- Barcelona cruise port is 4th biggest cruise port in the world and the biggest in the med. Although it is a massive cruise port the infostructure is all set up and we find it is a very efficient cruise port if your boarding or just visiting on a cruise to Barcelona.
In this cruise guide we take a look at the transportation in Barcelona, the terminals, how to access the city if arriving for the day and go through the procedure of the cruise check in if your departing from the city. We also take a look at the cruise bus which transport you from the cruise terminal to the city of Barcelona.
Barcelona will be visited by over 750 cruise ships in 2023 from @RoyalCaribbean , @msccruises @costacruises @VirginVoyages and plenty more cruise lines.
So join the 4bs as we give you another cruise guide to one of our favourite cruise ports.

Really useful information as always. The 4B’s really are the go to for information! Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks as always James. Hope you get on cruise this year.
Very useful information.
Thanks for watching
A really helpful guide to those planning a cruise out of Barcelona! Certainly a guide we’ll refer to again the next time we’ll sail out of this port :)
Thanks as always for watching and commenting and watching while your away!! A great city and port!
Happy cruising Tom
And to you Neil
If I ever get to go I’ll be rewatching all these, much better than the official travel videos.
Cheers Steve definitely go!
Official Travel video was more clear than this one. Maybe because he started in Barcelona two day’s before his cruise. He was very informative about the hotels close to the cruise port and show you exactly where to caught the buses.
Great video. Thank you! My wife and I will be sailing aboard the MSC World Europa from Barcelona in June 2023 and I found this info very helpful indeed. Thanks again.
Hi Fred. Thanks for watching and commenting, glad it was of use. Look out we on world europa in April and will have lots coverage on it, be good lead up to your cruise.
@@cruisingwiththe4bs Thank you! I will keep an eye out for that video. We're cruising in the Yacht Club on this voyage and looking forward to the specialized treatment.
@@fredfolson5355 amazing enjoy 😊 we have to wait until October to try YC can’t wait.
@@cruisingwiththe4bs You're going to LOVE it! We've sailed in the Yacht Club aboard Divina, Seaside, Seashore, and Seascape. It's the only way to cruise. Lol
Or at least the BEST way to cruise.
While the video did say it, just to emphasize that Virgin Voyages goes out of the World Trade Center port, nearer to the city and to public transportation. We came in a day before and stayed at an airport area hotel. Taxi fare was 22 Euros to the Virgin terminal.
Thank-you for additional information Kathryn. Yes that terminal is lot more convenient, great price as well with the taxi. Tom
Great information... but where do we get their money 💰 to, but once we're there
Excellent info guide, definitely helpful for anyone that hasn’t been.
Thanks as always for watching and commenting Kim
Hi, thanks for the information.
Question, is the shop after check-in after security as well? Wondering if we could grab some alcohol or cans of soda to take on?
Yes it’s after security literally just before you take the escalator to the ship.
What ship are you going on? And thank you for watching
Will the cruise terminal bus drop you off at the Columbus Statue or only that World Trade Center?
Is it possible to taxi from our hotel (Plaza Catalunya) right to our ship?
Arrived at BCN on a Saturday November 11th 2023 at 7:30 A.M. from U.S.A..Had trouble finding Uber pickup
location. Several attempts to secure an Uber car, was wasting time. Uber would confirm and then always
cancel. Also I had preloaded credit on my account. I learned during the process that credit loaded in other
than Euros, was not accepted. Next visit will be better.
Hi thanks for watching and your top tip. I found it impossible as well to get an Uber as you say lots of confirming and then cancelling!
I worked on a cruise ship that ported in Barcelona.
I spent 4 months there one night…
Hey, thanks for watching. Wow, we love barcelona as a port and city.
Can the cruise bus return be used a week later at the end of the cruise!
Hi Barney, thanks for watching and commenting.
Not 💯 but pretty sure the tickets are for that day use only.
Nice Video...we have a cruise from Galveston (Texas)>>>>>>Barcelona>>>>Athens>>>>Venice, we have few hours in barcelona and need to checkin for next cruise, what can we do for 6 Hours in Barcelona.
Thank you, there is so much to do in Barcelona, we would highly recommend doing the hop on hop off bus it’s 2 hours if you stay on to get around the city but you can jump off in different areas that interest you 🙂 the bar at the top of the Olympic pool is very cool. Have a great cruise.
@@cruisingwiththe4bs Hop on Hop Off can we do it ourselves or we have to do excursion, we rather do it ourselves because we have to be back on ship cruise to Barcelona to Athens...Thank You
@@AsifKhan-jq3vw nope you can do this yourself, when you get off the ship and get the shuttle it’s straight to the point you can catch the buses. Or if you haven’t boarded yet the start is by the Christopher Columbus statue 😊
@@cruisingwiththe4bs Thank You, making notes on all the Islands we are going to visit...
@@AsifKhan-jq3vw your welcome enjoy your cruise 🙂 where else are you visiting?
Hi, how did you get from the cruise port to the airport at the end of the trip?
Hi thanks for watching.
We stayed in Barcelona for 5 days after so got the metro to do this you would have connect via the port bus or taxi to the metro.
Plenty of taxis available on departure days, fee is around 35 -40 euro. Uber is an option 39.00 euros. Or the airport bus again from centre of Barcelona. I would say taxi is easiest and more than one travelling is most cost effective
@@cruisingwiththe4bs Thanks for your answer! We will take your advice.
Does the cruise bus take cash and or credit?
Hi thanks for watching. As far as I can remember yes it takes both.
😍😍อนาคตหวังว่าประเทศไทย🇹🇭จะพัฒนาท่าเรือได้เหมือนท่าเรือคุณ🇪🇸🥰
Are there hotels nearby?
Hi thanks for watching. Yes lots nearby either rambles area or gothic are closest areas
@@cruisingwiththe4bs any recommendations or is that an upcoming video?
@@bigaphia check these three out, liked all three for different reasons
