Thanks for watching Rogue's Gallery! I've got a couple more Altered videos in the works - a starter deck opening and review and perhaps more! Lemme know what you'd like to see!
I was fortunate enough host the Altered Roadshow for Alaska. The response to the game was far beyond what I was expecting. I can’t wait for our release events!!
I backed this game as well and hope it does gain even more steam. I can see this really getting much bigger after people really see what is going on here. The digital trading and printing is going to be very interesting and the fun of deciding which card to apply your foil to is pretty unique.
Everytime I hear about the foil thing I’m a bit confused. Do you like redeem it in the app and then the company sends you your foil. How does that work? I can’t imagine normal peoples printers could print foil stuff at home
@@christopherholfeld8137 : yes - the foil comes from the company - you get to select which card to apply it to based on the rarity you pulled. Its a pretty cool concept actually.
I’ve been super excited about this game for so long! I missed out on the kickstarter but I’m happy to see the box opening! It’s definitely a game I can see myself getting into long term
From the games that I've played, the game feels closer to a competitive boardgame than a cardgame which is really nice. It's a unique game for sure. Looking forward for more contents.
I’m excited to see a video from you on this game. I started Flesh and blood with your videos when Arcane Rising came out. This game has reignited my passion for tcgs again. I’ve not been as excited as I am now to build decks and play games in a long time. I’ve already got six decks built and plan to loan out four of them to have people play at my lgs.
Cheers! Absolutely love to see it. I've done one other video on this game doing an official preview (Flamel!) and talking about my initial impressions! Definitely more to come! ✨
I loved the good explanation of the cards and their characteristics. And surely some nice piece of fortune pulling the God (that's the official name, not Gold) Pack, since it only comes 1 in 250 boosters. Always happy to see people get it.
The final stretch goal of the Kickstarter calls packs that contain 10 unique cards and 4 unique foilers "golden boosters" - hence why they're referred to as "gold packs" and not "god packs". Where did you see that the official name was "God pack"?
I like how the physical and the digital collection is connected, but I wonder if there's a way to make the QR code less...obstructive. The art direction is gorgeous, so it's a shame there's a square of black and white there.
Congrats on your gold pack, I had the same reaction when I pulled mine! Initial impressions, your Foundry Engineer, Flamel, Baku seem really good/interesting. If you can somehow anchor/sleep your Baku, he will be discarding cards from your opponents twice which would be annoying for them, but those effects are hard to come by in Axiom. Flamel is super strong in a spell slinger deck (Afanas & Senka Yzmir hero). Foundry Engineer is just cracked. Also, there was a confirmed error with one of the uniques, Lady of the Lake has the rare art, NOT the unique art (Equinox is aware of this). So you can probably print on demand and they'll ship you the correct art, but, this error Lady of Lake might be worth value physically. Thanks for covering the game, really hoping this game takes off as it's refreshing to the TCG space.
nice unique hits! hope you showcase the game, it is crushing it in some areas of the world (1024 player tournament in France) but it needs help in the US!
Seems neat, but I worry about the long term viability of a game whose secondary market is super limited by digital transfer of cards. Also not being able to just see a unique and know what it does and how to play against it. Not super competitive when you have no idea what could even possibly in your opponent's deck.
40:20 It's still printed by Cartamundi, just the factory in Belgium. I noticed a SWU unboxer (iopentcgs) that was surprised by the difference in cardstock quality between the american and belgian factory. Maybe the american factory is cutting corners? ;)
Games that use Cartamundi such as MTG and FAB print from all 3 of the US, European and Japan facilities and typically feel worse than these. Perhaps Equinox is just paying for higher grade card stock? Cartamundi can have pretty awful foiling across the board (especially when looking at Belgian print mtg cards) but it may come down to lower grade stock
I just finished opening and scanning my four boxes from kickstarter yesterday. I’m excited to play the game more but I’m not trying to get every card for this game, just gonna focus on a few factions. So if you would wanna trade maybe I’ll throw my friend code in the discord!
This game wasn't really on my radar but the card art is seriously awesome! Looking forward to some more Altered content from you to help me decide if I wanna get into yet another TCG haha
@@ppsac1 I think opening it up to digital ownership is unique and allows for folks to easily trade without having to mail anything. It makes international trade so much easier and will likely end up being incredibly consumer friendly - which I'm all for
I prefer to play digitally so the QR code idea is cool, but I think it would be better on the back of the cards, doesn't look great on the front of the cards. Art style is a bit too disneyish for me but I like the splash art.
There's some logistical reasons as to why it's not great on the back such as judges not having to desleeve an entire deck to scan it at official tournaments
You just need digital ownership. The market will be digital and you'll just buy digital rights and have them print copies yourself. It's an entirely new and unique model
I'm little bit bitter with this game. My play group and LGS switch to this game and cancel FaB ROSA prerelease to do the lauch night of Altered, almost all my FaB community sell They're stuff to buy more Altered 😢
i like the Idea of this TCG but the mechanic of the uniques is not sustainable at all, Ive looked at some unique versions of 1 cards and there are so extremly many with vastly different effects, Its an absolutly insane Idea for an online cardgame where you could maybe augment cards to become unique to give then buffs and stuff, but as for a collectable if lets say 1000 people own a certain unique, you just cant make the effects all different. But unfortunatley this is pretty much the path of legends in Legends of runeterra. Still this cardgame looks beautifull but I cant see the physical card game go a long way if they keep it as it is, but maybe they will do sth with it.
Unique cards make for a terrible competitive and market environment. I'm not liking this at all. How do you even sell Unique cards on tcgplayer when every card is different.
You'll be using the app marketplace since the physical card doesn't matter. You'll be selling digital ownership and the buyer can just get Equinox to print thier own copy which will only be legal in events for the actual owner
I dont understand this comment. With this video I've literally already opened all of my KS pledge, I only backed it for 4 boxes maybe some people just like to play card games.

Holy crap that gold pack was insane. I’m still so confused, but watching this one cleared up a little of unknowns I had😅

Yeah I agree, which is actually why I think this game can appeal to a bigger audience than many other tcgs!

Those cards are extremely beautiful. I think the most beautiful art and overall info placement on the cards :o

That croupier unique is nuts. All in with a body plus the plus one on rolls. Already has a 0 for the condition. Really good pull

should be able to watermark them

Cheers and thank you for the analysis!
You and your plants stay in the greenhouse far away from me lol. Great video thanks for recording some so people can see expected value.
Even withstanding your bananas luck, this was a really fun video. Your enthusiasm for tcgs is infectious. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Very much appreciated! 🙏
The foundry engineer is damn good for sigismar and the lyra croupier and hatter is nuts also
Very nice! I am looking forward for more Altered content!
Quality of the foiling looks very nice and there are some cards I need to add to my egypt tcg buylist: Anubis, Hathor and Thoth
Very high quality overall so far!
just received the email from asia distributor that it will be here within the month, super excited!
Very cool. Are all the foilers a random card?
You get to choose what card you want to foil from your digital collection! Then you have them print it out for you! It's really cool imo

Yes! I made a whole video about it here and even opened some old packs! ruclips.net/video/5hfkvu6p7bg/видео.htmlsi=EjU5kxoD1-pLZv6q

185 packs, 0 promos

Are KS rares different art from 1st release rares? I have two rare Lokis and neither are that burger shack version.
The QR code is really putting me off. What do you guys think?
The more you play the game, the less you'll notice it.
I got used to it pretty quickly while opening my first box honestly
@@RedZoneRogue I feel this is like when digital watches were introduced. That QR code destroys the collectibility of this game in my opinion.

Fugly as sin and makes it look tacky. Easier fix would have been how ptcg just gives a code card or smth. The card back looks amazing tho
I feel like the QR code should be on the back of the card.
Nice pulls

Interesting looking game but I'm absolutely never going to buy into a card game with an ugly ass QR code plaguing the front of it taking up space.
