Talking about older groups, I'm sure you'll like Block B, they are incredible ! It's almost 100% certain you'll like their music and style, they just dont care about their idol image ! Too bad they were so underrated, they didn't get the success they deserved. Their leader was Zico ! You have probably heard of him, an incredible rapper. One of the best of the industry tbh ! I think that "shall we dance" can be a sweet introduction to their universe 🙌😁
(Edit : Their song "Nillili mambo" is also legendary and and iconic, my favorite one)
I found them through UNCANNY COUNTER, one of Sejeong's shows. She was captivating, even playing a very dour character - to see how extra and energetic she really was, was a delight.

@@infinitelocke Also - Kim Sejeong was also in Gugudan after IOI. (I didn't know that she was in IOI, which explains why I didn't recognize any of the other members or the song.

Another amazing group to react to is DREAMNOTE! They are a supremely underrated group. They currently have 4 title tracks “DREAMNOTE”, “Hakuna Matata”, “Wish” and “Ghost”! They originally had 8 members but 2 members left after “Hakuna Matata”. The members are insanely talented and I would love for you to react to them!

FINALYYYYYYYY ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ so you can't understand how much i love them . to YOU SEULGI is you're ultimate bias to me SEJEONG is my ultimate bias . i love her she's the definition of what is an idol . to me she's perfect she's gorgeous , cute ,strong ,funny , emotional ,her voice touch me deep . she's an amazing actress WATCH UNCANNY COUNTER idf you didn't see that drama . but it's not all most of the members are in my ultimate bias list . SOMI / CHUNGHA / YOOJUNG /CHAEYEON. as a group they're perfect one of the best vocal line of all time YEONJUNG /SEJEONG / CHUNGHA /KYULKYUNG . also one of the best dance line CHUNGHA / KYULKYUNG /SOMI /YOOJUNG . insane visual line CHAEYEON / SOMI /SEJEONG /CHUNGHA /DOYEON . her rap line is not the best but they got ONLY 8 mouth of career . you can't imagine how they take the kpop industry like a storm in so short amoung of time . they got one of the most fastest succes in the industry and most of the girls as to promote during that time for I.O.I and for they're label group . in that time they got an incredible amount of content many reality show , variéty show, vlog , stage , interview etc... . and i watch everything . i never being that happy to see a group performe on stage . you know how much i love DREAMCATCHER / BLACKPINK or A-PINK . but if i have to chose only one group as my ultimate bias group i can struggle to chose between them and I.O.I in only 8 short month they got me like no other group in kpop history .
Yeah I typically don’t like songs like this but they have sooo much talent that I can’t help it. And I love Yoojung & Sejeong parts. Love sejeong as an actress. She has such a nice personality! And a great voice to match!

@@A.J_096 i agree and i'am into this world since the very start i can't count how many groups i know other 600 i came in hundreds concert , fan meeting , i love many group and idol . but I.O.I are truly special to me . i'am usualy a simp i'am grown man and a multi stan . i think at they're final concert i cry like i never cry for somebody out of my family .
Hard to imagine anyone dislodging Sejeong as my bias in both I.O.I and Gugudan, but the Nayoungs are making a strong case (Lim Na Young in I.O.I and Kim Na-young in Gugudan). Gugudan's Nayoung has a strong, soulful voice among other talents, and just missed making it into I.O.I. BTW if you ever get around to Gugudan Semina, I suggest choosing--or at least including--the "live" version where they're in a living room with one mic. It's way more fun than the MV and they sing their asses off. :-)
They not call Sejeong GOD SEJEONG for nothing. She and Somi were huge on Produce 101.
Sejeong was the "perfect trainee" since Episode 1. My Bias... Business Proposal has been a good drama too.

I.O.I. is a heavy hitter group including Somi & Chung ha who are now soloist , 2 members Yoojung & Doyeon who are now members of Weki Meki, 2 members Mina & Sejeong who are now members of girl group called Gugudan , Leader of I.O.I. Nayoung after I.O.I. was a Member of Girl group Pristin who disbanded in mid 2019 & as of now is inactive in Kpop , & Chaeyeon who debuted with DIA & withdrew from group activities to participate in Produce 101 and obviously becoming a member of I.O.I. after they disbanded she went back to be a member of girl group DIA, IOI meber Sohye is now a successful and active actress & last but not least Yeonjung after IOI became a member of girl group WJSN

If you like sejeong you should check out her work in gugudan and as a solo artist. She is EXTREMELY big in Korea for her acting and her music. almost all of her songs have PAKs

They could've been one of the greatest to ever do it if they were a permanent group but it was very short lived. I would compare the experience to watching a comet passing on the horizon. It was very beautiful yet you only get to see it for a very short while. You just have to enjoy and savor every moment while you still can.

Oh awesome. IOI is amazing and missed. So just FYI Sejeong and Mina were in a group during and after IOI together called Gugudan which unfortunately disbanded December 31 2020. Sejeong and Mina are both doing acting. Chaeyeon which you mentioned is acting but also in an Idol Group called DIA. I like them. Nayoung and Jieqiong were in Pristin yep another unfortunate disbanded Group😥. Both are now acting and Modeling. Sohye is acting, Doyeon and Yoojung as you said are in Weki Meki. Yeonjung WJSn which will be on a show called Queendom soon. And Somi and Chungha solousts.
You must also check out Kim Sejeong's solo stuff. She did a cover of IU's My Sea that's amazing. I forgot to say that Weki Meki's dance practices are great.

I'm discovering Sejeong same way as you. My new bias wrecker. Seeing her in "Business Proposal," I figured she must be an established comedic actress on par with SNL level, only to discover she's also a K-pop idol with a voice at least as good as Taeyeon (even better imho, after hearing her in Gugudan and its subgroup and etc.), and kicks ass on variety shows and competition shows. Also agree w/ you re her personality. :-)

Yoojung!!!!!! She's one of my ults I love her so much!!!!! She's an incredibly talented dancer and rapper. She was on Hit the Stage with Chungha and I definitely recommend checking it out!

there’s a “jyp” part because jyp himself produced then gifted this song to IOI. either this or TT was about to be TWICE’s comeback at that time and jyp chose TT for TWICE and gave vvv to IOI instead.

Weki Meki is one of my faves. Another group that's been around for awhile but hasn't won any shows. Check out Cool, La La La and Tiki Taka. Yoojung is also one of the best dancers in kpop. Off topic: WJSN Yeonjung is a vocal phenom.

I need to get into Gugudan honestly. Sejeong is such a vibe. personality wise, she is one of my favorite in the entire industry!
and imagine that back then I.O.I debut in a same time than TWICE and BLACKPINK and they win agains't them back then some time TWICE , win , then it's blackpink turn then I.O.I . that was the 3 monster rookie back in a day if we count RED VELVET they debut the year before . we got 4 phenomenal female group . i'am sure than if I.O.I wasn't a temporary group now they will be at the same level than TWICE and RED VELVET for sure .

This group buried TWICE in the talent department. Not even close. Very frustrating that these girls were never meant to be anything more than a temporary group. WHATTA MAN is iconic especially Yoo - Jung's part. This is the song that Eric should react to.
