I appreciate your videos because you include sculpt information! I would appreciate an arrow over a static image showing exactly where the issues are though. I'm trying to teach myself how to paint better, and part of this is finding the manufacturing blemishes. I think it would be helpful to know exactly where these issues are so other painters like me could know where to look for.
That is a really good suggestion. While I don't think I will be doing that as I run through the minis for the kickstarter due to the sheer volume of products there are to review, I can see that as something I can implement for future force packs and miniatures.
I took my scorpion off the original base, tossed the peg, and put it on a 40mm hex base I found on Etsy. It looks so much better standing on its own. The bigger base wouldn’t be acceptable in competitive games but who’s taking a scorpion to a competition? 😂
Competitive is the bane of my current BattleTech experience, I am personally leaning heavily into narrative and campaigns right now. Something about the way competitive games play just isn’t fun for me (not trying to knock it though it’s a personal problem) win or lose narrative is the way I mostly want to play and the mercs launch is giving me so many toys and tools for that.
They both have their good and bad aspects. As much as I like narrative play in BattleTech, I have also found that the narrative aspect can be a bit hard to wrangle sometimes because of the amount of stuff going on with the logistics end of it. I have also found that with narrative, you usually can't please everyone, you either end up with s crunchy logistics system that some people prefer or something simpler which other people prefer. With competitive you are playing against someone, you don't need a GM to work through everything, handle opfors, try to create interesting scenarios, and can just play a few games in a single day. I dont dislike either type of play, but find that with my limited time that competitive gets me more table time and allows me to enjoy the game more often with less back end work for me or someone else.
@@Unicorn_Company a very good point, I didn’t think of competitive play in that way. I also like playing pick up games using the tournament rules as guidelines, it’s just actually playing in tournaments were my competitive side gets the best of me which always seems to spoil the experience for me and I don’t want to spoil it for others.I so I totally agree the tournament rules are a great way to play!
One of my favorite Lances. The Jagermech is one of the best sculpts in the KS, IMO. Can't wait to add it to my "Loosers" Lance (misspelling intentional. the are losers, after all.)
loser lance, i love it! jk, witworth and scorpion are neat, i like all four tbh but the initial image of that lance is quite....poor ^^ maximum underdogs 😋
Great video. Thanks for the detailed reviews.
