Hi thanks for uploading. Your review is by far the best I have seen on the Bose S1 Pro and I like how you demonstrated comparing both single and double speakers from a distance which gives an idea of the volume one emits in a small room. I do Zumba and we have about 18 persons in a small room so now I can decide whether one speaker will work for me. You can never go wrong with any Bose product because they simply are the best in terms of reliability and quality. Again your fantastic renew is appreciated. By the way you have a beautiful home and it is tastefully decorated.
Excellent Presentation!!! Mine came in yesterday, and you answered every question I had! it makes a Fantastic little PA! Both Vocal and Guitar sound GREAT!!! It's only HALF as big as it looked in the catalog, but it STILL puts out ALL of the Sound I expected from a bigger unit!
I also own a JBL Eon One, and a Bose S1 Pro. The sound from the Eon One is fabulous but it is heavvvy! I love the Bose S1. But with BOTH of them, the volume from bluetooth is very loud but using microphones directly, volume not that great. Now...if I plug the mic into a mixer and use that output into the S1 Pro (same with Eon One) volume is great. Its to do with the mic preamps...
Very comprehensive review! Thanks for uploading this! I was just wondering, if I needed more channels, is there any way of plugging a mixing desk into this? Ideally I would like to have my keyboard mike and mini disk for my live set and switch to Bluetooth with the iPod for a DJ set in between. Would this be possible with these speakers or would I have to plug a mixing desk in for more channels? If so, what mixing desk would be best with the speakers? Thanks!
Question for ya, possibly out of your wheelhouse. How would this compare to a Bose L1? I'm a solo acoustic artist , and am looking to invest in a small/ portable PA System to play smaller venues. Bars/ Coffee shops etc. Not sure if this would be suitable for something like that ? I'm thinking the L1 , might be more appropriate , however this is much more attainable cost wise. Any input would be appreciated :)
Honestly this will really do a great job if those coffee shops are smaller ones under 50 people. I also own two L1 but i don’t use them anymore. I really like the fact that these S1 are SO compact and portable, and you will definitely be surprise how loud and quality they are. And they last for 11 hours! On a single charge! Without effecting quality at all, 3 channels in and a line out! I really don’t see the need for my L1 ones anymore. If these came out first, I would not gotten my L1. You can get 2 of these for about the same price as one L1. And they will be way better than a single L1. These has the same speakers from the bose F1 model 812. So 2 of these S1 come pretty close to the model 812. In my humble opinion, with experience from using both the L1 and S1, I would go with this S1. I love them so much, i got 3 of them :)
Thanks so much for this perfect review!! Is there a latency due to bluetooth? Between what plays on your phone and the output sound from the speakers? Also, is it easy to daisychain them via bluetooth? I want the for playing live music and latency, if any, is important. Thanks in advance!!! Cheers :)
Do you recommend this speaker for a karaoke for home? I’m looking for quality sound, and dose karaoke machines out there are crap, cheap material and poor sound , what do you suggest?
I have used both. Roland is over 10 years old in outdated technology no blue tooth and very bulky. The Bose is more versatile and great bass low end over the Roland. The Roland is $648 now new where the Bose is $499 at Best Buy as member price. Normally it is $599.00 Roland is heavier and more bulky to transport. Both good units I chose the Bose over the Roland. The Bose is much more versatile than the older Roland and easier for transport for outdoor busking or patio events. Hope this helps! Cheers!
Great Presentation! Can you set 2 up to play in stereo? I have a Yamaha Tyros 5 keyboard and use a Bose L1 Model 2 with B2 base. Love the sound but miss the stereo separation and tremelo effects.
Yes, you can. Here’s a video I did for them in stereo mode. Bose S1 Pro - Stereo Mode Vs Mono Mode - SOUND TESTruclips.net/video/auP4z7ANoxo/видео.html
So 1) with (2) BOSE S1 Pros, you can use iPhone app to PAIR 2, or line out 1/4 cable connect PAIR 2 together? 2) if you have have 2 Bose S1 Pros, you increase your overall ability to have any combination of 4 microphones or 4 1/4 jacks cables for like 2 acoustic guitars, 1 microphone and 1 keyboard, yes?
Hi, I have a query. how did you connect both the S1 Pro via bluetooth to your phone. I went to bose store and they told me you can't connect it. Kindly advise.
I would go with 1 L1 pro 8. However, if I can choose another option, I would definitely go for the L1 pro 16, it will cover all my needs for small, medium, or slightly bigger venues
Bose in Australia refuse to answer this question which is very unprofessional and rude - maybe you can tell me. With the built in bluetooth, can you operate 4 individual speakers to work at the same time?
The max for the Bose connect app current is 2 S1 Max. You can buy 3rd party bluetooth devices that could pair up to 3 S1 at once. That is all I know. Hope it helps :)

Good thing you can rotate the Bose logo or it would sound horrible.. seriously though great video. But Bose didn't put a main volume control for all three inputs at once.. ?????? Why not
not that much of hissing sound just a little which you can barely listen when you go and put your ears close to the speaker.. i have checked in BOSE store also there S1 was also doing the same hissing sound...so as my one..they said its normal..as the electric waves or you can say static noise passes through speaker it makes that sound once music is being played that sound goes...

Brayan Gallardo - it just means that you have set the gain (volume knob) higher than what the system is capable of delivering without distortion. Running a system at that level is taxing on the components and will generally shorten their lifespan. Think of it like revving your car’s engine to the point where it’s bouncing off the rev limiter. It’s generally not a problem if it happens infrequently but prolonged or sustained occurrences mean you’re going to have to open your wallet sooner than later.
Usually the crossover (the electrical component that sends lows to the woofer and highs to the tweeter) will fry or the speakers themselves will blow resulting in a very distorted buzzy sound at all volumes.
