The Ram Mount Quick Grip is MILES better than the Ram Mount X Grip. Far more secure and much cleaner looking. Ease of getting phone in and out is a quick one handed move. Best phone mount I’ve used or seen by far.
Yeh that looks to address the main things that I disliked about the RAM mount, although it still looks kind of unsightly when the phone isn't mounted to it- although then you don't need a special case so trade offs...
@@eastcoastish Yeah, it looks like a claw when empty. It looks great with phone mounted though. The spring loaded action on one end of it makes it extremely fast and easy to put phone in and out. It’s just a very well designed mount. The only time I ever run a phone though is when using aRacer app to check gauges….and I only do that every now and then. The phone mount attaches to the a Ram Ball clamped on my handle bars….. which I also use for a GoPro. I love the whole Ram system and all the different stuff they have.

Did you have to make any modifications to install the fork stem pro on the zx6r. I have a 2019 636 and wasn’t able to install the regular fork stem mount. After watching your video i seen that you did what others have done by adding a ram mount ball adapter to fit it. With the fork mount pro is that still required or can i install the fork mount pro by itself successfully
I had the ram mount but took it off to install the QL mount. I think my steering stem nut is slightly different since it came with the ohlins steering damper.
@@eastcoastish I meant wireless charging at home with that case + clip on. Will it still charge with all that on, or does one need to remove the case whenever you charge wirelessly at home?

QL with the Q charger and dampener, the damper make phone stick out so I can't tuck in, will have to remove it for track days
Yeh, I have the damper that I can pop on for longer rides, otherwise I don't like how big it makes the mount and how much higher it puts the phone.

Have you had any issues with camera focus systems stuffing up with quadlocks
If I’m going on a longer ride, I add in their damping module, so far no camera issues.

What happens to the wireless charging with this mount? Are you able to charge wirelessly with the hardware on the phone?
You can add the wireless charging or vibration dampning or other accessories, I just don't have it on this setup.
