The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

By far, my favorite age to see her is 10 years old. That's when Norway indicated there was nothing more they could do for her, musically speaking. In my opinion, that's when she became a musical master, which we haven't had one of those on the planet for about 200 years. It is indeed a blessing for humanity, to be in the presence of AJ and be alive during the timeline in which she will do her magic.

Theres a video of her at the republic studios with the engineers marveling about her one take skills. I cant imagine being an engineer and producer having this challenge walking into the studio. All of the paintings you see in the background of Angelina’s home video’s are grandma, Mery’s work. She is Angelina’s greatest creative influence and inspiration. Mery is also the person that created, produced and videoed the majority of Angelina’s videos before Angelina signed with Republic Records. Everything about this production pays homage to Elvis’ 1968 Come Back Special. Angelina’s bee hive hair style pays homage to Priscilla Presley hair style of that time. Her full length leather outfit, the type of guitar she used, and pianist, Rob Christie’s red overalls are what were worn and used. Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. If you noticed she is always barefoot on stage and the reason to that is the following: When Angelina was 6 she met a homeless girl with no shoes and started to talk ended with her giving her shoes away. She also said that from now on she would always perform barefoot on stage until all worlds children had shoes.

The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song.
The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family.
Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
I think her version pays homage to the lyrics, and the meaning behind the words. It's so soulful........this young girl is truly amazing ❤️
Ever since I discovered Angelina three years ago, when I watched her sing "I Put a Spell on You" (and she did!), I've referred to her as a modern-day "female Elvis" -- her looks, her charisma, her voice, her shyness when talking and confidence when singing, her stage presence, her smile and laughter, her benevolent and kind spirit, her love for her fans, and so much more are so uncannily "Elvis-esque"!

By far, my favorite age to see her is 10 years old. That's when Norway indicated there was nothing more they could do for her, musically speaking. This is a reminiscence to Elvis. I think Priscilla Presley had this hairstyle in the past, the clothes and the guitar are reminiscent of Elvis himself.
She takes a big song and alters it according to her imagination. This time the original is almost unrecognizable. But her version is great. Really great. Angelina's version is somehow calmer and yet very emotional. Isn't it also a bit more modern? I think she updated it for today. Watching Angelina "grow" is also a nice idea.

In the beginning credits you that Mery Zamani is the executive producer. Mery is Angelina’s grandma. Grandma Mery was, herself, a child prodigy. She is a renowned painter and poet. All of the paintings you see in the background of Angelina’s home video’s are grandma, Mery’s work. She is Angelina’s greatest creative influence and inspiration. Mery is also the person that created, produced and videoed the majority of Angelina’s videos before Angelina signed with Republic Records.
Everything about this production pays homage to Elvis’ 1968 Come Back Special. Angelina’s bee hive hair style pays homage to Priscilla Presley hair style of that time. Her full length leather outfit, the type of guitar she used, and pianist, Rob Christie’s red overalls are what were worn and used.

The baby and very little girl are Angelina's cousins, the pre-teen girl is Angelina's sister Juliette, and the piano player is Rob Christie, Director of the Republic Records LA studio who has been working with Angelina since she signed with that record label in 2020 when she was 14 - as you mentioned she is 16 in this video.
I believe Juliette graduated from pre-teen to ‘tween’ today.

When you say you hear nuances of Elvis, she does the same in her jazz over of Billie Jean. One swears they can hear MJ in there. She really lays open the story and I hear compassion toward all parties here in this video. 2022 was a big year for Angelina and the beginning of being introduced all grown up. No more little girl in a child's white dress and flower wreaths in her hair. At her concerts in Norway, she was introduced with a diva look and the cover of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing." Her sister Juliette was the older girl and the 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids. 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie is on piano once again. He is also the music director of Republic Records, the music company she is signed with. The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. The black suit and red guitar was a classic look for Elvis from his comeback concert. What a performance and homage to The King!

Angelina's stunning voice in many ways overshadows how smart and sophisticated she is musically, and has been from an early age. As you suggest, she is not too intimidated by those with more experience than her to nevertheless get her opinions across. In fact, there are a few videos circulating of disgruntled yet never disrespectful Angelina being taken for granted. Let's just say that anyone she isn't happy with has tended not to make a reappearance. Time will tell whether she is too polished to thrive.

She steals another song!
If you noticed she is always barefoot on stage and the reason to that is the following: When Angelina was 6 she met a homeless girl with no shoes and started to talk ended with her giving her shoes away. She also said that from now on she would always perform barefoot on stage until all worlds children had shoes.
