I don't think it's the collar itself that shielded King, but the glyph he carved on it, based on the glyphs of his hatching tower, meant to shield his existence from the Collector.
I thought it was pretty clear since the glyph is the only thing making King's ordinary collar special. And it has been alluded numerous times that the glyph has some special properties to it.
Same! I remember watching the debut of that episode and saw that eda gave him that collar bc she thought she was a dog. I laughed at that and when I saw him take the collar off I was like, “wait a minute, hold up, something ain’t right.”
And I think it’s a more complex glyph, cuz Luz’s glyphs are onetime use, but the glyph w king was glowing even after he take it away, and also was activated by itself
The kids' reaction to The Collector perfectly drives home how terrifying he is. He basically saved their lives, but in such a brutal way that they're all just... horrified.
He seems to have a childish indication since he is seeking to play games. He also may not realise too much just how destructive his power is which is why king stepped in about the fact that they need lots of players for “The Owlhouse”.
The final shot of the kids waiting at luz’s door crushed me. The way amity is politely standing to meet her gfs mom, hunter comforting his new little brother figure (gus), and willow’s adorable self has an expression that sums up the rest of the groups feelings after what just happened. Not to mention the parallels to the end of amphibia s2.

I know Gus breaks down mostly because the crew has just been thrown put of their home into an unknown world but I think Gus is also reeling from the memories of Philip, if everyone else is able to hold it together then I think Gus would be able too to. Like once the door shuts he's finally able to comprehend what he saw in Philip's mind
I thought it has the relationship between king and Gus. It’s shown multiple times that the two of them have a close relationship that’s not fully fleshed out because of the cut most likely.

If I’m putting the pieces to the Collector’s backstory right: he wanted to play with baby king while he was still an egg, because he views creatures he never seen before like Pokémon (things he can capture, *collect* , and play with). But his father believed he was too dangerous because of all the power he held and how he treated other creatures in his collection such as the owl beast. Hint, why he used that glyph or symbol king carved into his collar (the one that made it so the collector couldn’t see him) on the tower where he was born. Believing that wasn’t enough, he locked him away in that cube world. But, as retaliation, the Collector made contact with the titan hunters and had them hunt down every last titan, with the promise of power and glory or whatever. Which is how King’s father (the Boiling Isles) died. They also attempted to break their moon mirror to free the collector, but discovered that only a titan has that power. Centuries later, another moon mirror was found by Belos and, well, we all know the rest.

Good theory. Its a shame we couldn't find out what really happened. From what we've seen of the collector so far, they LOVE to play. The problem is almost everyone they play with can only take one or two hits. They're crazy powerful and isn't very aware of their surroundings, I mean after all they're immortal, practically a god. Now the titans were said to be extremely powerful, its possible that they like the titans so much because titans can actually match their power and don't go down right away. I can imagine they played with a bunch of titans, just how he wanted to play with king. From what we know, kings dad died and roared as he fell, most likely in battle. Its possible that battle was a battle where he sealed the collector away. Titans *seem* to vary in size and they probably played with all of them, where those titans eventually met their demise. How the titan trappers came about I'm not entirely sure. They could've founded them or they could've seen how they play with titans and think they're killing the titans. This is all speculation so take it with a gain of salt, however more plausible theories will continue to develop as time passes on.
When I watched this episode, for some reason at the start I thought "well I guess one way to stop the Day of Unity would be to move the moon, but that's not going to happen". After seeing the Collector move the moon with a flick of his finger I thought "well dang, that just happened".
The collector has too much power, like the way he can move the moon just with own his finger and he can shape reality whatever the way he wants to be his boardgame is just looks very chaotic, this makes me think that the collector reminds me alot like *a certain one eyed demon that's shaped like a triangle...* but luckily the collector is not really evil, he is just a child with a god like power that just wants to have fun and games.

It was such a huge mental “I told you so” moment for me when The Collector ended up having his own appearance. Everyone kept saying the teaser sketch looked kind of like Luz, creating the possession theory. Feels good to see that theory disproven.

Does anyone else think that the Collector's "Owl House" will be like Wandavision. He traps everyone and alters their memories and creates a show where he can play. Maybe we'll have part of a filler episode with the Collector acting as Luz.
Although I'm scared of the Collector, I sort of can't help but feel bad for him. I also have a theory for his backstory. He might have been made by a deity and at a young age was SUPER powerful and wasn't aware of the consequences of his actions. He genuinely wants to play with others and be friends, but he doesn't realize how dangerous he is. Then, King's dad decided to seal him away. And since he was isolated for a long time, he was desperate and trusted Belos immediately. If I was actually right about this, then it shows how tragic his backstory is since he was never aware of his actions and was sealed at a young age. But if anyone has a different theory, then I would like to know.
I don't know if I necessarily believe that the collector is 100% as kid like and naive as he's presented? It definitely seems that way, and Belos did trick him, so he's presented in a sympathetic light. But King's dad also locked him away probably for a good reason, and the entire time King was making a deal with him, something felt sus, like King was the one being tricked instead of the other way around. He probably is more chaotic neutral than straight up chaotic evil, but I also think he's dangerous and might not be easily persuaded to stop doing the things he's doing even if he comes to an awareness of how much his actions hurt others. I just think there's a reason basically everyone who's had some interaction with him in the past - King's dad, Belos - are seemingly afraid of him, why King's dad specifically kept King _away_ from the collector (so that he wouldn't be released but also likely for King's safety). Like if they could have just had a nice conversation explaining to him the consequences of his actions and he listened then idk if it would have ended with him being sealed away and there being an entire cult dedicated to releasing him lol. He also made Belos a literal stain on the wall after claiming he 'wasn't mad' about him betraying him, like that was passive aggressive and almost intentionally cruel lmao (which Belos did deserve, but still). This guy is not giving me 'kid who means well but just accidentally hurts peoole without knowing he's doing it' energy.

For now, I use this theory of mine as a basis for the Collector's backstory since we don't know where he originated from. I still find it interesting that if the Collector did all of the bad things with no malicious thoughts and just wanted to play, to realize that he's causing harm and destruction wherever he goes. He technically mentally IS a child so imagine finding out that you have possibly destroyed homes, k*lled people, and warped reality just because you wanted to play with others, and said residents will just disappear if he gets mad. That will REALLY mess someone up knowing they caused chaos and destruction when they didn't mean to. But this is just my depiction and theory of the Collector, you can agree or disagree with me. On one hand, I think he's an adorable kid but on the other, he is super OP that I'm too scared to come close to him. So my feelings and thoughts about him won't change until the new episodes arrive. i lean towards agreeing with tc here but with a key difference rather then him being completely unaware of the affects he has on others, I think it’s more the he has a very underdeveloped sense of empathy. I mean think back on your childhood, there’s probably more examples then you can count of shameful embarrassing memories of you being a complete ass, but could you tell you were being a ass at the time? The collecter was giving HUGE steven universe fusion vibes like when the collecter formed it looked like how a gem would form. and the backround music was giving a spinel and garnet fusion vibe with the happy go lucky music and the synth rave.
I’m expecting Season 3 to kick off with Hunter trying to grasp Belos’s death, Amity panicking because LUZ’S MOM IS IN FRONT OF HER, Luz getting to actually bond with her adopted demon sis, Vee and Gus discovering flat rectangular crystal balls called TV and iPads
I could see Gus and Vee bonding over her teaching Gus about the human realm. Possibly hinting at a pairing that would’ve been fleshed out in a full season 3

This episode was a masterpiece. Philip's fight in monster form, the collector, his theme being an absolute bop, and the ending BROKE ME 😭, also, is it just me or does the music that plays while Luz holds the portal a sorta reprise/remix of the theme that plays after the Lumity dance
I’m concerned that Belos/Phillip/The Goo is in the same town as the modern day witch hunter. Uh. Remember the training wand?? He had quite a few real relics from the boiling isles. Belos could have a fully functional human body waiting for him. Not only that, someone who Shares his same views. Idk. I haven’t seen anyone bring this up yet- but I’m worried!
Honestly I doubt he's gonna do much until the heroes stumble on him, he can't return to his human form and he can't use magic anymore he has literally nothing, he can't even return to the demon realm and has probably no reason to want that either...not exluding that he can posses people but then why his goop was at the old house and didn't go with hunter. Maybe he could try to expose Luz and witch friends or try to use them to return human...or maybe just stay home and rest and regenerate
Maybe we could see government agents show up from the same department as Mr. X from Amphibia. Since they’re still talking about the Hollywood invasion they’re probably keeping an eye out for other things like it. 4 young witches in a new world and a muck monster about in Connecticut would draw some attention no matter how much they want to stay hidden

I find it beautifully ironic how Philip *the human* is pretty much irredeemable, but The Collector, an *all-powerful cosmic deity* may have a chance. Luz could definitely work her magic, no pun intended.
I found weird how at first the fight against monster belos was put him down and calm him down, though yes, they had to convince him to stop the spell though he cant
If we had more time, I would have wanted Amity to talk about Luz essentially leaving them in the human realm. I understand why Luz wanted to go back for Eda, but you were essentially leaving your friends and girlfriend in a world where they knew nothing about, much like Luz was in the beginning of the show. Problem was that Luz had Eda, and they didn't and they could easily die since they don't know where Camila is living. Don't get me wrong, i don't want them breaking up or anything, but I feel like this was something that needs to be addressed before the fight.
Since the team can’t do more than six episodes (yeah it’s 3 but all together that’s like 6 22 minute episodes), I think the best way is doing graphic novels similar to Steven Universe and ATLA.

After watching the season 2 finale, all i can say is i hope everyone who was worse affected by the draining spell is alright and now that Luz and friends have made it to the human realm i can't wait to see how Eda and King will bring them all back to the Boiling Isles next season. And as for the Collector, i can't believe how powerful he is i mean i know Kikimora said how powerful he was but the fact that he was able to move the moon just like that means he's pretty much a god even though he's a kid.
The likely hood of this happening is small, but what if the Collector and Luz's final battle involved a game of Hexes Hold'em. Seeing as how the Collector loves games.
The red glow of Belos' magic isn't from the Collector. In Elsewhere and Elsewhen we see the glyps on his arm glow red *before* he met the Collector. He got the draining spell, and maybe the coven sigils since they're related to it, from the Collector.
I am gonna miss watching these breakdowns every week. I don't have any friends that watch Owl House so these video made me feel like park of a community.
I’m kind of lucky because my younger cousin watches it. She says I’m the only person who watches it as well and would talk about it with her. I once attempted talking to my friend about it and she said she didn’t like witches and magic. I was pretty sad since it’s a nice way for escapism of reality. I do have a friend I’ve known since I was a baby, she’s much older than me but when I told her about it, she seemed excited to watch it! You just have to ask around and see if they’ll be interested.

I think the main idea for the collector's character is that they're a being with powers that let them do anything whenever they want and don't need to take care of their physical forms as much due to their magic, and because of that they're bored as they have nothing to do and very little room to grow power wise, whatever they try to accomplished they can do so almost immediately so they instead just play games forever and have no limiting moral codes as they already have only very few interesting things to do already. The titan's however, seem to be more like children of the earth as apposed to the collector being a child of the stars and likely represent opposite things to the collector such as wilderness and freedom, physical needs and just being satisfied and not bored all the time, after all, there were many titans and we don't know if there were others like the collector, or maybe there used to be and he just went Bill Cipher on them 😶

Watching the season finale has made me both happy and sad. I can’t wait for the three specials and I hope that Luz and her friends will be reunited with Eda and King. I remember a twitter post that the creator of Amphibia wants to do a crossover movie with characters from The Owl House, Amphibia and Gravity Falls

Well he is kinda evil to me considering what he has done and said up to this point ( saying he liked seeing belos destroy the grimwalkers, trapping the owl beast in a scroll for eternity etc. ) i would say he is evil he just doesn’t care lol as long as he can have fun whether that means he is evil or good.
I like how Belos sealed up his scar, only for it to reopen the more he used his palisman abilities. It's obviously symbolic, and it shows us how it grew in the first place.
The “kill him” “Caleb” confusion is so weird to me. “Kill him” doesn’t really make sense given the context. If he’s talking to Hunter then “I’ll kill you” or “I’ll kill him” makes more sense and we didn’t get that.

That right the emperor's coven the head witches and other coven members want to have force to serve belos through promises them to have utopia free from wild magic but serving him was a foolish mistake they know that eda and raine was right.
The coven heads gave me cultist vibes, like yes they were deceive but they also were ready to kill anyone whom didn't share/convert to their beliefs (and refering to it as "paradise" sounded religious to me)
The thing is, if odalia knew about the draining spell, chances are they did too. Scouts are more like soldiers, they are there to act not question, but coven heads not knowing the truth (at least the one's that have been working with him for a long time like terra) wouldn't make any sense.
The collector move the moon scene did trigger my inner deathbattle fan, and, i did research it. Assuming the Demon Realm moon is the same size has ours, it would take bettew 10 billions to 10 trillions megatons of tnt to move it.
21:54 I actually have two theorys on what this could entail 1. The classic Crazy topsy-turvy Labyrinth with little to no gravity (what looks like is happening but looks can be deceiving) 2. Considering the fact that this game has the name house in it and house's sort of a family game where kids pretend to be a family with a father mother and child The collector kind of creates their own world reusing all the characters (think wandavision crossed with when the Avatar gang went to ba sing say) where everything seems perfect but in a really creepy messed up way (this ones my favorite)

So much in this episode, the entire time I was just glued to the screen. This did not let me down. So many scenes had me teary eyes & guts breaking down. You can feel that in your soul how scrambled everyone mind is and trying to face reality that just happen and leaving the people they love behind to uncertainty. I can not wait for season 3 I truly wish we didn’t get Reduced to just 3 45min specials but I’m grateful to at least be getting them. This show is so amazing 😻Disney needs to rethink about how they go about cancelling shows and keeping mediocre shows running 🏃🏽♀️

I like how even with the similarities, amphibia and TOH are different enough to stand out as their own shows. With the season 2 finale, imo there's no thematic need to have the plantars also transported to earth, though it DOES speed up the process of explaining to the Boonchuys what happened to Anne and her friends. Also it's fun to have the two families meet and become one combined family Whereas with Luz, a big part of the show is the fact that Luz didn't have any friends in school. She was sent to camp in order to make friends, and now she can introduce her mom to the friends she's made

4:55 and it's a different pitch for what he said to the coven heads! yeah, between that and the fact that he seemed to be aware of what the modern human world looked like when this episode showed he was clueless, not to mention how they seemed to make a big deal about how important the door was for the day of unity when it turned out it was just for belos to escape (also, did he seem taller to anyone before his reveal), makes me think there was some retconning going on here, likely due to the fact that the series was shortened.

Here is my theory: I think Gus will tell everyone what he saw when he used the mirror on Philip to haunt him with his memories. Gus did see the same as he did. Hunter will realize that he is a grimwalker of Philips brother. Remember the statue of the two brothers are in Luz's town and also one had a bird on his shoulder (I think it will be flapjack) and hopefully they will uncover more of how the witch got the brothers to the demon realm or maybe they find a way they can get there themselves. I think the season will start as they uncover more of Philips past since they didn't have a chance to really look around his mindset when they were there. I don't think this is the end of Philip, I think we will see them again. I think that goop was enough for Philip to have a conscience and try to reform in some way. When the group returns to the demon realm, I can see the Collector turning into a giant playground. I don't think the Collector will kill King, he seems like he wants a playmate more than seeking violence. Not saying that, but their power is strong maybe non intentionally hurt someone. Hopefully King will help the Collector control their abilities so they won't be so scary. So they will have another friend/ally. For wishful thinking, I wish that since the Collector is so powerful, they will get rid of everyone's sigils, cure Eda and Liliths curse and turn Hunter into a human and/or witch; then hopefully become a member of the Owl House. Just wishful thinking.
I think they'll be a reason why all the kids got to the human realm. They might find some answer in the library and or see a picture or Philip and his "old friend" that closely resembled Hunter and from there they might piece everything together especially with Gus seeing some of belos' memories and his green goop falling into hunter (which is kinda ominous). Though hopefully hopefully the collector wouldn't be as bad as a villain, tho seeing some of the comments, I feel like the collector just wanted to play with King(even saying he wants to play with him when he was an egg) but King's father seeing how the collector is so random.?? (It's kinda hard thinking of a word to describe) dangerous and unpredictable the titan might've seen this and thought that the collector might hurt King accidentally hence why he was sealed and why King's place was filled with that glyph, which King carved on his collar which kinda protected/hides him from the collector
I feel stupid for not realising this sooner, but I'm betting the next few eps are gonna be a redemption ark for kikimora, in the ep she openly admits to listening in on Belos and the collectors conversations, she was present when the collector and King talked and so she knows the collar he had makes him invisible to the collector.
As Luz turned around in horror, realizing that the door won't open back up to the Boiling Isles, when Gus just burst into tears, I immediately started sobbing... not that I wasn't sobbing already, but I sobbed even more. All of them reading Luz's expression says absolutely everything. They've been through so much in just a day or two, and it finally hits them that their lives will never be the same. As far as they know (and really, as far as we viewers know too), everyone they've loved on the Boiling Isles is gone. I'm so excited to see where season 3 takes us! As sad as it is that we won't be getting a full season, Dana has told us to go into it more positively!

As a person who had a rough relationship with a father figure, part of me wants an episode or arc where hunter mourns bellos. Or well, struggle with his idea of him. My Dad did some bad stuff and it was hard for my family. It hurt. I missed the hugs, the conversations, the little dad things he did, and I wanted all that back. But I couldn't just forget the heartbreak. I couldn't just forget the fights and the tears... it hurt so much more because I love him. I wish that it was different. I also almost wish i could hate him, but I can't. I wish I could live in the comparitive bliss of my childhood... It's a little selfish, but I kinda want to see a little bit of that in hunter. Bellos has done HORIBLE and to some, unforgivable things, but I think he had a little compassion. Even if it is twisted and buried very deep. He was the closest father figure that hunter had for a wile and he probably has attachment. I dunno. He doesn't have to forgive him, I just want to see the longing for some hope in the past that I felt. I want to see him mourn the past like I did. I want him to have the wish I spent days, weeks, or even months, getting over. The longing was almost too much sometimes. I'm working on focusing on the here and now. My actual reality, not what I had lost, but what I have. I want to see someone else experiece that. I know it's a bit selfish but I want someone relate to. Ps. unlike bellos my dad is getting better 😁

I’m really excited for the series finale because I think it’s gonna feel like gravity falls specifically the weirdmagedon finale. We actually got a hint at how Amphibia and The Owl House were in the same universe back in S3:E8 "If You Give a Frog a Cookie" of Amphibia, where a picture of the owl house is shown in Dr. Frakes's lab.

I think that The crew will use Goop Bellows, V and the home of Phillip to enter the demon realm. Phillip finally getting that whilst witches are evil 'in his mind' some do care for humans for others. He knows how to make a door, and goop bellows being titans blood. " I believe palismans are grown from Titans blood infused soil. They will go to The Owl House, Luz will have to defeat the Collector at his own game.

I don't think it's the collar itself that shielded King, but the glyph he carved on it, based on the glyphs of his hatching tower, meant to shield his existence from the Collector.

The kids' reaction to The Collector perfectly drives home how terrifying he is. He basically saved their lives, but in such a brutal way that they're all just... horrified.

He seems to have a childish indication since he is seeking to play games. He also may not realise too much just how destructive his power is which is why king stepped in about the fact that they need lots of players for “The Owlhouse”.

The final shot of the kids waiting at luz’s door crushed me. The way amity is politely standing to meet her gfs mom, hunter comforting his new little brother figure (gus), and willow’s adorable self has an expression that sums up the rest of the groups feelings after what just happened. Not to mention the parallels to the end of amphibia s2.

If I’m putting the pieces to the Collector’s backstory right: he wanted to play with baby king while he was still an egg, because he views creatures he never seen before like Pokémon (things he can capture, *collect* , and play with). But his father believed he was too dangerous because of all the power he held and how he treated other creatures in his collection such as the owl beast. Hint, why he used that glyph or symbol king carved into his collar (the one that made it so the collector couldn’t see him) on the tower where he was born. Believing that wasn’t enough, he locked him away in that cube world. But, as retaliation, the Collector made contact with the titan hunters and had them hunt down every last titan, with the promise of power and glory or whatever. Which is how King’s father (the Boiling Isles) died. They also attempted to break their moon mirror to free the collector, but discovered that only a titan has that power. Centuries later, another moon mirror was found by Belos and, well, we all know the rest.

Good theory. Its a shame we couldn't find out what really happened. From what we've seen of the collector so far, they LOVE to play. The problem is almost everyone they play with can only take one or two hits. They're crazy powerful and isn't very aware of their surroundings, I mean after all they're immortal, practically a god. Now the titans were said to be extremely powerful, its possible that they like the titans so much because titans can actually match their power and don't go down right away.
I can imagine they played with a bunch of titans, just how he wanted to play with king. From what we know, kings dad died and roared as he fell, most likely in battle. Its possible that battle was a battle where he sealed the collector away. Titans *seem* to vary in size and they probably played with all of them, where those titans eventually met their demise. How the titan trappers came about I'm not entirely sure. They could've founded them or they could've seen how they play with titans and think they're killing the titans.
This is all speculation so take it with a gain of salt, however more plausible theories will continue to develop as time passes on.
When I watched this episode, for some reason at the start I thought "well I guess one way to stop the Day of Unity would be to move the moon, but that's not going to happen".
After seeing the Collector move the moon with a flick of his finger I thought "well dang, that just happened".
The collector has too much power, like the way he can move the moon just with own his finger and he can shape reality whatever the way he wants to be his boardgame is just looks very chaotic, this makes me think that the collector reminds me alot like *a certain one eyed demon that's shaped like a triangle...* but luckily the collector is not really evil, he is just a child with a god like power that just wants to have fun and games.

Although I'm scared of the Collector, I sort of can't help but feel bad for him. I also have a theory for his backstory. He might have been made by a deity and at a young age was SUPER powerful and wasn't aware of the consequences of his actions. He genuinely wants to play with others and be friends, but he doesn't realize how dangerous he is. Then, King's dad decided to seal him away. And since he was isolated for a long time, he was desperate and trusted Belos immediately. If I was actually right about this, then it shows how tragic his backstory is since he was never aware of his actions and was sealed at a young age. But if anyone has a different theory, then I would like to know.
I don't know if I necessarily believe that the collector is 100% as kid like and naive as he's presented? It definitely seems that way, and Belos did trick him, so he's presented in a sympathetic light. But King's dad also locked him away probably for a good reason, and the entire time King was making a deal with him, something felt sus, like King was the one being tricked instead of the other way around. He probably is more chaotic neutral than straight up chaotic evil, but I also think he's dangerous and might not be easily persuaded to stop doing the things he's doing even if he comes to an awareness of how much his actions hurt others. I just think there's a reason basically everyone who's had some interaction with him in the past - King's dad, Belos - are seemingly afraid of him, why King's dad specifically kept King _away_ from the collector (so that he wouldn't be released but also likely for King's safety). Like if they could have just had a nice conversation explaining to him the consequences of his actions and he listened then idk if it would have ended with him being sealed away and there being an entire cult dedicated to releasing him lol. He also made Belos a literal stain on the wall after claiming he 'wasn't mad' about him betraying him, like that was passive aggressive and almost intentionally cruel lmao (which Belos did deserve, but still). This guy is not giving me 'kid who means well but just accidentally hurts peoole without knowing he's doing it' energy.

For now, I use this theory of mine as a basis for the Collector's backstory since we don't know where he originated from. I still find it interesting that if the Collector did all of the bad things with no malicious thoughts and just wanted to play, to realize that he's causing harm and destruction wherever he goes. He technically mentally IS a child so imagine finding out that you have possibly destroyed homes, k*lled people, and warped reality just because you wanted to play with others, and said residents will just disappear if he gets mad. That will REALLY mess someone up knowing they caused chaos and destruction when they didn't mean to. But this is just my depiction and theory of the Collector, you can agree or disagree with me. On one hand, I think he's an adorable kid but on the other, he is super OP that I'm too scared to come close to him. So my feelings and thoughts about him won't change until the new episodes arrive. Until then, I can only theorize and make AUs.
i lean towards agreeing with tc here but with a key difference rather then him being completely unaware of the affects he has on others, I think it’s more the he has a very underdeveloped sense of empathy. I mean think back on your childhood, there’s probably more examples then you can count of shameful embarrassing memories of you being a complete ass, but could you tell you were being a ass at the time? The collecter was giving HUGE steven universe fusion vibes like when the collecter formed it looked like how a gem would form. and the backround music was giving a spinel and garnet fusion vibe with the happy go lucky music and the synth rave.
I’m expecting Season 3 to kick off with Hunter trying to grasp Belos’s death, Amity panicking because LUZ’S MOM IS IN FRONT OF HER, Luz getting to actually bond with her adopted demon sis, Vee and Gus discovering flat rectangular crystal balls called TV and iPads
I could see Gus and Vee bonding over her teaching Gus about the human realm. Possibly hinting at a pairing that would’ve been fleshed out in a full season 3

This episode was a masterpiece. Philip's fight in monster form, the collector, his theme being an absolute bop, and the ending BROKE ME 😭, also, is it just me or does the music that plays while Luz holds the portal a sorta reprise/remix of the theme that plays after the Lumity dance
I’m concerned that Belos/Phillip/The Goo is in the same town as the modern day witch hunter. Uh. Remember the training wand?? He had quite a few real relics from the boiling isles. Honestly I doubt he's gonna do much until the heroes stumble on him, he can't return to his human form and he can't use magic anymore he has literally nothing, he can't even return to the demon realm and has probably no reason to want that either...not exluding that he can posses people but then why his goop was at the old house and didn't go with hunter. Maybe he could try to expose Luz and witch friends or try to use them to return human...or maybe just stay home and rest and regenerate

If we had more time, I would have wanted Amity to talk about Luz essentially leaving them in the human realm. I understand why Luz wanted to go back for Eda, but you were essentially leaving your friends and girlfriend in a world where they knew nothing about, much like Luz was in the beginning of the show. Problem was that Luz had Eda, and they didn't and they could easily die since they don't know where Camila is living.
Don't get me wrong, i don't want them breaking up or anything, but I feel like this was something that needs to be addressed before the fight.

After watching the season 2 finale, all i can say is i hope everyone who was worse affected by the draining spell is alright and now that Luz and friends have made it to the human realm i can't wait to see how Eda and King will bring them all back to the Boiling Isles next season.
And as for the Collector, i can't believe how powerful he is i mean i know Kikimora said how powerful he was but the fact that he was able to move the moon just like that means he's pretty much a god even though he's a kid.
There isnt gonna be a season 3 cheif, they only using specials to show what happenss next

I think what's even nuttier to think about is that King's dad some how sealed him. Meaning Titans might've been even stronger than the collector.

The red glow of Belos' magic isn't from the Collector. In Elsewhere and Elsewhen we see the glyps on his arm glow red *before* he met the Collector. He got the draining spell, and maybe the coven sigils since they're related to it, from the Collector.
I am gonna miss watching these breakdowns every week. I don't have any friends that watch Owl House so these video made me feel like park of a community.

I’m kind of lucky because my younger cousin watches it. She says I’m the only person who watches it as well and would talk about it with her. I once attempted talking to my friend about it and she said she didn’t like witches and magic. I was pretty sad since it’s a nice way for escapism of reality. I do have a friend I’ve known since I was a baby, she’s much older than me but when I told her about it, she seemed excited to watch it! You just have to ask around and see if they’ll be interested.

I think the main idea for the collector's character is that they're a being with powers that let them do anything whenever they want and don't need to take care of their physical forms as much due to their magic, and because of that they're bored as they have nothing to do and very little room to grow power wise, whatever they try to accomplished they can do so almost immediately so they instead just play games forever and have no limiting moral codes as they already have only very few interesting things to do already. The titan's however, seem to be more like children of the earth as apposed to the collector being a child of the stars and likely represent opposite things to the collector such as wilderness and freedom, physical needs and just being satisfied and not bored all the time, after all, there were many titans and we don't know if there were others like the collector, or maybe there used to be and he just went Bill Cipher on them 😶

Watching the season finale has made me both happy and sad. I can’t wait for the three specials and I hope that Luz and her friends will be reunited with Eda and King. I remember a twitter post that the creator of Amphibia wants to do a crossover movie with characters from The Owl House, Amphibia and Gravity Falls

I like how Belos sealed up his scar, only for it to reopen the more he used his palisman abilities. It's obviously symbolic, and it shows us how it grew in the first place.
The “kill him” “Caleb” confusion is so weird to me. “Kill him” doesn’t really make sense given the context. If he’s talking to Hunter then “I’ll kill you” or “I’ll kill him” makes more sense and we didn’t get that.

That right the emperor's coven the head witches and other coven members want to have force to serve belos through promises them to have utopia free from wild magic but serving him was a foolish mistake they know that eda and raine was right.
The coven heads gave me cultist vibes, like yes they were deceive but they also were ready to kill anyone whom didn't share/convert to their beliefs (and refering to it as "paradise" sounded religious to me)
The thing is, if odalia knew about the draining spell, chances are they did too.
Scouts are more like soldiers, they are there to act not question, but coven heads not knowing the truth (at least the one's that have been working with him for a long time like terra) wouldn't make any sense.

The collector move the moon scene did trigger my inner deathbattle fan, and, i did research it. Assuming the Demon Realm moon is the same size has ours, it would take bettew 10 billions to 10 trillions megatons of tnt to move it.
21:54 I actually have two theorys on what this could entail
1. The classic Crazy topsy-turvy Labyrinth with little to no gravity (what looks like is happening but looks can be deceiving)
2. Considering the fact that this game has the name house in it and house's sort of a family game where kids pretend to be a family with a father mother and child The collector kind of creates their own world reusing all the characters (think wandavision crossed with when the Avatar gang went to ba sing say) where everything seems perfect but in a really creepy messed up way (this ones my favorite)
I believe that the gang still has their palismen cause they can probably summon them the magic or the hid in Luz’s backpack.
I hope they're in Luz's backpack but I don't belive they can summon them since magic doesn't work on earth

So much in this episode, the entire time I was just glued to the screen. This did not let me down. So many scenes had me teary eyes & guts breaking down. You can feel that in your soul how scrambled everyone mind is and trying to face reality that just happen and leaving the people they love behind to uncertainty. I can not wait for season 3 I truly wish we didn’t get Reduced to just 3 45min specials but I’m grateful to at least be getting them.

With the season 2 finale, imo there's no thematic need to have the plantars also transported to earth, though it DOES speed up the process of explaining to the Boonchuys what happened to Anne and her friends. Also it's fun to have the two families meet and become one combined family
Whereas with Luz, a big part of the show is the fact that Luz didn't have any friends in school. She was sent to camp in order to make friends, and now she can introduce her mom to the friends she's made

yeah, between that and the fact that he seemed to be aware of what the modern human world looked like when this episode showed he was clueless, not to mention how they seemed to make a big deal about how important the door was for the day of unity when it turned out it was just for belos to escape (also, did he seem taller to anyone before his reveal), makes me think there was some retconning going on here, likely due to the fact that the series was shortened.
The Collector is a child-like god! His design is so pretty. King's sacrifices to save his friends are so heroic yet sad. Also, how will the Hexside kids handle being trapped in the Human Realm?

As for the Palisman, I’m not sure they’re separated from them at all. We don’t see their staffs sure, but neither do we see them be separated from them or the palisman left behind.

Here is my theory:
I think Gus will tell everyone what he saw when he used the mirror on Philip to haunt him with his memories. Gus did see the same as he did. Hunter will realize that he is a grimwalker of Philips brother. Remember the statue of the two brothers are in Luz's town and also one had a bird on his shoulder (I think it will be flapjack) and hopefully they will uncover more of how the witch got the brothers to the demon realm or maybe they find a way they can get there themselves. I think the season will start as they uncover more of Philips past since they didn't have a chance to really look around his mindset when they were there. I don't think this is the end of Philip, I think we will see them again. I think that goop was enough for Philip to have a conscience and try to reform in some way.
When the group returns to the demon realm, I can see the Collector turning into a giant playground. I don't think the Collector will kill King, he seems like he wants a playmate more than seeking violence. Not saying that, but their power is strong maybe non intentionally hurt someone. Hopefully King will help the Collector control their abilities so they won't be so scary. So they will have another friend/ally.
For wishful thinking,
I wish that since the Collector is so powerful, they will get rid of everyone's sigils, cure Eda and Liliths curse and turn Hunter into a human and/or witch; then hopefully become a member of the Owl House.

I think they'll be a reason why all the kids got to the human realm. They might find some answer in the library and or see a picture or Philip and his "old friend" that closely resembled Hunter and from there they might piece everything together especially with Gus seeing some of belos' memories and his green goop falling into hunter (which is kinda ominous). Though hopefully hopefully the collector wouldn't be as bad as a villain, tho seeing some of the comments, I feel like the collector just wanted to play with King(even saying he wants to play with him when he was an egg) but King's father seeing how the collector is so random.?? (It's kinda hard thinking of a word to describe) dangerous and unpredictable the titan might've seen this and thought that the collector might hurt King accidentally hence why he was sealed and why King's place was filled with that glyph, which King carved on his collar which kinda protected/hides him from the collector
I feel stupid for not realising this sooner, but I'm betting the next few eps are gonna be a redemption ark for kikimora, in the ep she openly admits to listening in on Belos and the collectors conversations, she was present when the collector and King talked and so she knows the collar he had makes him invisible to the collector.
As Luz turned around in horror, realizing that the door won't open back up to the Boiling Isles, when Gus just burst into tears, I immediately started sobbing... not that I wasn't sobbing already, but I sobbed even more. All of them reading Luz's expression says absolutely everything. They've been through so much in just a day or two, and it finally hits them that their lives will never be the same. As far as they know (and really, as far as we viewers know too), everyone they've loved on the Boiling Isles is gone.
I'm so excited to see where season 3 takes us! As sad as it is that we won't be getting a full season, Dana has told us to go into it more positively!

As a person who had a rough relationship with a father figure, part of me wants an episode or arc where hunter mourns bellos. Or well, struggle with his idea of him. My Dad did some bad stuff and it was hard for my family. It hurt. I missed the hugs, the conversations, the little dad things he did, and I wanted all that back. But I couldn't just forget the heartbreak. I couldn't just forget the fights and the tears... it hurt so much more because I love him. I wish that it was different. I also almost wish i could hate him, but I can't. I wish I could live in the comparitive bliss of my childhood... It's a little selfish, but I kinda want to see a little bit of that in hunter. Bellos has done HORIBLE and to some, unforgivable things, but I think he had a little compassion. Even if it is twisted and buried very deep. He was the closest father figure that hunter had for a wile and he probably has attachment. I dunno. He doesn't have to forgive him, I just want to see the longing for some hope in the past that I felt. I want to see him mourn the past like I did. I want him to have the wish I spent days, weeks, or even months, getting over. The longing was almost too much sometimes. I'm working on focusing on the here and now. My actual reality, not what I had lost, but what I have. I want to see someone else experiece that. I know it's a bit selfish but I want someone relate to.

I think that The crew will use Goop Bellows, V and the home of Phillip to enter the demon realm. Phillip finally getting that whilst witches are evil 'in his mind' some do care for humans for others. He knows how to make a door, and goop bellows being titans blood. " I believe palismans are grown from Titans blood infused soil. They will go to The Owl House, Luz will have to defeat the Collector at his own game.
