The explosions probably are there to reinforce them being demonic in some way; I’m not sure of the reasoning, but Japanese mythology has *some* sort of malign entity (don’t know if it’s oni or something else) turning into stone rubble on death.

Geez, these enemies sure need to know how to use teamwork more later on; they are getting lots of friendly fire, lol! One boss drops bombs around and his brother steps on them, then a syndicate leader just pelts his own soldiers because they miss an attack? XD

Also the Z-layer rendering in the final fight and escape scene was like completely backwards. Is it like that on original hardware?
