I know some people might think that the excessive autotune ruins the song, to me, it actually kinda fits the aesthetic of the song
Nah I think there are only a few people that think that the autotune ruined this song. I mean Matt's voice is already perfect without autotune but he used autotune so perfect for this song. With the music video, the message, and the beat itself.. it fits so good its pure art.

this is one of the only times I have ever heard Matty use autotune and I think he like any other artist is allowed to be experimental with their work. This is. great song sending an even greater message so perhaps look beyond the auto tune and just enjoy the song for what it is which is brilliance

The charts are honestly kinda weird here. Most of what’s up there is Halsey and Ariana grande rn. Idk what else. I don’t listen much to the radio or pay much attention to record sales 🤔 but it was at the top of many best album lists (pitchfork, New York Times, etc).
@@ad-zx4iv I've lived in Canada for about 10 years now and people first started really peddling Robbers in late 2015. It really took a while for them to gain traction here, and even then, people only really seem to know the "big singles" from When You Sleep like Ugh and Somebody Else. I played Change of Heart to someone at work last Spring and they were like "This is the Robbers band?!" I think people are just kinda surprised by their different sounds.
it's not underrated at all, it's an amazing album and has been treated as such - the press went literally wild over it, they are more famous than ever before and this album is getting all the shine it deserves

June 05, 2019 was the last night I got spend with my dear friend Jonny. He was 19 years old and full of life. Fearless, full of confidence, humble but loved his designer clothes. We spent the night celebrating in the city. This song had always reminded me of him. That night I was able to play it for him for the first time while cruising the city in my car and he liked it. We all had such a great time. Hours later, on my birthday June 06, 2019, I woke up next to a cold lifeless body. My dear friend Jonny laid there next to me as only the shell of what once carried the most beautiful soul. Fuck heroin, fuck drugs, fuck violence. His first time doing it and it took him right away. Please send your positive vibes out to the Hiibner family. RIP Jonny 💔🙏🏻
