I believe in you is one of my most favorite songs is Jerry Lee Lewis. I still have a very hard time believing that he's gone. But one thing is for sure the killer lives in me. I miss you dearly, Jerry Lee Lewis and it shall we meet each other again I will always miss you and cherish all the times I was blessed be able to see you as many times as I did. I love you
Jerry truly is the last man standing, they all overindulged in lif'e's pleasures, but the one who should not have made it did, I would never have wagered on Jerry Lee Lewis getting this far, and still performing, there should be a memorial to this guy as high as the CN tower, thanks Jerry for everything, the cuban.
That's one thing Jerry Lee Lewis would never do in that was lip sync. Jerry Lee Lewis was 100% real. There's no one like Jerry Lee Lewis and I never will be!
Jerry lee was known for recording a song within 2 takes 3 at most, it was all live recording and live piano playing at the same time, thus talent will never be touched again
That middle piano solo was the greatest of all time not only on this live perform but also in the studio perform. Now for those of us that remember, when this tune was on 8 track,it was interrupted going from 3 to be picked back up in 4.(I never understood the whole 8 track when it was really broken into 4 segments but I digress)Hell of a solo.
Austin City Limits was 1983...and it is the absolute best perfomance of "what i say" by anyone, ever! Have you ever heard the studio version of this song(I Believe in You?) It's GREAT!
@CaliforniaSheri im completely serious--this is just awful, horrible. I LOVE Jerry Lee--and could suggest some of his great performances...-----I was 7 at the time of this horror----but I can hear and see him plain as day on youtube...check out his 1981 performances in paris...his 1989 performances in london...his 1980 austin city limits' whatd i say' performance..there r many others of note..
Jerry lee is the greatest performer to ever touch the stage. Said what I said

This was probably the best piano performance ever by any artist in my humble opinion
You have to be a music illiterate to come with such a silly remark.

No overdub, no playback ......... All original. B&W exactly as played and sang.
