Stupid design? I think you sell yourself short. You've made a pretty believable sketch of what Danny could look like as an adult. It's also pretty heartwarming to see him and Vlad putting aside their differences and past for a while. I feel like the immortal AUs I usually find either involve an unrepentantly evil Vlad or a dead/not involved in the story Vlad, so it's great to see the two interact when Danny's grown up. It feels like they're truly on equal ground in this animatic. If you ever get the motivation to finish this, it'd be a very good day.
