Hey Padelis, thank you very much for your kind comment. Yes, it is a lovely kit!!! If you really think about building it, consider a 3D-Decals Cockpit. The canopy of the Super Tucano is huge and you can see into the cockpit. So it makes sence to have a nice looking cockpit. If I would build it again, I would use 3D Decals. Cheers!
Thank you very very much, Ian. I appreciate your nice comment. That paintjob was kinda hard work, but totally worth it in the end and looks really good in the cabinet. 😁 Cheers an best regards from Germany!
@@TheModelorian - Credit where it's due. The Super Tucano is a kit I've been telling myself to buy for a couple of years - the build looked straightforward, any problems ?
@@ianjackson7515 No, beside the paintjob not a single problem. 😂 It was actually a straight forward build. Good fit! But what I would purchase next time is an in- and exterior PE-set. The recessed details on the fuselage are very shallow and on the wing roots not 100% accurate. And because the canopy is so huge, you have a wonderful view into the cockpit that should be presented with nice looking PE or maybe 3d-printed decals. What Air Force would be your Super Tucano? I also like the Afghan and USAF ones with the extra armor on the sides. That would be my next Super Tucano. Cheers, mate!
Excellent build of this sleek aircraft, love the Tucano! And the color scheme is just wow, this must have been the most time-consuming and nerve wrecking paint job I’ve ever seen… 😮😬😉👍
Hey Oliver, thank you very much for your support. Yes, the paintjob was a pain in the ###. But I'm already thinking about another digital camouflage on another plane. Obviously I'm kinda masochistic.😂 Schöne Grüße!!!
Hey Tobias, thank you very much for your comment! I also like the camouflage very much. It was quite a bit of work, but it worked out in the end. Best regards to Ecuador!!!
Thank you very much for your supportüber words, Fabio. I consider the Mirage IIIE. But right now I only have the Eduard Mirage IIIC in my stash. Cheers!
Stunning paint job! I love the digi-camo. Listening to your experience with the tape, I wonder if printing out the template and then either laminating it or putting it in a plastic sheet protector would work for allowing the tape to come off cleanly
Thanks a lot for your comment, awesomekacee. Maybe that is a solution for that issue. Never tried it out, but sounds functional. I actually bought a Cricut cutter in the meanwhile. That thing is a game changer regarding complex digital camos and other things. I wish I had it back then. 😂😂😂
Great job mate! You may want to have a look at a vinyl cutter… I’ve recently bought a silhouette cameo and it is perfect for cutting masks like you needed on this build 😀
Thank you very much, Andrew. I really appreciate your kind words. I was thinking about buying one, but I couldn't figure out, which one is best for scale modelling. Which vinyl do you use with it? I'm afraid of too sticky vinyl, that destroys the paint layer underneath. Cheers!!!
@@TheModelorian you’re most welcome!! I use oramask 810, I think 813 works also, it’s a transparent grey colour. I’ve only had issues using it on top of water based acrylics, no issues whatsoever on lacquer paints.
@@Lee0568 Thank you, Charlie. The HB Super Tucano is a good model, but if you want the digital camo of the FAE, I'm afraid you probably have to order the decals from Chile and I see a massive masking session ahead of you. But in the end you'll end up with a real nice looking plane in your collection. Regarding the digital camo on the lower half: Check google for references! There are tons of them out there. Cheers and merry xmas!

Brilliant! Die Lackierung von Ecuador ist eine der spektakulärsten.
Vielen Dank, Lohan. 👍Ja, das finde ich auch. Ist auch immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsmodelle.
Lovely little kit in 1/48th. Thinking about it. Good job😊

I thought that the top camo was digital and the bottom camo stayed solid.
Hi Charlie! Nope, not with this one. The buttom half hast also the digital camo in grey/white.
