I used an oil paint that you mixed with water. This is a water based paint that has the consistency of oil. I’ve never used it before I normally use test pots of emulsion. I get a lot of clocks with painted glass and all of them have been painted blue on the back. I have gone back to using the emulsion. Hope this is helpful.
I’ve just dugout the tubes of paint I used (Windsor & Newton artisan water mixable oil colour ) French ultramarine and lamp black. Just in case this is the information you needed to know.
