The arrogance of English people is unbelievable 🙄 Y'all really think that a defender, who played world-class all his career in every competition including CL and tournaments for Brazil can't be good in the English farmers league? He's literally the best defender there after VVD.
The whole "pHySiCaLitY aNd SpEeD" argument EPL fanboys bring up all the time is like Americans talking about having freedom.

Yeah, coz laporte took a dive, he isn't as good as he used to be that's why psg let him go for free, plus see his age, teams will hit Chelsea on counter-attack and he isn't very fast
@@anubhav111196 They let him go because he wasn't keen on taking a pay cut. Chelsea with their rich russian sugar daddy can splash money at him how they want, so obviously he'll go there. In fact, it rather speaks for him that they ran down his contract and didn't sell him in the previous year, as his performances are much more valuable than the 10m (?) they would've gotten for him.
Oh, and Mertesacker wasn't fast either but back in his days was still one of the best defenders in the English farmers league.

Haha, did you see the struggles mertesacker had in the latter part of his career at Arsenal, the thing is if Silva was alongside some world class CB,I would say it's a perfect fit, but he is the only one that has some experience in the CB area, so that's a problem, and as far as I have heard Silva has taken a pay cut to join Chelsea, he's getting 104k/week, and the sporting director wasn't very keen on him, don't know whether the issue had to do mainly with his salary or not, maybe you are right, and remember, when pepe was going to be a star in premier league coz he scored 22 goals in Ligue 1, well he is struggling to get game time now, we all know which is a farmers league, a league where same team has won 7 of the last 8 titles, since European Cup was rebranded to Champions league, Marseille is the only french team to win the cl and that was 27 years ago, and the best that psg has been managed despite spending 200 million and 175 million on 2 players is a solitary ucl final spot, so think before you call premier league a farmers league
Also, he isn't as comfortable playing left center back in a back 4 than right center back, especially on the ball where it's way more easier to press him as Chelsea fans have seen already, I hope he plays a much as possible right center back
(and for fake experts denying that, yes it makes a huge difference playing one side or the other)

He probably plays on the right for Chelsea with Zouma. But the rest of our cbs can't play on the left

Thanks so much for this! My favorite player of all time!! Thiago has been world class the majority of his career and I had no doubt he would have no problems in the Prem. An incredibly smart player like him doesn't need speed and power to be effective. He just outsmarts opposing attackers. Brilliant player an absolute LEGEND
Today he was so so good. And im glad for the first time in a real while chelsea’s build up play looked dangerous and we looked like we could really hurt if you press us from the get go. There was more calmness in passing. This is good. I want to see this more

I dislike when people say defenders have to be tall for aerial duels. I mean it does help, but people really discredit positioning, timing of jumping, and determination. Jules Kounde is another defender, he is only 5'10 but he is actually very good in the air, especially for his height

Once he has time to settle in he will show his best next to Zouma. Plus with Chillwell and Mendy our defence is reborn. not more error prone kepa and alonso. azpi can fill in for Reece if needed but thiago can teach Reece well too.

He definately has 2 years left in him until WC 2022 he said wants to be in. But i would keep him this season would be enough help us alot then Upamecano comes year after to replace him after we pay his 45 million euroes relause clause. #KTBFFH #COYB
