Cairns and the Hinterland (1950s Footage)

Footage (no sound) of the Cairns Hinterland area. Film begins with a Map snap shot with the major towns within the area including Cairns, Mareeba, Malanda, Gordonvale, Atherton, Herberton and Mount Garnet. Scenery includes the landscape, towns, farming land, rivers, waterfalls, mountain ranges around the hinterland, factories, drying tobacco leaves. Shows a wide variety of industry in far north Queensland.

You are correct. Sadly there is no sound.
Quite often the audio tape reels are lost, damaged or decayed prior to being archived.
