Flying around, mining Saronite, oh look, Titanium! Oh and a random guy flying towards it...and... ...i hate you... And killing the gorrilas for the leather :D golden times
2:00 This is so beautiful. I don't understand why, but i feel so bad hearing this. Like i've been missing something, or something is terribly wrong. It's like feeling happiness and depression simultaneously... Damn i wish that i could actually visit the Oracles and go searching little shiny things.
@3:00 Reminds me alot of the altepa desert themes from Final Fantasy XI. Wrath had the best soundtrack imo. Sholazar, grizzly hills, storm peaks just to name a few. *Memories* ;_;
+DairyDivision Productions hah XD caught her right away! in fact i had a hunter that had all unique pets in all azeroth! till i deleted him before pandaria :P and after i got legendary cloak from garrosh ... i quitted wow
Thats what i thought, searching for the zone theme! I love all the WoW music, but the WotLK score stands up before anything else for me, especially Borean Tundra, Dragonblight and this
It's so calming. Loved good old days leveling in sholazar basin. Also getting the eggs for green prot. Got him pretty quick too, took me about 10-15 tries. good times
Ah, the good old days of fishing up gobies in Bittertide Lake and basking on that sandy strip of beach... I always pretended I was on some exotic vacation...
One of my 2 favorite zones in Wrath. I loved questing through here. And the Oracles, so many eggs to hatch. The joy I had when I got my Green Proto Drake, indescribable. I was so happy that I rode that joy and joined a group and got my Black War Bear that day too. Strangely though the drake wasn't the last thing I had to get out of the eggs, at that point I was still missing one of the tickbirds and had to keep going at it a while longer just to get it. Of course on my alt (who I just got rep with the oracles on him cuz he was a jewelcrafter), there was a point in time that my funds ran out and I had to stop playing for like 2 months and I just got an egg for the hell of it. And when I came back I jokingly said to myself, "wouldn't it be funny if this egg (the first egg I ever got for that character) contained the Green Proto?" Low and behold, it did. I was both shocked and pissed. And when I decided to get the Frenzyheart Tribes jewel recipes for said character wouldn't you know it I got that wolvar transforming toy on the second try. So dang. Of course there was this time on my birthday on my hunter that I was cruising around and actually tamed Loque'nahak. Course I was looking for him for a little while but in the end it was a good birthday present from the game. Ever hear how he sounds when attacking, he sounds awesome. And lastly when the Venomhide Ravasaur was finally added (from a guy who played since classic it was a long time coming) I used that waygate often as a quick means to get to un'goro. And there were those people who ganked me when I was trying to do the Phantom Ghostfish daily, that wasn't fun. Wow this was long winded. But I just have so many memories here. Though I doubt anyone will read all this anyways.
Farmed damaged necklaces here .. I farmed around 800 + necklaces before cataclysm came out and ruined the game .. So yea this music used to be my jam back then
It reminds me of Zelda/final fantasy. This music took me by surprise today because I usually never go to Sholazar. I was blown away by how epic it was.
Remember when you had to had to Poke those Softknuckles for the quest you get at the Frenzyheart Tribe? Remember how many pokes? Also, do you remember those chickens you had to catch around Frenzyheart Hill ? I do to..
When I first started playing in late 2008, the friend who got me into WoW told me that some people liked the music from the game enough to listen to it separately. I thought "that's crazy, it's just a bunch of too-short little themes that repeat too often and they are like classical music Lite, trying to build up a whole feeling in 30 seconds then tear it back down and start over again." After years, I know what he meant though. They are all beautiful pieces. I listen often now...
"Welcome to the jungle...again" I'm guessing your referring to Stranglethorn Vale. I was glad to see another jungle zone in WOW especially in Northrend it gave it some variety from the cold and snow zones.
Well personally I played through all the expansions from Vanilla to Cataclysm and I feel that with WotLK they hit the nail on the head in terms of how involved they got the players in the main quest-line. They made you care about reading quests and getting involved in the storyline and this was partly down to better art direction and a more atmospheric soundtrack. Admittedly, the end game wasn't up to TBC standards but WotLK was definitely the most involved I have ever felt in the WoW world.
Never understood why people didn't care much for Sholazar. It's a great place to catch fish and discover old titan crap after saving the world a few times.
Right. I have alot to say, so for anyone who reads 📚 all of this, thank you. So many different parts of this particular piece! My favourite though has to be garden of life, as I love the Erhu cover by Elliott Tordo. (You can follow him on here ofc. ) But, I have to say also, from 7:39 is it ME, or does it resemble Song of Elune? Now, was that on purpose? Does it play for the same reason as SoE? Anyone? Happy to hear your thoughts guys. Tigermumsy, out. ✌🏻🤜🏻🎤
The climate for the Sholazar Basin is maintained by Titan pylons. It is theorised that the Basin was used as a Titan testing ground, so not much in there is actually natural occurring phenomena.
Great WOTLK old times but even better The Burning Crusade times damn that was epic Battlegrounds and Classes were true classes unlike now they all do absurd tons of equal shit in their own way, too bad that old EPICNESS is gone.
"Some say people are still trying to find the golden ring until this day. On some servers, repopulation of animals is impossible. The amount of slaughtered animals is unfathomable." Fucking. Golden. Engagement. Fucking. Ring.
Imo, the endgame in arena was the best in terms of balance/burst by 3.3.5. Almost every spec was viable with different combos which is a feat rarely achieved. As far as PvE difficulty/challenge it was not at the level of TBC I agree wholeheartedly. Quests and Wintergrasp were amazingly fun in WOTLK. Now if only WG worked on the server I'm on I'd be totally content... Oh and world pvp is down quite a bit from Vanilla > TBC > WOTLK :( so pros and cons of every xpac I guess.
I used to love this game, played it almost everyday, I was top warlock on my server. I really loved that they made something so BIG to one ex-pac. 'The corruption of outlands' & the freezing 'land of northrend' & 'the world destroyer' and 'panda-land'. I really cant belive that blizzard would make an ex-pac that is depending on land full of pandas. I miss the serious wow, not the abomination it has become...
Gotta admit that the Basin was a nice change in scenery but it got old really fast. The quests were dull and running around this area grinding for ore was a taxing job.
man i hate sholazar... not sure why? probably cause it seems like "insert jungle template here" also stands out in the frozen wastes. this music isnt bad tho lol
So beautiful zone and music..WotLK was so beautiful expansion, including TBC of course..i wonder, why Blizzard released that piece of crap named Cataclysm..
Lumynum Sholazar was a Titan creation, much like Un'Goro Crater. Both are "craters" and differ with the climate of nearby locations (Un'Goro is surrounded by deserts, Sholazar by snowy locations).
Man they really fucked up WoW. Even the music got worse (sure the pandaria score was actually quite good) but cataclysm and Warlords was full of an overuse of choirs and wardrums. I seriously don't need some "three steps to hell" esque music while I am crafting mats for my proffesions! That is what I liked most about "old wow" it had way more ambient music and used a full score where it was needed.
Its good, but it lacks in ambience, you don't want a continious battlesoundtrack when you are just doing really mundane stuff. it is so out of place. And dont let me start on the overuse of choires and wardrums. . .
Yes i agree ! Sorry my comment was a little bit confusing. I think WoD and Legion have a lot of the over the top music. Cata is mixed. Vanilla till WotLK and MoP have top notch soundtracks with atmospheric and immersive music.
Seriously, the whole bring the person not the class sucked! I made a Shaman to be unique with buffs and bloodlust, then they give the same buffs to the DK and mage!
2:40 is just absolutely amazing
Flying around, mining Saronite, oh look, Titanium! Oh and a random guy flying towards it...and... ...i hate you... And killing the gorrilas for the leather :D golden times
yup yup
I found Wintergrasp, the best place for Titanium. Before Blizzard fucked ppl over with crz.
It's really weird I am so nostalgic about being the WoW world.
OMG, the music.....the hours spent farming...the beauty...sooo GOOD!
2:00 This is so beautiful. I don't understand why, but i feel so bad hearing this. Like i've been missing something, or something is terribly wrong. It's like feeling happiness and depression simultaneously...
Damn i wish that i could actually visit the Oracles and go searching little shiny things.
That feel when the pan flute hits
the future has arrived! now you can!
SARONITE!!!!!

@3:00 Reminds me alot of the altepa desert themes from Final Fantasy XI. Wrath had the best soundtrack imo. Sholazar, grizzly hills, storm peaks just to name a few. *Memories* ;_;
spent 6 actual months in this zone. day in and day out waiting to catch Loque. right in the feels
+DairyDivision Productions Did you succeed?
after 6 actual months i was successful and shes been by my side since for 3 years now. by far my favorite pet!
+DairyDivision Productions hah XD caught her right away! in fact i had a hunter that had all unique pets in all azeroth! till i deleted him before pandaria :P and after i got legendary cloak from garrosh ... i quitted wow
i know your pain, bro the only diference betwen you and me is that i was on skoll
lol got it after a few hours luck pays
Best jungle in the game
In my opinion, at least.
I love the place and the music is amazing... but instill think Stranglethorn is the best jungle in the game... specially the older version.
Darkraptor X Sad, i started playing in 2012.
I still wanna see vanilla, sad Nostalrius was shut down before i knew about it.
@@Zagreus717 Did you ever see Vanilla with WoW Classic's launch??
@@adamk8073 boy, this comment is old!
Not really, stopped playing for.. about an year now.
I can't believe it took me so many years to remember how awesome this music is.
Underrated BGM right here for sure, just like Malevolent Mystique from WOD.
The amount of herbs in this zone is epic :)
Saronite Ore bots*
1:54 - 4:20 best part and best music of the game !
+Zack Manson ay 420
YES!
Thats what i thought, searching for the zone theme!

Zack Manson u know this sound is in Knights and Monarchy? :D old tactical gamę :p
😶😶
It's so calming. Loved good old days leveling in sholazar basin. Also getting the eggs for green prot. Got him pretty quick too, took me about 10-15 tries. good times
I love the music that starts at 10:57
I did all the quests in here just because the music. It was nice change after the snowy zones.

Love it, reminds me of final fantasy.
An Oasis, in an ice desert. Beautiful !
2:00 - 4:10 all day every day
It reminds me of Zelda/final fantasy. This music took me by surprise today because I usually never go to Sholazar. I was blown away by how epic it was.
Likerhater3 yes i swear it sounds like red xiii music but i cant find it anywhere
I always loved this track
It's not about the fun, it's about the eye. Those green zones are a welcome change to all those icy stuff like icecrown or storm peaks
Remember when you had to had to Poke those Softknuckles for the quest you get at the Frenzyheart Tribe?
Remember how many pokes?
Also, do you remember those chickens you had to catch around Frenzyheart Hill ?
I do to..
Oracle master race ;)
This music always sounded more like Final Fantasy to me. Has a certain JRPG vibe to it
This is my favorite piece from Wrath.
Thank you. If I am ever in a coma, I would like this to play. Thanks for recording it. :)

how could i have missed out on such an iconic game.
OMG so many memories! WotLK was a great time, never want to miss it!
2:40 best part

Yesss, just been leveling in Sholazar again and the nostalgic music is amazing, gets me everytime.
Back when i had time to catch that dammed Spirit beast!
Man, how do I not remember this music. This is (almost) better than the pirate tavern music!
unfortunately, when I was 14 I didn't pex in this zone, i took the others, so i discovered this marvelous music years later when i was 22
Never understood why people didn't care much for Sholazar. It's a great place to catch fish and discover old titan crap after saving the world a few times.
this right here mate
My only complaint about the zone is that the wolvar don't sell eggs
7:37
just heard this being played in Disney animal Kingdom florida
yeah was pretty shocked when I realised it was wow music
You're not the first person to say that? I wonder what made Disney get rights to play this? Great song, I just figured they'd make their own haha.
I think this will be played in heaven ...
So much Minerals and herbs gathered there!!
"ahh what a wonderful place" *Roar* "Oh shit!" (he was never heard from agian) "OK so whose next?"
I usually play with the bass off, because I skype with friends. I finally realise what I've been missing!
beautifully recorded. :)
I don't know why, but this makes me think of the opening theme from RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Right. I have alot to say, so for anyone who reads 📚 all of this, thank you. So many different parts of this particular piece! with this kind of music out there there's a good reason to actually get loremaster :D
2:09 this is beatifull
Am I the only one who think that this has a bit of Donkey Kong-ish sound in it?
i'd say golden sun
nostalgie
4:33 Look Simba. Everything the Light touches is our kingdom.....
Sitting on the sandy beach at Bittertide Lake
I swear at 2:40 it reminds me of final fantasy X when you go into the forests or something like that
I got that same goddamn vibe too. RPGs like this are always kept close to my heart.
Specifically reminds me of The Sprouting, and I think Kilika.
How can jungle be in such cold area?
it's magic
i am trying to level as slowly as I can in northrend, just because of the music

So beautiful zone and music..WotLK was so beautiful expansion, including TBC of course..i wonder, why Blizzard released that piece of crap named Cataclysm..
Green proto drake anyone? :)
I take two please. Thank you.
People talking about wotlk being "good old times" don't know shit about what it was like in TBC and Classic... now THOSE were good old times...
of course, the actual music would be better.
420 likes uploaded on 4/20....had to dislike
In my opinion, this had no business in Northrend.
lopido Your point being...?
Good thing it's your opinion and your opinion sucks.
Lumynum Sholazar was a Titan creation, much like Un'Goro Crater. Both are "craters" and differ with the climate of nearby locations (Un'Goro is surrounded by deserts, Sholazar by snowy locations).
It was an anomaly like Un'Goro, created by Titans.

+Abstract Viking Amen to that, never really thought about what bothered me with the WoD music but i think you hit the nail on the head on that one.
Could not agree more with you. Shit was way more atmospheric before Cata.
Yes i agree ! Sorry my comment was a little bit confusing. I think WoD and Legion have a lot of the over the top music. Cata is mixed. Vanilla till WotLK and MoP have top notch soundtracks with atmospheric and immersive music.
totally agreed

i hope the new expansion brings back good music like this. panda music is trash.
nah, most of the pieces are really good...
+Astral Activity fuck...!! it didn't =((
