I still think that renting a car is a lot better than taking the train everywhere in Europe. You mentioned about car insurance, most credit cards cover car insurance for rentals. Good info
Hello! Thanks for commenting :) Our credit card sadly won't cover car rentals at 3 month lengths, can't remember off the top of my head how long it would cover us :( There are certainly pros and cons to each and even now in the UK we still find ourselves renting a car here or there just due to the limitations that trains/buses have. What we would love to do is buy a car and sell it when we were done with it or possibly just leave it here for the next trip.
Understand how pet sitting provides accommodation. My question is whether you are still able to take day or longer side trips or do you need to stay within an hour or two of the house?
Great question! We'll be sure to answer this fully in our upcoming video about per sitting...but to give an idea here...it definitely depends on the pet sit. Some pets require more attention and even specific cafe. But I think in most cases you can head out for 4-5 hrs at a time. You just need to be planners and make sure it fits well with the pets requirements. You can also take the pet for a walk with you depending on how far you want to go. We've been able to see lots while here.
