@@smittywerbenjagermanjensen4737 I never really saw the people in the main storyline that way honestly. Like the substories sure, that’s usual for yakuza lol. But the main story has people like Sawshiro, Mabuchi, Kiryu, Majima, Saejima, and the final boss
I don't think that's necessarily the case. Ichiban mentions that Sawashiro specifically gets fired up and fights way better with a weapon in hand. I wouldn't say that Sawashiro was fucking around because it's almost certain there'd be consequences for him if Ichiban went through that door. If anything, this fight was lower stakes for him consequence wise because he WANTED to lose and tipped off Ichiban's crew so they'd stop him. It's just that it was higher stakes for him emotionally.
@@smittywerbenjagermanjensen4737 admittedly the combat system was a bit too simplistic, ESPECIALLY for the boss fights, often having them weak to attacks that almost don't even exist (looking at you Ice and Electric). Hopefully for the sequel they really buckle down and expand the combat mechanics.
Plus alot of Zero's boss are just... repeats. And I know the series in general has bosses where you fight the same guy again and again but Zero is really bad with it.
I don't want to come off as rude and I'm genuinely sorry if I do, but it feels like Yakuza fans only ever care about 0 and not the other games... Yakuza 4, Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6's boss fights were really unique and amazing.
Bruh watching this battle intro and sequence back, I still can't get over how Sawashiro was sitting on the sofa with his hands clasped and head held down after dodging Kasuga's kick. Then he looked up like "Is that all you've got?!" That was bad@$$ and outright disrespect in a funny way. 🤣 Also, with how hard this battle was, I never noticed how hard the theme music went until now. It reminded me of the themes that would play when Kiryu fought through buildings before reaching the boss in earlier Yakuza games. I always said Yakuza themes sound like the BGMs from the original Smackdown games, but with a Japanese twist to them. I don't care what anyone says, the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series has some of the best theme songs and soundtracks and it's criminal how they're never nominated for Best Soundtrack at the game awards. 🫡🎶🤯🔥💯
That's one hell of an intro.
That intro is incredible.
Oh my, I was so preoccupied with how much flair Jo had that I didn’t notice how amzing his theme was
Holy hell, this song goes HARD. Never realized.
Yeah, it does. And the fight isn't easy tooXD Imagine that fight on Legend difficultyXD
Definitely one the best yakuza intros ever
Sawashiro was just fucking around with him the first time. This time its no holds barred, one of the few good boss fights.
One of the few? Man have you seen these games, Yakuza is full of hype boss upon hype boss lol
@@DavidHosey1 I guess he doesn’t like yakuza 7s bosses I’ll admit they’re a little cheesy but they match the jrpg style imo

1:22 Always loved this part;)
This boss fight had the best intro from all boss fights.
The role of Jo Sawashiro can only be played by Shinichi Tsutsumi.
Sawashiro felt more like a final boss than Tendo did.
Probably would have been more fitting. That he stuck alongside his son until the very end. It was just more tragic that he got used up to this point.
その歳57
休まる日は無かったも同然でしょう
@@Supperdude9 it's also fitting that Ichiban was fighting and overcoming the dragon tho
What?
I agree tendo just randomly betrayed and Killed Arakawa for absolutely no reason just so he could be the final boss
Man I literally just dreamed that I was fighting with this theme
how amazing, did you win?
"are ya winning son?"
Was there a choir?
To think that Jo was about 57 here.
he was about 58 here actually
@@rose_bushes Majima is about 50 too and he was just holding back when he fought Kasuga and the crew.
@@yellowbirdie7182 54* in tha game
Hirose in Yakuza 6 was 85
@@yellowbirdie7182 Hero of Yokohama was holding back as well
Jo was fun to fight. He definitely earned his position has second in command. Im dissapointed we never got to see the patriach himself fight
yep, we only know that he wiped out a whole clan out in a single day. i think even kiryu wouldnt fuck around with that guy if he was in his prime.
@@foulXD Kiryu still would, Omi Alliance is normal to Kiryu tho.
@@foulXD Even Tendo would beat Jo.
@@chairmanprakasit2539 i wasnt talking about jo, dude. I was talking about masumi.

Sawashiro is one of my favorites That guy is a badass
check out the yakuza 8 trailer
Sure I might do that
Can’t wait to kick this guy’s ass as Kiryu in 8
well well well
@@ryanologistonymLOL this didn’t age will
Possibly the coolest fight intro in the entire series besides the final boss for Judgement.
@3:40 Reminds me of Punch Out when you get knocked out and you are fighting to get back up. Every time I hear it.
I have literally posted the same thing, and I think it is why I gravitate back to this song often.
Brooooo I don't remember this song to be so INCREDIBLY GOOOOOOD!!!!
"사와시로 죠!"
*8대 오미연합 서열 2위 보좌 직계 아라카와조 서열 2위*
*사와시로 죠*
Sawashiro Badassery
sawashiro was a menace
8에서의 재회에서도 사와시로 전 핵심 비트들 인용해서 비튼게 너무 감성적으로 좋았다.

We're beating our uncle with this one!!🔥🔥🔥
Kinda wish it was a 1v1 instead of the whole party
And this is why I no longer need viagra

We can all agree that Yakuza 0 is the only Yakuza that ALL the bosses are good.
Sure, this one is good as well.
Yakuza 6 has the best bosses and all of them are good too
