I appreciate the attention to detail but design line for that… was super unnecessary. Absolutely could’ve used Finish Line. The chance of creating “waves” would’ve been exactly the same. All it did was provide you 1/8 inch of space that you “didn’t” have to eye ball. But an experienced wrapper wouldn’t need design line for that 1/8 gap.
This is for teaching purpose for guys that don't know or haven't used. So this was to give some direction to the new guys. There are always several ways to do something, each way has pros and cons. It's the ol you do you, and be happy bro👍
