A buddy of mine got me into this game about a month after it came out on pc. I have just over 3k hours on the game and still havent done every single thing in the game. My buddy that got me into it just last night hit 10,400 hours on the game. Over 10k hours and even he is still finding new things to do. People that complain just dont play the game to it's full potential and it shows.
It's honestly a point to be made. If you have 4,000 hours in a game and complain about not having anything to do then it must've been a damn good game because it took you 4,000 hours to run out.
This game is 100% worth the price tag. I played around 500hrs on the pc launch before I decided my pc wasn't capable of continuing...my pc doo-doo, guys. I struggled thru those 500hrs. Out in the wild was fine, but this game requires you to go into town and my pc could not handle 100 ppl in town at the same time. It hurt to play. I'd have 5k+hrs in this game by now if my pc was not shit. That being said, I bought it for ps5 and I can almost guarantee that I'll drop at minimum 5k hrs.
To be fair, I do a lot of non-sarcastic ones too, but they just make these too easy to pass up! Dragon Age: The Veilguard is gonna be even easier to trigger them with!
Honestly man, I assumed you were a troll based off these comments, but it feels like they didn’t watch past a few minutes. Appreciate your honest and realistic comments on the game. Mentioning the value judgement of it too. Most reviewers leave out that aspect, but most of us want to get bang for our buck. Balancing that versus fun had and everything, you mention it all. I had to stop RUclips myself, but I know the platform has changed a lot, and you gotta do what you can to keep up with the algorithm now. You seem to have found the right balance between attention grabbing titles and sincere commentary. Best of luck to you!
Indeed :) We like to troll the trolls, as it were ;) I have a VERY struct zero tolerance policy against rage-bait, so titles such as these are literally me trolling the doomsayers with positivity!
@@Renfail I really dig that approach! Will definitely be sticking around, so thanks for approaching the platform with your own original angle on things. That feels so rare these days!
If any game takes 10 hours of my attention towards it, then I consider that a good game. Beyond the 10 hours and heading into 100 plus hours then it is an essential game for me. Minecraft, No Man's Sky, New World, Call of Duty series, Destiny and Destiny 2, to name but a few that have kept my attention over 100 hours and are essential for my enjoyment. Each one of those games will always keep me going over the years to come. I think out of all of them, Minecraft is probably one I will go back to on a more regular basis and the rest of the games their updates will always keep me playing.
I have 1400 hours on my main character, still never maxed all my skills, never got perfect gear sets (PvP or PVE), haven't done most side quests, and this is before rise of the angry earth. I just started on fresh starts and doing my first play through the story beyond brimstone. I'm about 100 hours in, lvl 65 and haven't finished the main questline. There is a ton to do, people just think that because they got meta gear sets, they have completed the game. There is more to do and explore beyond that.
I remember when playing the beta on ps5 a few months ago like within the first hour it released. There was a group of people in global chat 'warning' people not to play this game, they were kinda disrespectfull about it. I couldnt resist so I responded that this was probably one of the saddest things in a game I have seen so far and even said 'with full respect', people were flaming after that which resulted in me blocking them, kinda hilarious. So far Im having a great time with the game and should there come a moment where Im getting bored due to content or whatever reason then so be it, so far its worth every penny. Puts a smile on my face seeing others enjoy like I do.
I was a devout WoW player for 15+ years until Aeternum came out and never thought I would but cancelled my WoW sub for this and I regret nothing so far after 100+ hours of game time since Aeternum launch. Loving everything so far and it has nothing but great gameplay + endgame AND social aspect. New World is very underrated even still with the population spike and I'm sure will only now grow when people can come to terms with how truly great this game was remastered.
I'm on PC with 2100 hrs and i still love this game. Even more after the "Relaunch", but I don't play PVP. I actually enjoy farming ressources, levelling my skills and so on. For me this game is perfect to relax for a couple of hours in the evening after my dumb 9 to 5 job. I put on my logging gear and listen to a podcast while i chop down thousands of trees. The 60 bucks for the game have paid out long ago, way cheaper than an anger management trainer.
Had 3000+ hours when it first launched. Didn't play for 2 years till relaunch. Not finished MSQ and max level already and still have 6 zones I haven't even stepped into. At launch the grind to max level was fun but was a grind. The difference between the launch 3 years ago and relaunch recently are night and day. The only downside is that because things seem to be dumbed down a lot people just run through what were really challenging dungeons now. For me though the game is stupidly worth the price which is currently about $0.01 an hour...
6000+ hrs in NW, what I would say is the quests are not interesting, almost all the quests are to kill something or obtain something from the chest, but no other MMO can match the fighting action in NW, war is very interesting and there’re always something to learn/ improve
The amount of content for games these days based on price is phenomenal. I remember paying 69.99 for Golden Axe Sega Genesis and it takes 15 minutes to beat.. .. Aside from ff6 and chrono trigger . I knew when Metal Gear Solid for PsX realeased these were really starting to change for the better.
I’m close to the 5k hours and on my 5th character with a second fresh start. I love this game. There is always something to do especially on a new character.
---------- I have 50 hours of this game, on PS5, and I love it SO MUCH!!! I can't wait to keep going. Destiny was MY go-to game for 10 YEARS ------- I hope I can say the same for this one!!!
I love new world, 600+ hours in. Lvl 47 in fresh start. Having the time of my life in this game! Stoped my wow sub for this game. Some ppl at 400+ hours in complaine that there's nothing to do, but what they mean is often either I've done all the things i want to do. Or they have 700 GS and done every expedition. The instance PvE loop was lacking because of a year without content. The PvP at end game is the way to keep playing.
I am new to your channel. I have watched a couple of your video's now and you have convinced me to try New World again. I played at launch and got my character up to level 32, I got a bit bored of the game and left. So since watching your video's I downloaded the game again and started a new character. I am having fun with it at this time. I am a PC gamer though.. *cough* :) I actually didn't know there was a new update to the game, so hopefully I will get quite a few hours of enjoyment.
@@Renfail Thanks. I am still trying to find my way. Trying to decide what character to play. I have made an archer and got him up to level 22, and I made a Flail build and he is around 24. I do find my self getting side tracked and doing a lot of harvesting. (Mining seems practically impossible, nodes are always depleted)
100%. That's the reason for the Aeternum launch. The main story (MSQ) and ALL of the side quests are now 100% soloable as an action-rpg. Only dungeons/raids/pvp are group, and they are 100% optional.
I've probably been gaming as long as you and many others, I think it's our generations "talent". Whenever the "community" comes up with a this game is dead, there's nothing to do type of complaint I'm reminded of the original Age of Conan release in 2008 (I'm a long time MMORPG player on PC). When AoC launched, 3 guys played one account continuously from the moment the servers went live, about 40 ish hours of gameplay later the account owner announced the game was dead and there was no end game content. He got to end game in 2 days, everyone else playing was still running around on a beach looking for a new sword.... There was plenty of content and more planned, he just didn't have anyone to do it with. New World is far and away better than AOC ever was, I'm enjoying it on XBox and am enjoying the vids. Thx
Honestly 45ish hours and you still aren’t done is already good. For just main story. Then there’s the ridiculous amount of side things to do. You can easily log 200+ hours in this game. Anyone saying there’s no content doesn’t know wtf they’re talking about. This game is also kinda new. Imagine it in a few more years.
I'm enjoying new world. Really enjoying my lil 1-3 hours a night. The pvp will be the most fun when I finish the questing. Quest just pop up all the time tho! Lol. Not even done with the story missions. Can't help but to do the side quest on the way 😊
I’m personally enjoying the game, but honestly MMOs are like a swiss army knife. They can do multiple things, but they don't do any of those things particularly well. So you can spend 50 hours in an MMO, but are you getting 50 hours of quality? PVP in an MMO will never be as good as a dedicated PVP game. Single Player experience (MSQ) will never be as good as a dedicated single player game etc.. What I like about the game. Its 60 bucks and its not trying to F you over and take your money at every turn. Its a pickup and go MMO.
This game is one of the best out there. Loving my time with the game. There's so much to do. I do see plenty of toxic players from PC whining about no content but there's plenty to do. They'll add more to the game because they increased the player base by making the game cross platform.
People skip every cut scene, skip through all text, don't do any side quests, ignore or crafting/gathering, don't explore, been line the MSQ......... And then complain there's no content 😅. It's kinda a joke really. I don't get it.
The PC crowd is angry that AGS spent a year or more on making a console version instead of making more content. In the meantime it's still buy-to-play with no sub or aggressive microtransactions... I suspect they make no to little money from the live game (running the servers alone costs money). It's a company, not a charity. To me, it makes sense. With the sale of the console version they get another injection of money which they can spend on new content. It's not rocket science. It doesn't help the studio has "Amazon" in the name, for some reason people think that should justify the hate . PS. I'm a PC player who's played since launch. I've taken breaks of the game for months, but if there's new stuff I come back for a few months and then I go again. As someone who played WoW 12 years before.... This is a welcome change of pace
Got to say good analytical review mate. interested to see what you'll make of veilguard. ive had to almost shut off my youtube feed because its just full of such malicious hatred when the game isnt even out yet. so many people jumping on the band wagon of 'oh bioware lied, this sucks etc etc'. need more creators like you actually giving these games an honest chance rather than spewing utter nonsense without a shred of evidence to back it up. is this going to be like the other dragon age games? no. but from what ive seen it's tailored to more of the action environment. as a more casual gamer im all for it. some of us dont play games for a living. but i guess you cant please everyone. as for new world. im about 20 hours in so far & having a blast. fairly certain ive barely touched the surface too. always been more of a silent observer but really felt the need to show support for you here as ive seen time & again you have taken a step back & given games the chance they deserve. anyway that's enough of a rant from me. just keep doing what you're doing & hopefully we can try to balance out these nay-sayers. anywho much love from the UK. catch you around
Shoutout fellow love from the UK! You left a great comment, describes how I felt about this channel pretty well. So many echo chambers online, it’s refreshing to hear some sincere original thoughts.
I’m at 20 hours And I have yet to leave the first little starting town. I do not understand how anybody could say that this game doesn’t have content. I don’t even think I’m close to getting out of the town lol
I've played since the original launch. I have over 2400 hours into the game. I've played a ton of MMOs and I think people's issue often stems from thinking about what other MMOs offer forgetting that those games with the exception of maybe GW2 are sub games. I've always enjoyed raiding in MMOs. I enjoy the Hatchery, Rune Forge, Sandworm and the newest 10m looks really fun. I wish they had more of that content OR added their mutation system to the existing raid content for more variety but that's nitpicking considering I have 2400 + hours of enjoyment into like a $60 investment. There were definitely some times where the game went REALLY long periods of times without meaningful updates, but they have improved so much since launch. Some people are gonna complain just to complain.
ive just done MSQ and some crafting/harvesting and I am at like 120 hours by week 3.. there is tons to do and you have no sub.. so even just if you play for the base stuff you get your monies worth.. idk
OG player here (3000+hours) i am on your side about stupid negativity regarding NW and content with thousands of hours of gameplay. 1 Thing though: I would not just see the value of my money in the quantity of gaming hours, quality plays a role too. AGS did better on the MSQ from 1-60 (revamped it 2022-23) sure thing BUT comparing on paper a God of War with 40hours Story for 70$ to New World with 50hours for 60$ does not quite hold up. (my 100hours Witcher 3 experience in 2015 still thrones alone against any other game, even with more hours/cheaper price for the games)
I completely disagree with the whole nothing to do thing because I am also one that has 5k hours and am still playing. One thing I will say is that by introducing higher gear scores they kind of make some content completely obsolete because most people feel forced to be 725 (which is not mandatory at all and provides basically no benefit) and just completely ignore majority of the pve content that there is
Im already 65 for almost 1 week, and still didnt have time to finish sandstone questline, and never been close to elysian wilds. It takes me almost 3/4 hours to finish all daily routine in cutlass keys. How someone says thats there is nothing to do in the game?
And if you have Steam, its free and beautiful!!!... with the current content my gf and I have played for over 80hrs.... And we haven't finished the main yet!.....were even playing more cuz were getting further into it.... We just started Faction stuff and I'm 61 and she's 58!!
This game was a 5 maybe a 6 when it first dropped. And now it’s a 7.5-8. If they did a couple things like. Make it so you can brake ore down into gems. Give old side quest more incentives to go do. Make it so you can select the gear you want to drop in dungeons/mutations. And Improve servers a little and this game would be a clear 9-10 for me. I’m sure others would have a different opinion.
I like your videos. But there is a big difference in 50 hours and 2000 hours. We’ve played this on PC for 3 years now. I still play. I take breaks from time to time. I also picked up a copy on PS5. After close to 2000 hours. I still love the game too.
-People got to 65 on day one. Optimizing the fun out of games then saying thers nothing to do, when really they chose that path. Its generally from people who either dont play mmos, and only want to play through a story, or people who play mmos like its their life, and want to push something like mythic plus and mythic raiding which this game just isnt about. -This isnt a shot at any specific individual because theres varying degrees of it, but this professional gaming culture has been horrible for gaming in general. The amount of people who now churn through content leads to dead games. Its like the stock market, as soon as theres a sign that someone has pulled out of the game, it has massive ripples, which is esp deadly for an mmo.
Been playing MMORPG since its inception and there's ALWAYS a verbal minority in every MMORPG ever created that cry wolf's "Bored, ez game and nothing to do!!". It's to be expected, and IMHO is to be easily ignored for the most part as its a verbal minority. Enjoyment is subjective, as is critique or complaint, so I also don't think such comments are completely invalid, as opposed to subjective to that individual. It's also worth keeping in mind the gluttonous consumption of such content by many, new 20-30 hour SP game finished in 2 days kinda players, the fact many complaining started at release so played the current content in increments as opposed to new players now, and IMHO the fairly different expectations many have towards MMORPG's when many have played their main years, if not decades.
I haven't seen anyone in the global chat about nothing to do. Everyone just spamming "x event" hahah and they are all farming like crazy. I feel so left behind at lvl 62. 😂
Love it. It's true, it has something to do with hive mind/group think, people want one thing and more of it, they don't get it, so it's all bad. People read it, accept it and live the borg assimilation thoughts like it's thier own. Sheeple.
I love the farming of the negative Nancys. Keep it up @Renfail

LoL Welcome Ren! I have 1200 hours in this game. I love it. I have left and came back again and again. The work amazon has done is nothing short of amazing.
I agree :)
I've never played an MMO and this game keeps constantly surprising me. In a good way.
Indeed :)
It's honestly a point to be made. If you have 4,000 hours in a game and complain about not having anything to do then it must've been a damn good game because it took you 4,000 hours to run out.
Goddamn right :)
That's the spirit :) Great games = fun times
Your sarcastic video titles get me every time! I gotta learn to expect it from you. 🤣😂🤣
I'll probably spend at least 10 hours fishing, alone.
I agree on all points. Love me some Minecraft with my brother and nephew, going on three years now.
The only other game that hooked me that much was WoW. NWA is pure cocaine for gamers.
It's damn good!
Yes, there absolutely is
I paid $52.99 in Dec of 2019 for the Deluxe Edition (pre-order). I only have 129 hrs in (mostly from Aeternum), but it's totally worth that $53 total.
It's pretty awesome to see people enjoying a good game insted of rush and complain after that
Absofreakinglutely!
I'm a pc gamer and own this one pc, with all that there is to do in this game I would never er say there's nothing to do. A game is what you make it.
it is indeed
I remember when playing the beta on ps5 a few months ago like within the first hour it released. There was a group of people in global chat 'warning' people not to play this game, they were kinda disrespectfull about it. I couldnt resist so I responded that this was probably one of the saddest things in a game I have seen so far and even said 'with full respect', people were flaming after that which resulted in me blocking them, kinda hilarious.
So far Im having a great time with the game and should there come a moment where Im getting bored due to content or whatever reason then so be it, so far its worth every penny. Puts a smile on my face seeing others enjoy like I do.
have fun! That's the key.
I agree with you, this game is awesome.
A movie ticket in my city is $25 bucks.... For two hours of entertainment. This game is easily worth it. Love you content
yeah movies are NOT cheap
Had 3000+ hours when it first launched. Didn't play for 2 years till relaunch. Not finished MSQ and max level already and still have 6 zones I haven't even stepped into. At launch the grind to max level was fun but was a grind.
The difference between the launch 3 years ago and relaunch recently are night and day. The only downside is that because things seem to be dumbed down a lot people just run through what were really challenging dungeons now.
For me though the game is stupidly worth the price which is currently about $0.01 an hour...
Absolutely legend
6000+ hrs in NW, what I would say is the quests are not interesting, almost all the quests are to kill something or obtain something from the chest, but no other MMO can match the fighting action in NW, war is very interesting and there’re always something to learn/ improve
The amount of content for games these days based on price is phenomenal. I remember paying 69.99 for Golden Axe Sega Genesis and it takes 15 minutes to beat.. .. Aside from ff6 and chrono trigger . I knew when Metal Gear Solid for PsX realeased these were really starting to change for the better.
Absolutely
Over 5000 hours player here. I´m completely on your side.
Welcome aboard!
I’m close to the 5k hours and on my 5th character with a second fresh start. I love this game. There is always something to do especially on a new character.
awesome!
Loving the vids and the streams ,, keep up the super work
Thanks!
they cleaned this game a lot. Finally worth revisiting
---------- I have 50 hours of this game, on PS5, and I love it SO MUCH!!! I can't wait to keep going. Destiny was MY go-to game for 10 YEARS ------- I hope I can say the same for this one!!!
I jumped into the stream right when you hit the 50 hour point and I am so glad I got in when I did super well out and grounded perspective on the game
Really hope NW: Aeternum does well, I'll definitely be checking it out when I have time. Visuals look great and the sound design is superb
After watching your videos on this game, you have convinced me to purchase the game, currently downloading 😊
have fun!
Great video the title had me questioning if I should sink the time in to play then I watched it lol, gg
That's the point! 😉
@Renfail I new it was a troll after 5 seconds my point was with all the negative news about new world I was hoping you didn't jump ship
Platinum in 212hrs,theres nothing to do...
2100 hours playing since launch… love the game!
epic!
Welcome back! You're in for a treat.
THE GOAT RENFAIL!!! KEEP THE NEW WORLD CONTENT COMING! I’m addicted to this game lol
Cheers
So hold up, you can play all of the main story and most of the side content as a solo player?
Yes you can. I am 100% solo
@jonbuckley Wow, okay. Now I gotta see which one I want to get, New World or Dragon Age Veilguard. Thanks for the confirmation!
100%. That's the reason for the Aeternum launch. The main story (MSQ) and ALL of the side quests are now 100% soloable as an action-rpg. Only dungeons/raids/pvp are group, and they are 100% optional.
@Renfail Thats awesome! Man, I really want to get this game but Veilgaurd is right around the corner! Decisions, decisions.
@@yeastydynasty If you have the time, play'em both!
I've played every night this week and I go weeks at a time without being online. It's a ton of fun
Thx
Yeah there are always speed runners
Have you finished all the side quests I don't think you have...have you
If I go out and work on side quests I'll be spending 3 to 400 hours in this game
Can't help but to do the side quest on the way 😊
lots of stuff to do :)
Im thinkng of doing side quests after i finish the game. I am in my 40s for my lvl. Just joined a faction. Im enjoying this game by myself.
So. Much. To. Do.
Bad news catches attention faster. Good memories replace bad memories over time. Both studied in business and human psychology.
Yep
This game is one of the best out there. Loving my time with the game. There's so much to do. I do see plenty of toxic players from PC whining about no content but there's plenty to do. They'll add more to the game because they increased the player base by making the game cross platform.
Yes. This. 100% this.
I agree with you! If I put 50+ hrs into a 60$ game is def worth it
Indeed.
People skip every cut scene, skip through all text, don't do any side quests, ignore or crafting/gathering, don't explore, been line the MSQ.........
And then complain there's no content 😅. It's kinda a joke really. I don't get it.
This. 100% this.
Me and my girlfriend has started this game just to casually play when we do game and it has been really fun
Indeed!
We're gonna have a blast in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Shoutout fellow love from the UK! You left a great comment, describes how I felt about this channel pretty well. So many echo chambers online, it’s refreshing to hear some sincere original thoughts.
I’m at 20 hours And I have yet to leave the first little starting town. I do not understand how anybody could say that this game doesn’t have content. I don’t even think I’m close to getting out of the town lol
Take your time
I've played since the original launch.
People don't play MMOs for 50 hours of content.
ive just done MSQ and some crafting/harvesting and I am at like 120 hours by week 3.. there is tons to do and you have no sub.. so even just if you play for the base stuff you get your monies worth.. idk
have fun!
Im lvl 65 and im overwhelmed with how much there is to do
yeah it's a LOT
I play on a new server thats nowhere near full & it still feels like the server is constantly going & full
Right?!
4000 hours in a game, and there's no content....incredible marketing PC players, I'm more than happy to pay $90 for that many hours.
Boom, right!?
60h and I am at Weavers Fen with MSQ :D There is soooooooo much to do in this game. How can ANYONE say Throne and Liberty is better?
Depends on the person for sure
DaBloon runs chest runs. Skill…
wut?
I completely disagree with the whole nothing to do thing because I am also one that has 5k hours and am still playing. One thing I will say is that by introducing higher gear scores they kind of make some content completely obsolete because most people feel forced to be 725 (which is not mandatory at all and provides basically no benefit) and just completely ignore majority of the pve content that there is
Yah but that same crowd plays that way in other games too and ignores all the rest =P
Im already 65 for almost 1 week, and still didnt have time to finish sandstone questline, and never been close to elysian wilds. It takes me almost 3/4 hours to finish all daily routine in cutlass keys. How someone says thats there is nothing to do in the game?
Love how you troll the pc trolls!!! 💯❤️👍
It's how we roll :)
And if you have Steam, its free and beautiful!!!... with the current content my gf and I have played for over 80hrs.... And we haven't finished the main yet!.....were even playing more cuz were getting further into it.... We just started Faction stuff and I'm 61 and she's 58!!
Exactly!
So Renfail... how do you feel about Amazon's rumored LOTR MMO, after seeing how they saved this game! I know my hopes are up.
Can't wait. I love all things Middle Earth.
It’s not that there’s nothing to do, it’s that there’s not enough to do. the diversity of activities at end game were, and still are, lackluster.
I have more hours played now then when it first dropped. I’ve been nonstop playing this game. 8-12 hours a day.
Glad to see this was a satire!
Stick around =) We do a lot of that here!
I’m addicted to outpost rush. I also enjoy farming so I’ll be playing this game for a while lol
Thought I was the only one crashing on teleport.
nah, it's a legit thing on the PS5.
im lv34 and put in 65hrs so far and no were near finished yet theres so much to do makes my spin 😁.
It's great 👍
If you use the dollar per hr theory. New world is looking good
it's one of many
I like your videos. But there is a big difference in 50 hours and 2000 hours. We’ve played this on PC for 3 years now. I still play. I take breaks from time to time. I also picked up a copy on PS5. After close to 2000 hours. I still love the game too.
Cough cough parody video cough cough
There is an insane amount of shit to do in this game. Have about 150 hours so far im not stopping any fuckin time soon lol
Booya
Indeed
I got over 300 hrs in and there is still a ton of stuff to do I don't see what issue is
Been playing MMORPG since its inception and there's ALWAYS a verbal minority in every MMORPG ever created that cry wolf's "Bored, ez game and nothing to do!!".
Lots of content to explore and yes always a vocal minority
I haven't seen anyone in the global chat about nothing to do. Everyone just spamming "x event" hahah and they are all farming like crazy. I feel so left behind at lvl 62. 😂
Chop chop lol
I have a PS5 and thinking of getting this game.
Love it. It's true, it has something to do with hive mind/group think, people want one thing and more of it, they don't get it, so it's all bad. People read it, accept it and live the borg assimilation thoughts like it's thier own. Sheeple.
Feels that way sometimes!
Teleportation DC is not patched yet. Happened to me tonight about 40 mins ago. Doesn't really annoy me though... things could be way worse!
Yep!
Haha I was there when this bit happened
Booya, that's the best part of watching the livestreams =P
