Layering Hair ✂️ | Basic Barbering Episode 1 | Barber Jase 🥢
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 24 мар 2021
- This episode I will explain how I cut the top with my scissors and how I layer hair creating different shapes. I execute a basic round layer combining sectioning and sweeping. This is the most efficient and accurate method I have found that works for me.
Welcome to the new series of Basic Barbering, where I will choose 1 specific technique and explain in depth how I execute it. There are too many steps in a full haircut tutorial to explain thoroughly, so I think this will be good taking it back to the basics and breaking it down properly. Let me know in the comment section what other techniques you would like me to show!
PLEASE LIKE! I hope this video has helped you. please click on the subscribe button and comment down below! Appreciate you all. 👊🏼

Man academies don’t even teach this as clear as you do! The fact you are dropping free dimes and content like this is a blessing for all aspiring barbers. Great work, looking forward to the rest of the series 🔥👏🏾
Your welcome my brother. Always a pleasure. I used to educate at a barber academy. But now I decided to do my own thing. And teach the world on RUclips. Thanks for watching my brother. Respect again. 👊🏼🥢💈
I also remember when i started learning 6 years ago, these are the videos i needed. So its time to give back and make the next generation of barbers even better!!
This is exactly what I mean. The content and production value is top tier. Don’t think people realise how lucky we are to have barbers like yourself who give back knowledge like this which would cost grands at academies!
You said it
This is honestly the best ever scissor work tutorial I’ve seen in a while
How thank you so much bro! 👊🏼🥢
Facts💯💯
My favourite video! Your scissor work is amazing!

"Tips of your scissors" So thats why my LSB scissors have gone blunt 😅. This one is some absolute tekkerz. Using the index to hold the guide while u sweep and grab the hair with the middle finger. Defo gotta try this. Again great content bro. Could defo do with a clipper over comb vid.
Exactly bro! U got that technique spot on! Deffo tips of scissors 👊🏼🥢
An episode on the specifics of using texturising scissors would be good. Currently waiting to go back to LSB for the last four days of my Level 2 course so will only get limited time there to ask and be shown. So any information on the different uses for texturising scissors would be great. For instance, I know you can use them to finish off a fade after some clipper over comb. If you could go into that I think it would be useful.
Great videos, by the way. Keep them coming.
Good luck finishing your course bro say hi to the crew at LSB. Really appreciate you watching my videos ! 👊🏼🥢
Definitely appreciate this video and what you're doing for the barber community. As a barber student and some one thats only been cutting for a year this has helped tremendously.

Keep practising my bro! 👊🏼🥢
Show us how to do uniform layer cutting, interesting to see what’s your way are like
Hey bro. This is a uniform layer. Same as a round layer, where all the hair is the same length on top. Nice one bro! 👊🏼🥢
Oh sorry, I thought uniform layer was guy’s with super long hair (like women)
Maybe make a video teach us how to blow dry & styling on thick straight hair
@@cheungman83 good idea!
Super work bro ✌👌👌❤❤❤
🔥 video bro, just getting into barbering and this is pretty useful for me. If you could make a video talking about shaping, weight that would be great!
Noted ! 👊🏼🥢

video coming soon 🥢
Clipper over comb next🙏
👍🏼🥢
Clipper over comb technique next Time bro 🔥
Coming next! 👊🏼💈🥢
Thanks bro
After you make it all even you point cut it. So what is the point of taking the time to cross checking it to make sure all even in every angle. Thanks. Please explain when you have the chance. I am learning how to be a barber. Appreciate your tutorial.
Always cross check because you might miss some bits out. Also to check the shape. Once you have a good solid shape you can customise it to create movement and to remove weight. 👊🏼🥢
Tenkyu bravo))
⭐
Very nice cutting bhai
This is a great video here’s a question. When you move to the sides of the head when would you keep your fingers parallel to the floor instead of 90° to the head. I see some barbers as they move towards the side they are still keeping their fingers pretty much parallel to the floor instead of rounding off to the shape of the head. Not sure if this makes sense what I’m asking?. Hope you understand
Yes that would be a square layer. Which means more weight as there will be corners. Better for longer styles 👊🏼🥢
Would you recommend Barber School for newbies?
I would love to know which comb you use. I’ve looked on several videos and can’t see a source. Thank you!
مبدع
Man, learning this stuff looks like it would be so much easier on someone else's head. Gotta learn to be my own barber because all the barbers around here just style out their mistakes. Look fresh walking out of the shop, but looking shit the next morning.
would like to see video on cutting a square shaped haircut where the ends are even and square no matter the way it is combed. Haircut made popular by the late , great jay sebring who brought hairstyling to hollywood in the mid sixties. Usually with a blocked hairline at nape of neck. Steve Mcqueen was a famous client among much of hollywood. He was tragically killed in the Charles Manson murders in 1969. Thanks for you videos.
Clipper over comb next ?
Coming soon!
I like your teaching species very very nice and very good but I am Tamil Nadu
Would you do box graduation to connect sides to top for a more square shape versus doing vertical side connection sections for a rounded shape like your client (cousin)? Would the sweeping/sectioning technique be possible for a self cut?
do you prefer point cutting over using thinning shears and why or is it for different purposes?
Thinning shears are good for removing weight around the connection area. I prefer texturising (point cutting) because I can control how much to remove without destroying my primary shape, which thinning shears can do.
Nice one idol
Thanks bruv 👊🏼🥢
