I was in Bristol last night and went through Weston-super-Mare on the way back! You were mentioned but I reckoned you and Neil MacKinnon were probably watching Corrie and having your tea. The Christmas lights are mostly up now and we went to St Nicholas Market. Great place for food. I had a delicious Portugese fish stew which was fish, potato, tomatoes and herbs. Bristol is chokka with history in the centre. It's a bit political but I don't reckon we should erase bad, or shameful history. It should stay as a reminder. Look how many people do not observe the 2 minute silence. They think it is nothing to do with them. Just my ha'porth.(who remembers ha'pennies)
I definitely remember ha'pennies, remember buying sweets that cost a ha'penny 🤣 I think you're probably right, being tucked up in my pj's but watching RUclips instead of corrie 🤣🤣 I live St nicholas' Market, the chilli sauce shop is my favourite 🥵 always worries me when I'm mentioned in conversation because it's not normally for good reasons 🤣🤣
I also remember ha'pennies and sixpence's and thrupenny bits. Not me watching Corrie, I'm a RUclips fanatic. If I was not having my dinner I would have been glued to the computer. The only thing worse than being talked about.... is NOT being talked about (Oscar Wilde).
That's one thing that bristol does absolutely right, motorcycle have access to all the bus lanes which makes things so easy as they are everywhere 🤣🤣 Thanks TAYM 👍
it's definitely still got a westcountry vibe as a city. bit overfilled with lefties and wokers, but a great city. Visit now before it all goes to ratshit 😬
my late auntie Peggy took me on the SS Great Britain, many years ago - She lived opposite the Downs. I remember going over the flyover too. I once went parasailing too on the downs - many memories of Bristol.
I'm a big fan of Bristol. I was there back in the summer, having taken a bus from Clevedon just for the hell of it 😂 It puts places like Swansea to shame, especially the madness that is The Kingsway. The planners haven't got a clue. Good to see some nighttime riding. It makes for an interesting perspective. Thanks for posting 👍
Always a pleasure Gary thank you, you can't knock the kingsway, a dance in Ritz, some fried chicken, a massive punch up and a night in the cells, what swansea is all about 🤣🤣🤣
A quiet night, then 😂 Ah yes, those were the days: Wind Street, Icon, Ritzy, Escape, followed by a curry at the Anarkali and a walk home through Clyne Woods to Gowerton 😅 I can barely put my pants on these days 😂😂
For the first six months of my working life I commuted by motorbike to work, from Nailsea to the top of St Michaels Hill where I worked at the (old) Children's Hospital. Then, for the next six years I was a traveling computer engineer based in an office (now gone) at the end of Kings Street, a short walk from the Old Vic. Bits of Bristol have changed massively in that time, other parts are much the same. Nice place.... for a city.
@@wsmv I moved to the area at the age of 15 from North East London. Bristol was amazing by comparison, I mean, a few minutes from the centre of the city and you are out in open countryside.... I was VERY happy to move here.
I'm a big fan of Bristol's, although never been as far south as Bristol Phil mate! 😜👍 Your footage at night looks fine & good to see you ain't scared of the dark! 😬👍
Hi please take us though in the day time for the ones of us that haven't seen the great Historical places in Bristol . If your are though next time . If you happen to be going that way . Thank you for sharing your time in Bristol. Rolley
Bristol is great, no1 son used to have an apartment on Baltic Wharf and me and the Mrs used to go stay up there when they went on holiday. Handy as we have friends in ristol with bikes too. There was, sadly, quite a bit of motorcycle theft in the area back in the day. Way nicer city than London.
Well that was different, we don't get to see night riding very often. l have been to Bristol many years ago and went on the SS Great Britain, fascinating ship
If it wasn't 7 hours away, I would go to Virginia and Tennessee border town called Bristol. One side of the street is Tennessee and the other side is virginia. It also has a big Nascar following for car racing. Anyways, thanks for the midnight stroll through the town.
I've only been to Bristol twice, Weston, and I remember the traffic situation being horrendous and badly thought out. It doesn't look like it's changed. The emissions charges are just a money making exercise for some councils like Genghis Khan's London. They do not reduce emissions but charge you for emitting them. I think the SS Great Britain was the first ship to be propelled by a screw/propellor.
"Dangerous filtering"??? Who's this imposter you talk about? 🤔 You'll have to do this again when the Christmas lights are on. I'm not sure I'll do a London one this year...
I've never ridden through Bristol. Thanks for a glimse of the area.
Sorry it was a very dark glimpse, I will need to ride through in the day because there is quite a bit to see 👍

Brilliant 😁 lovely ride through one of our great cities 😁 love the fact you can use the bus lanes, wish it was the same everywhere 😁

Although I’m not a lover of cities, I quite fancy a look around Bristol. There must be a gateway somewhere. Thanks Weston 🙂

It's a top city for a break and a good base to explore the cotswolds , Somerset and Wales.
Thanks SB73

Parasailing off the downs, sounds awesome mate, Bristol has a lot to offer, but not necessarily on a bike because the traffic is horrendous 😔

I'm not afraid of the dark, its what hides in it that worries me, especially in Bristol 🤣🤣
I've not been into Bristol intentionally since I was a spotty yoof, watched some powerboat racing in the harbour with my dad 🙂
And so the maritime interest began ? 😁👍
@@wsmv I think I've been around boats and the water as far back as I can remember 🙂👍 have always loved the sea 🌊

Will do buddy, the next dry weekend 😎👍
Great stuff m8. My uncle lives in Bristol so a NZ connection to the video for me
Awesome buddy, I'll do one in daylight next so you can see more 😎👍
I live very close to Bristol Tennessee, which is split in half with Bristol Virginia!
It's weird how a city is split between 2 states 🤔

We had a huge “shift” here with a ton of monuments being removed due to the honored folks being slave owners back in the day….
