Great video, thank you! Newbie question: After I / Topaz makes the edits to a photo, should I hit "Save" before moving onto the next, or can you just move along from photo to photo making edits and then save all at the end?

Very good video - I'm in the process of "getting used to" Photo AI 2 and so this type of information is very much appreciated : ) So far I have only used it on two images (!), but the results were impressive... Since I'm not using Lightroom or Photoshop for raw processing, but DxO PhotoLab (3), I feel I have to ask Topaz in what order they would recommend "traveling" - since file formats may cripple certain aspects...so, so far, I would have to use the tiff route from DxO (to Topaz), although Topaz recommends letting Photo AI work on a RAW (NEF in my case) file, but if I did, DxO wouldn't recognize the resulting file and thus rob me off the geometric correction, which is why I'm using DxO at all....but, 16 bit tifs are fine... : )
Thank you for the walkthrough. I just upgraded my Topaz suite with PAI and, having run a few images through it already, I wondered if I had wasted my $$. However, after watching your video, I’m seeing much better results. BTW, are you aware that when you zoom into the controls you sometimes cut off the portion of the image you’re focused on? For instance, on the shot of your daughter we couldn’t see the changes to her eyes. No huge issue-we just had to take your word for it. (Or maybe it’s just my screen?) Anyway, thanks again for your efforts.
What I can't find, probably because it's so common that nobody mentions it :), but how can I get that control panel on the right? With the filters, the sliders etc?
Yes, they've recently changed the UI... and the majority of photographers I know dislike it. Everything is now hidden behind buttons and tabs. To access the editing tools click the "Add Enhancement" (blue) button, top/right of panel and add your desired enhancement. I'm waiting to hear back from the Developers to see if there's any chance of going back to the old UI. If not, I'll be releasing several new Topaz tutorials in the next few weeks.

Hi - I have an old newspaper article that is very difficult to read. It is possible to improve the text? When I tried to do it the text became much worse.
Hey, many thanks for this walkthrough! I am using Lightroom CC as my main RAW driver. What I haven’t figured out so far, how an optimal workflow including Topaz Photo AI would look like. As Lightroom CC does not support any plugins what would you recommend?
That's a tough one. It's unfortunate that CC doesn't allow plugins. You're stuck with the stand-alone app, processing RAW to DNG and importing the DNG files. Or do your edits in CC, export to TIFF (or jpg) and bring them into Topaz for the final edits. And thanks for watching and the support!
I bought the program and it installed the version 2.4, should I try and remove it and go to a older version. Two other questions, if I try to open in PS it does not open the iage correctly, I get mostly a black image, with only a minor part of the correct image. Last I tried a image from yosemite of the church with a rock formation and my wife in the foreground, she is small in the foreground but when it tried to remove noise it distorted the face completely
I would try 2.3.2, it has less bugs and more photographers prefer it at the moment. You can download from the Topaz forums; community.topazlabs.com/t/topaz-photo-ai-v2-3-2/62911
Hi Chris! Glad to have came across your video on YT. This was really motivating to try out this product. I was just wondering if Topaz has a bundle version. I mean photo and video in one software. Also, I believe it would be also cheaper.
Sorry for the late reply. Topaz Photo AI includes 3 bundles; Sharpen, Denoise, Gigapixel (upscale). Plus, additional features not available in the stand-a-lone apps.
Nice walk-through of the V 2.0 features. Thanks. Question: my Removing Noise options look quite a bit different than yours. Removing Noise I have - Raw Normal V2, Raw Strong V2, Raw Normal and Raw Strong. Wonder why that is? Or am I missing something?
In this video, in the beginning, I show how to process RAW files directly and explain that it's not my current workflow. So, the interface you're seeing is the JPG/TIFF workflow.
I am new to photography and looking for a beginner friendly program. I currently have photodirector. Is topaz al a good beginner program and will it work with photodirector?
How do I, or can I, save edited photos from Topaz to iPhotos. I click save, then nothing happens. Thanks for the tutorial, it was clear, concise and therefore easily understandable by an old tintype like me.
Thank you, I found it. I'm guessing Topaz does not support iPhone cameras very well. Cleaning up photos with those shots takes forever and usually doesn't improve them much. However, photos take with my Nikon 5100 really, really clean up nice, even ones taken years ago. @@ParkerPhotographic
I process all my Raw files in DXO Photolab Elite with Deep Prime noise reduction turned on by default. Should I let Topaz Photo AI run normally or should I turn off noise reduction as this has already been done in Photolab?
Hi Chris, Your RUclips Clip on Topaz Photo AI 2 is very informative. Requesting you to inform whether Topaz AI 2 should be applied before RAW image is processed in ACR or after having been processed in ACR. Thank you
Thanks, Chris! Fantastic tutorial on this program. Thanks for putting it together.

Great video, thank you! Newbie question: After I / Topaz makes the edits to a photo, should I hit "Save" before moving onto the next, or can you just move along from photo to photo making edits and then save all at the end?
It depends on how many you're working on. A few, I don't save. dozens or more, may want to save in case the app crashes.
one of the best videos I have seen on Photo AI. Thank you so much for doing this
Wow, thank you!

If it's not there I can't use it in PS...
Any help?
