subbed...I am in the reseach phase for my build. SLightly diff in that it will be a mini toy hauler/camper...Are there any issues with the lead acid battery off gassing inside the trailer?
Thanks for subbing! The off-gassing occurs when the battery is being heavily used, such as when it is being charged. The gas that is produced is hydrogen and oxygen (which is produced because of electrolysis), which is highly flammable, so that is the main concern. Eventually I plan to upgrade to a lithium iron phosphate battery, probably one of the batteries from SOK batteries. In our specific case we are only charging the battery when parked with the main trailer door open with lots of fresh air since the solar panels are the fold out kind.
