and they are of most importance to the Creator. Pray for them. Battle the flesh and give into the spirit. God is for you; you are not alone.

How kind is that. Just now I saw bad news of a bad thing he did! There is no hope when the place that should bring hope is on the wrong side when the rope that should help is choking
Keep in mind Americans this is why the separation between church and state in America is so pivotal. And why we have legal restrictions on churches preaching politics from the pulpit.
Dbora Teles I understand that what you are feeling is righteous anger, and I am not saying to dismiss the mans actions as something that is should be condoned. I have not been in that situation so I can not necessarily show empathy but I can feel sympathy for you and your country. I do not know the audacity of this mans actions but there are some verses I want to share with you. 1 Peter 2:17 Honor all men. Fear God. Love the brotherhood. Honor the Emperor.
During this time, Peter was writing to Christians that were aware that the Roman emperor of that time was brutally murdering Christians. He was burning them to light his garden at night. In the midst of all this, Peter is calling Christians to *still* honor the emperor. This did not permit his actions. This did not label his actions as good. No. They were evil. But he called them to still above all honor him. I am so sorry your country is dealing with this unjust treatment and I am sorry you are hurting over it. I honor *you* for being so loyal to your land. It may seem a long shot, but I encourage you to continue to pray and trust the Lord in all you do. Godspeed Dbora.

If God is part of it, I don't know what to believe, I'll try to ignore. Anyway, thanks for your words.

Thank you for making this video! I love your idea of meaningful starter packs. I’m currently going through a season of disappointment as well so I can really resonate with everything you shared, which you shared beautifully. Two songs I’ve been running to lately is “Raise a Hallelujah” by Bethel Music and “Surrounded” by the Upperroom. Through this season I’ve learned that when feeling a spirit of heaviness (which has been very frequent for me lately) the best thing I can do is raise a hallelujah to the Lord.
Psalm 23 is one of my favourite psalms. My reasons for this is totally different to yours. I like the part Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil. Simply because i have experienced literal attacks from demons. I have gone to bed and feit something dark and evil on top of me when my head has just hit the pillow. Along with what felt like hands pushing up under the mattress. some call it sleep paralysis. I believe it to be a literal demonic attack. I find the word of God comforting when this happens. Plus quoting scriptures before bed and praying reduced the frequency of my attacks whatever they may be.

Also I swear our emotions are in sync or something (probably God's timing) because I'm going through a season of disappointment as well. I'm currently reading the book of Job and I'm beginning to learn about how God is always there with us during those moments of disappointment. It's hard but I keep pressing on by God's grace.

Also I immediately started singing "Keep Making Me" by Sidewalk Prophets when you said that your vocal cords kept becoming calloused. It has definitely been a song of the year for me personally despite it being from a few years ago.
God has been speaking to me through that book also. I was in a group home and I was so disappointed and confused as to why God had let my life get to that lowest point and this book was really what kept me going and to see hope and to hold on to these amazing promises of God. Its amazing we both were reading this at the same time considering you're my favorite RUclipsr and God has spoke to me through a lot of your videos :) you have a very special place in my heart Becca

Much needed! I had a breakdown yesterday as I felt trapped in this season of disappointment that I'm in right now. I prayed and poured my heart out to God and my strength has been renewed.I praise the Lord for using you in His perfect timing.
