@@kennadeekeiser try dashing at better times (lunch/dinner) or only accepting offers over $1.50/mile! You never want to make only $20 in profit on a dash
Why I quit uber. Only time it was worth doing was weekends with the bar crowd. I NEVER got tips during the day but with the bar crowd on the weekends I would get tipped like 5/10 bucks almost every other ride.
I dash on ebike. My system works great for me as a side gig. I sit at home until i get work, go and then head back home. I do it for 2-3 hours and make around 30 to 60 a day when i do it.
I want to make around $20 hr. Thats what i feel my time is worth. When im doing the math to figure out how much i got paid per hour on a previous dash, should i focus on the active time dashing or the total time dashing? Because im not dashing sometimes. Sometimes im waiting awhile for orders but im still clocked in, idk if im unreasonable for thinking my time is still worth $20hr even while im not actively doing anything. Even though im not doing anything, im still wasting my time. and time is still worth money. So im just conflicted on which number i should be using for my math. Active time or total time dashing.
I use total time dashing. If you’re dashing, you’re on the clock. That’s why it’s important to dash during high-volume order times so you’re not sitting around losing money and wasting time. Using total time I still range between $17-27 hourly
plus wear and tear on your car and car insurance charge. Your time is worth more than most days pay. Then you have to deal with non english speaking customer service, if they answer, then has no idea why you called. Nonsense.
It was unsustainable from the start. They lost millions starting out and have to get their costs back all it is is a crypto rug pull but in real life. Put MILLIONS into a service and get everyone hooked losing money not even profiting and then pull all support massively cut costs and almost make your employees pay to work there. Over charge and you start raking in money again. They cornered the market, starved off anyone else and now get to do what they want.
There’s certainly a lot of negatives. I really enjoy the freedom but with that comes a lack of work I’m experiencing right now. May not be worth the trouble
I made $55 but then had to put in $34 of gas in my car afterwards
That dash was 5 hours!!!

@ i can only dash at 1pm - 3pm because I'm a mom.
@@kennadeekeiser do you complete shop and deliver orders? I find that those are higher paying during that time of day than regular deliveries

Drunk people get real generous. Wish there was an equivalent for DoorDash

Costs me next to nothing to do it.
I would love to do this if I lived in a city area. Sounds like a perfect side hustle
door dash is a scam my friend. the operating costs outweigh the reward.

Do you have a truck?
Cleaning or landscaping you can make $60hr in small towns too even. Way better
If you have a car you can clean houses
Source I went full time last april
Cleaning houses could be a good move. I did landscaping for a while in middle school and high school
