Dr. K is such a Respectful and Respected Man. I really like how he explain stuff by the easiest way possible ♥️
Imagine being irl friends with Dr. K. He’s the type of guy to always help you out and be there for you, and conversations would probably never get boring. So much respect for that man.
Mental health has been something in the gaming community, and among young people in general, that was never really talked about until a few years ago. And now that Doctor K. is around it feels literally like a breath of fresh air. His expertise and professionalism really makes it feel like there's 'an adult in charge' now and that he's here to help all of us, but he's also ONE OF US. He makes me feel optimistic.

42:58 43:44 so true I think the problem is that many of the ppl who have the addiction don't have a wife or such to support them stopping it, or if they have a partner they get shamed for it. Cuz if you're using it for coping emotionally and it obviously has chemical effects that relieve stress and all worry for the time you are doing it, so that it makes it extremely difficult to find motivation to stop. Especially if you are lonely or in a bad situation or facing abuse, you have even less reason to stop a method of coping that is in some cases far more reliably inducing dopamine than interactions with people.
the podcast is always more interesting when dr. K is on, the guy is just a fountain of knowledge and I love it

It's unfortunate that there was even pushback on Train for what he said about his podcast, like to put an analogy to this, let's say that you have a sexual partner and for every day of the week for an entire month you two have been going at it. Let's say one of those days they say "Hey I don't wanna do this today, I'm not feeling up for it." Would you tell them they should just suck it up, because you were looking forward to this? This analogy might seem extreme, but the point is that with both streaming and the expectation of sex, it's asking the giver/recipient to ignore their autonomy for something external.

Man, first time watching and Train's thoughts are as messy as the whole overlay they use. He is so angry and defensive about everything and there's an excuse with a "my truth" opinion on everything. Feels like he ain't doing too good. Don't know. Never listen to him so just a first impression =D
