I don’t think it was a sudden realization for anyone. He was quite clearly a troubled man though, someone you’d probably have a hard time working with for an extended period of time.
I'm glad this dude is carrying the torch for turbonegro. He's awesome and deserves it. I just wish they'd at least do some reunion shows with Hank. Hank made the band.
It seems like the new singer lost voice. Sounded good in the first years, now not good. And they aged in terrible way - they still rocked five years ago.
