- Join me behind the scenes for another of my single-take rehearsals for demos that I am prepping for, test-driving new concepts, or generally practicing. Usually recorded late after all my normal work is done, you might enjoy some of the tips and tricks I hope to offer.
In this one I'm looking at a couple of aspects of one of my ongoing labor-of-love models. This RC drift chassis is chock full of great assembly and part design techniques: configurations, mates and associated animations figure highly.
Awesome~!!❤
This is amazing! I can imagine how many hours this took. You definitely have a mastery of onshape!
Yeah a labor of love for sure - but through the course of it I've managed to test and experiment with a lot of new and upcoming Onshape features. I'm thinking about refactoring it again...
I kind of understand the Onshape part but the enginering part is genius. Really cool.
Thanks so much. You'll probably start to notice some themes to my demos and they are my hobbies/interests. RC Cars being on that list, amongst quite a few other things...
Where did you learn to design RC cars? I'd like to learn but don't know where to begin.
It's been a hobby for some time, and along with things I've picked up over the years from other industries/customers I've kind of just slowly built up my own skills. I do have quite the RC garage at home with a couple of drift chassis (4WD and 2WD), and some rock crawlers...
@@gregbrown-onshape7555 any advice or guidance could you give me?
