I have one and I love it. The 3 and S is night and day difference. I tried to convinced myself to buy the 3 or y but the ride and quality is not the same.

I bought a brand new model three about four months ago and I thought it was the most amazing thing ever until I had some technical issues and I had to. I got a loaner car from the dealership. when I got there the guy was like I’m gonna give you a model S it was a 2023 and this car has ruined me. I can’t get it out of my mind and now I’m trying to figure out how quickly I can save up money to justify the cost for a model S 2022 or above. I totally sound pretentious but the model 3 feels clunky compared to the S and it’s hard to let it go

If some car testers are right, then Tesla is not that good at sound insulation, at least when it comes to Tesla three

Drove the 3, Y, and S. After driving the S it was an easy decision for me. Got a white 2023 S and it does have some panel gap issues but I’m really happy with the car. The standard model S may only show 0-60 in 3.1 but I can assure you it’s much faster than the Model 3 Performance after 50 mph. The S gets its legs around 50mph and will easily pull away from a Model 3 Performance in my experiences so far.

got the same one :) awesome car I love it. Though I do find the glass panoramic roof inconvenient in the summer. It does get more hot and takes more time to cool off when you start driving it

Yeah, Tesla pretty much neutered the LR on the power down low and you can easily tell because like you said after 50mph or so power builds up so well it’s like it was held back.

I have a 3p and I had to get the windshield change yesterday. They have me an S as a loaner and while I love the feel of the car and the look, my 3p is definitely faster, and handles better. The S felt slow, which I know is crazy to say because it is not a slow car, but the 3p is distinctly faster.

@@realtrax1586I have no idea what you experienced but the MS LR after 50 mph will DESTROY any model year Model 3P. Those of us that know, know. The MS LR easily does 10.7 @129mph down the 1/4 mile. The M3P can’t even break 120mph down the quarter mile and I have PLENTY of proof to back up my statement. Next time put the MS LR in insane mode instead of sport or chill. 😂😂😂😂

My money is on the Model S, no contest. I've driven two Plaids and a long range Model S and only one of those cars had a minor build issue which was the gap in the hatch but it was easily fixed by rotating the rubber aligned just above the tail light on the inside of the hatch. All Model S cars don't have build quality issues so I can't use that as an excuse for not buying one. It's really on a case by case basis. I've been in three and all three were pretty much fine except for the one alignment issue which was fixed.

It seems almost all reviewers rave about the Model S 0 to 60 mph time, I get it, as the 3.1 seconds is the figure that is hyped by Tesla is special. But the really impressive acceleration achievement is the acceleration from 60 mph to well beyond 100 mph, where most other EV’s fall flat on their rate of acceleration capabilities, yet Tesla has managed to control system cooling well enough to allow for a steep acceleration curve well onto triple digit speeds. I know triple digit speeds are not realistic in most of today’s modern traffic situations, however, knowing that you have this amazing ability to safely complete passing maneuvers on two lane roads at highway speeds is very reassuring.

We have a 2023 model s that we bought to replace a 2020 x and it's great, although I wouldn't recommend the 21 inch rims, we quickly downgraded back to the 19s and ride, noise, low speed skipping was much improved etc

  • @drmichaellum

One of the biggest issues that deterred me from getting the yoke is the ease with which it wears out. I can tell that your bottom left side of the yoke is already frayed.

Current price for the long range Model S is now $74,990 and my Plaid was $89,990 with round steering wheel, 19 inch wheels, black interior, and Ultra Red paint. The interior is an upgrade from my 2014 P85DL. The things I don't like are the removal of the stocks and the loss of free supercharging. However it cost almost $30,000 less and has better performance.

Here in Sweden the "none-Tesla" charging network is a joke... During vacation times and holidays there are long cues and very often half of the chargers are broken. So if I'm getting an EV it will be a S or X next time...

I can't bother to even look at another EV other than a Tesla because of the charging experience. I have a 3 and can drive anywhere and feel confident about my ability to access charging. My sister with her bmw I4 has had a daunting experience. This is a non-starter for me.

Serious dude, instead of bitching about the partially obstructed icon on the vehicles screen, a simple click on one of the yokes buttons will activate the speech command which would then allow you to adjust what ever function that you may need to adjust.
