This really makes me appreciate the movie because Gab got crap done. When his minions failed, he went and fought Ladybug and Chat Noir himself and (because he had at least 1 brain cell more than the show's version of Gab) nearly won.

Season 4: So that was a fricken lie.
That made me so mad. Ladybug has been repeating the same spiel to Cat Noir for FOUR SEASONS about how they can't reveal their identities to anyone or else there would be "dire consequences." But then she turns around and tells Alya of all people. ALYA. The same girl who instantly turns on her and gaslights her whenever Lila is involved and has an entire blog dedicated to trying to unmask Ladybug. But Cat Noir, you partner that's always had your back through thick and thin? Nope. And you just know that Ladybug would go off on Cat Noir if he ever did the same thing. But he doesn't because he keeps his word and respects her enough to not break her trust like that.

@FeligamiAdrizoeCharaKimdine The worst part is that telling Alya doesn't change much of the story. We could've still gotten Scarabella if the writers were hell-bent on including her. Just have Tikki deliver the Miraculous to Alya. But the fact that Marinette told Alya, because "she's her best friend and deserves to know the truth," meanwhile she keeps shutting Cat Noir out, despite them going through so many life or death situations together where they've had to trust each other, just makes me so mad.

Alya is honestly a character I don't like. She's pushy, doesn't think before speaking, and can say hurtful things. And tries to figure out Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities without thinking of the consequences of her actions doing that!
So true. And the only reason she was with Mari was bc of "the big scoop" and ditched her when she found Lila almost immediately. She wasn't even ready to listen to Marinette had to say and instead of trying to listen to her she instead puts her down and accuses her of being jealous and that she must be mistaken.

You know, I never really got invested with Mari and Alya's friendship, and I think you both (you and the person that replied to you) hit the nail on the head as to why. They really don't feel like best friends. I guess it's nice that Alya is so understanding of Mari's general . . . Marinette-ness, but I mean, c'mon, Nino and Adrien feel like better friends and we hardly ever see them XD

@@officialmiraculoussins so true! Whenever we see alya and Mari on screen it's always alya pushing Mari to do smth she doesn't want to do even tho it looks like all she needs is a push. Alya should have been stopping Mari from obsessing over Adrien or at least get her to stop stalking him. Instead she went on telling her things like follow him, give a gift, ask him to the dance etc etc. She never regarded mari's discomfort with whatever she was telling her to do. Nino and Adrien on the other hand had boundaries and respected each other's boundaries (even tho it was crossed a few times) and that's why it was such a healthy and happy friendship. I honestly hated alya and mari's friendship from the beginning. It looked like alya was putting up with Mari her best friend or whatever.
5:04 Actually, microwaves can interfere with wifi signals (assuming that's the kind of signal we are talking about because... lady wifi), so that one is actually kinda smart, although knowing the miraculous writers it was probably in the episode completely by accident.

Bryce Papenbrooke can really deliver great lines... but holy shit that brown cow line sent me to HEAVEN. Add that to Hawk Moth being particularly incompetent in this episode and the whole plot revolving around Alya being silly and Chloé using her comedical hold over Paris to win a school dispute and the whole episode feels specifically made to mess with your mind. When you think something strange or funny is happening it just doubles down (like the sin count in this episode!). It just exudes early installment weirdness and the writers having a complete trip with the script. Insanity inducing...
Absolutely! Especially since I watched this episode right after Mr. Pigeon, (which is a really GREAT episode.) It was maddening how awful this one was. XD I swear I don't remember the writing ever being this bad . . . but I guess I was a lot younger when I watched it the first time, hahaha.

I like Chloe, but I hate how her redemption arc was ruined by Astruc (Idk how to spell his last name) and then later in season 5 her DAD gets a redemption arc started! WHAT THE FUCK THOMAS!? Why does he hate Chloe so much? Yes she's bratty and snobby but that's because of her dad spoiling her and not being an actual parent like she needed! She has goodness inside her we saw it in her redemption arc! Sorry for my rant but I had to get that off my chest.
Semi-unpopular opinion here: I don't like Chloe and never saw a redemption arc for her. But maybe I'll change my mind once I rewatch all the episodes and analyze them! In the meantime, I'm sorry about that. Although I may not agree with you, I totally understand how you feel! This sort of thing is why we have fanfiction, hehehe.

I had to rewatch it when it occurred to me that at this point in time that Hawkmoth might’ve not known exactly what the jewelry of the LB & CN miraculous were, but the images of them flash on the screen like normal when HM is having his normal evil monologue while talking to the villain. Plus, there’s no *chance* he doesn’t know, he has the grimoire!
Yeah, I had the same thought! He really has no excuse . . . except that the writers simply forgot to establish the rules of the universe before airing the show.

I'll put it this way: if my best friend disappeared every time Batman showed up, I would begin to suspect that they are Batman, even if I can't tell who Batman is under the mask. Quantum masking making it impossible to recognize someone doesn't remove common sense. Also, magic (and thus quantum masking) doesn't work on technology, which includes cameras. (For example, kwamis don't show up on video feeds or in pictures due to their magical nature.) Therefore, there would be plenty of pictures and videos of the superheroes which don't have the quantum masking effect, making it easy to identify them based on their physical features.

Also even if the quantum masking doesn't affect cameras you're still looking at the pictures with you're human eyes aren't you??

I’m guessing that Ladybug didn’t go to fight Lady Wifi with Cat Noir was because she would have de transformed right back into Marinette. Since they can’t know there identities and all of that.
She could've left with him and had Cat Noir distract Lady Wifi while she hid in a different room to de-stransform. Or she could've stayed in the kitchen and covered the camera as she de-transformed. And even with their plan, her transformation lasted through the rest of the fight, and if she had went with Cat Noir, the fight most likely would've finished sooner. There was absolutely no reason for there to be a ticking clock with Ladybug's de-transformation. and no reason for her to stay behind.

@@officialmiraculoussins 1) Marinette always disappears for random reasons and his clumsy. She doesn’t just ‘disappear’ and re appear as Ladybug. 2) Of course if you have common sense you can clearly understand that in a state of panic from the firsts akumatisation, even if not shown, people are running and hiding for their life not knowing how the lucky charm works. 3) You totally misunderstood how quantum masking works, basically a human, will never ever be able to recognize a miraculous holder from his/her superhero form. The quantum masking effect still APPLIES if you look at a photo of a superhero. There’s only really 2 ways found in mlb to bypass this. First, an Ai generated robot will NOT be affected by this quantum mask and therefor, if asked, can dind who the superhero is by his/her physical traits. It can almost never happen since the only Ai developed enough to be capable of analyzing a whole city population’s face should have extraordinary data base of a whole population and analyze it. Something Gabriel does NOT have. Second, is to use a picture of a superhero, and cut out the head of the picture (using people’s head to fill in the blank). It was discovered by alya. A proof of this method working is when marinette and adrien were chosen for a ladybug and catnoir photoshoot. If they did put their masks on, people would’ve found out. Anyway u prob gonna flop ur channel. I hope so anywyas
Honestly, she doesn't do that very often if it's not Ladybug stuff. Maybe that's just because that's what the show focuses on, but I can't remember her disappearing for any other reason. Perhaps there's some instances I'm missing?

Like . . . Cinderella type glamour? I could see that, but with all the other evidence, it's difficult to imagine that it would make that much of a difference. Glamour is a better word for it than "quantum masking" though. 😂
@@officialmiraculoussins I honestly never heard of Quantum Masking before this video. While I do like the idea, it doesn't excuse how stupid some of the characters can be. I honestly would have agreed with the Quantum Masking, but then they revealed Cat Noire can somehow impersonate Adrian. I've never really liked when a fanbase tries to cover the flaws instead of acknowledging them. You can still enjoy a series despite its flaws, Sharknado is a perfect example of that.

For some reason, I don’t like Alya anymore. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t trust her own best friend and she never said sorry to Marinette when she proved that Lila was a liar.
Oh yeah, lots of people feel that way, myself included. She was never really that much of a good friend and she only went downhill the longer the show went on.
Imagine how much different things would be in the show if Ladybug and Cat Noir allowed to reveal themselves to on day one. A lot of the episodes like Cat Blanc would avoided most likely. Also Marinette wouldn’t give the Snake Miraculous to Adrien because she would already know he’s Cat Noir and just give it to Luka.
And she never would've given it to you-know-who in Season 5 . . . Honestly, so many problems would've been avoided XD

Then after the battle he accidentally loses the dog which somehow ends up in the hands of Felix. Felix then uses the powers of the dog miraculous to get the Miracle Box and gives the miraculous to Shadowmoth in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous. Sort of like in canon.

I actually think she probably would've, and a lot earlier too. Rena Furtive helped them prevent Hawk Moth from following them and seeing them detransform, so it's likely Mari would've asked her to do that anyway. And if Cat Noir and Ladybug had revealed themselves earlier, Mari wouldn't have been so obsessed with keeping her identity a secret and probably would've had an easier time telling her best friend.

Fr. Why cant anyone use their brains? If the characters all had a brain, Adrien/Chat Noir would easily figure out that Marinette is ladybug bc of same eye color, hair color, hair style, and voice.
According to the Miraculous World: New York Special it’s because of this thing called quantum masking. Though they could possibly find out if given enough hints.

I would’ve added ALL of the sins for the “Uhh because it’s magic?” Line alone…seriously, I already reviewed this episode on my channel, and to this day I consider this the worst episode of season 1. It’s so much of an obnoxious tease riddled with stupidity, and revisiting it has made me realize how empty the episode is. Like…there’s barely any music in some parts and some of the action is just lackluster. I won’t say it’s the worst of the series (later seasons would give us much worse episodes like frightningale, stormy weather 2, simpleman, and plenty more), but it’s still an “arch-nemesis” episode of mine.
Honestly, yeah! I was surprised at just how much I hated this episode when I rewatched it, especially with just how many times Lady Wifi returned . . . there's pretty much no redeemable qualities to this episode, honestly.
@@officialmiraculoussins I’d say the only redeemable quality is the villain and her design, and the concept itself. It’s just the execution itself that gave me the biggest migraine. And the only other personal upside I could give it is that it gave me enough motivation to commit to my oc, someone trying to reveal their identities and being the only one who knows, but no one believes him and he’s humiliated in front of everyone.
Also, I do my own miraculous content, including a review of this episode (which is pretty old and not the best) where I shred it to pieces, and my hatred for it has kind of become a bit of a running gag.

Marinette has "shoulder-length BLACK hair with blue reflections" (Miraculous Ladybug Wiki) Her hair is BLACK and only LOOKS blue (in certain lights) due to her anime roots. (Traditionally, anime characters with black hair have blue highlights.) +1 sin for you!

2:19 tbh i feel like looking in someone's locker is a big deal especially since the antics choler and Lyla get up to Marinette's locker to get her in trouble or what not.
I think taking a picture of someone's locker and putting something inside of it like Lila did are two very different things. However, I do agree. If someone took a picture of my locker, I'd be really weirded out. But it's also a school setting, so you can't really expect privacy, and Chloe's reaction was WAY over the top.

True, but the contents of the microwave wouldn't suddenly make it able to disrupt Lady Wifi's powers. Another commenter has told me that microwaves can disrupt wifi signals, so I guess that was what they were going for, but the show never made that clear, thus my confusion. Besides, that microwave explodes, and I'm pretty certain that's not how microwaves work.

Spoiler alert, and one of the movies it reveals that the miraculous confuse human lines, so you don’t see what we see all they see is ladybug different from Marinette and cat noir different from Adrian they don’t see that ladybug looks like Marinette and Adrian looks like cat noir. I'll put it this way: if my best friend disappeared every time Batman showed up, I would begin to suspect that they are Batman, even if I can't tell who Batman is under the mask. Quantum masking making it impossible to recognize someone doesn't remove common sense. Also, magic (and thus quantum masking) doesn't work on technology, which includes cameras. (For example, kwamis don't show up on video feeds or in pictures due to their magical nature.) Therefore, there would be plenty of pictures and videos of the superheroes which don't have the quantum masking effect, making it easy to identify them based on their physical features.

I can see the logic, but then that would mean that the spell of quantum masking was stored in and transferred through the technology and into the person viewing the photo, which doesn't make any sense. A good example of why this doesn't work is that you can't see kwamis in photos, but you can see them with the naked eye. If what you're saying is true, then people looking at the photos should still see the kwamis, but they don't, because magic cannot be stored and transferred through technology. I hope that made sense. XD
