Too many F Bombs for Me .
I dont swear at all in my vids now but thank you for your input
Nice to see you doing one of the things you do best and not annoying me 😂😂.. brilliant video as always
back to watching will catch up on the latest thanks for the reply
Perfect work
thank you
subbed at about the 5th f-bomb in the first 20 seconds
its a talent 🤣
ME TOO...F**K...👍
It's not a talent.
'Safety first' - & then use an angry grinder without a guard?? WTF? Love those little magnets. Pomegranite!
the gaurd gets in the way when in tight spots but yes i should use it, the magnets are awesome i have had them years wqnt to get the bigger ones but they are not cheap
A tad slow but a very solid repair.
thank you
Get a weld tab puller slide hammer / pin puller. Great fabrication
Thank you, getting a pin puller is something I have been wanting for some time but its just a matter of when funds allow, thank you for watching
Try putting on the clamps upside down so the handles ar not in your way ....
I liked and subscribed as soon as I saw your dog in the workshop. Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you!
Of corse we want to see Dan😀👀😉
I know you do lol
Nice presentation. I have to do the exact same repair on my '89 Bronco. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on a few questions. Thank you so much for any help you can give.
- what gauge steel did you use?
- is there any value to heating the metal with something like a propane or map gas torch during the forming of the acute corners or would that light the buck on fire?
- how smooth does the finished flange have to be so that the windshield can mount and not leak?
Thank you. For this car I used 0.8mm steel but you need to match what you have, having a little heat can be benificial but not essential, over heating can cause more problems than not heating at all, you really want to get the panel as smooth as possible but it doesnt have to be perfect, remeber once its ground back it is likely to need a skim of filler and them primer and paint so any imperfects can be rectified at that stage.
Every time I see your arme on front of the welding done.
Great video Danny. Nice hammer form bucks. The part came out great!
thank you buddy
Awesome video my brother. Turned out pretty good to me. Keep the content coming. 👍👍👊👊
cheers buddy
Galvanised sheet bet that welds good
i always use steel and spray copper coat on it them and weld it in !
@@ronnieboucherthecrystalcraftsm yes and putting a shim gives you a stronger weld
its not galvanised its electroplated and cleans of real easy for welding, almost all pattern repair panels are electroplated
It doesn't flash rust like bare steel...i used similar coated metal for sign fabricating...it welds nice..you usually grind areas to weld first....not galvanized metal from my viewing....
Just found the channel, like what you did. Have you considered a slide hammer on small welded pins to pull out the low spot on the roof?
thank you, for the moment its just a matter of going through the repairs, this car I might not be painting but if I do ill prob pin it, the dip looks lower on camera than i life cause of the way the light reflects
I’d really like to see how you made the bucks for your roof/window hammer form. I’m wondering if I could use something similar for part of my floor pan.
give me a few days Ill do a video for you
No rush. Still only half way through the above video.
It lloks like you carved up the kitchen counter to make your buck. Is the Mrs going to have a nasty surprise when she gets home?
🤣 no just an off cut
Slappers use to smooth stretch and shrink

Great vid! Thank u for sharing! Looking forward to the next 👍😎 -G-
thank you
The 'curvey things' are spoons - some folk call them slappers
they are not automotive ones, i have a couple of spoons/slappers these are more like cold chisles
Top work! great to see you back on tinbashing. 🤙🤙
cheers mate, its awrsome to be back at it and with space 🤣
What a amazing job. That’s what I called a restoration 👍
thank you so much
Excelente, acabo de aprender em seu vídeo coisas muito importantes para moldagem de metal, obrigado!
Your very welcome glad it helped
Excellent work. Do you find there's not enough food in them roast beef dinners?
thank you.. what do you mean???
@@DGRetroCustoms you used a roast beef cardboard for a template.
ahhh, i forgot about that 🤣
Tiny bit of filler for a good difficult job.
thank you
Top🚗👍
Thank you
Супер работа, как раз искал как сделать такую ставку на кабину )))
Удачи Вам!
thank you, good luck on your project I would love to see some pics
Awesome job brother little bit of lead fill and it be all good 👍
its really not that bad, a quick skim it should be fine but to be fair i might not be painting it so not worried atm
@@DGRetroCustoms that's fair enough mate
Excellent, congratulations!!
thank you
👏👏👏
the chisels are used in plumbing.
thank you
Spot on job great repair 👍
thank you
Шикарная Работа Благодарю
your welcome
Abla mucho
??
This very wrong put a shim at joins and don't use galvanised sheet the shim under the joint will let you put a good weld on
shimming it will only put the panel out of alignment or do you mean a spreader plate if so it is extremely unnecessary
Be careful about criticising other peoples repairs, had they not done what they did you may not be doing what you are now !!!
