This is absolutely insane!...removing the armature from inside the model is like taking off your underwear in one piece without removing your pants! You are a wizard, Sir! It is very likely the most amazing clay sculpture I have ever seen! My most sincere congratulations... AND THE HORSE LOOKS UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!
It is an obligation if you want to bake it, indeed it explode during the firing. If you want to see more spectacular removing of armature see this than! ruclips.net/video/YezLYN-Byao/видео.html. But Philippe is one of best sculptor he works also stone, and other materials, a true master. cheers
Absolutely amazing work... brilliant skill... and so full of meaning and significance (as with all great art). A powerful symbol of strength subjected to servitude and oppression. Very moving. Would be dramatic next to a similarly inspired sculpture of a horse running free. This sculpture conveys so much, not just the skill of the artist but a deep insight.
Thank you ❤️ Beautiful and inspirational! A masterful demo!❤️🧐 May I ask what clay you prefer? It appears you hollow it out to be kiln fired? Genius!❤️
It was so amazing to see all the construction work to achieve this delicate figure. How the different stages of support structures give the clay just enough time to set properly. So apart from the of course brilliant artwork, I just was so amazed about the techniques.
I never knew how sculptures are created. Thank You so much for this demonstration. I was startled when you took the underside off to make adjustments but now I see why it was necessary. Beautiful work!
I can feel the emotions of the horse through this sculpture. This artist really knows the emotional life of horses, in addition to being a master sculptor.
The confidence with which you sliced away segments to hollow it out for firing was really something. I'm amazed the legs (and a dowel) were able to hold the weight of the sculpture. Did you wait any amount of time for the legs to stiffen up a bit before removing the supporting armature or did you just go in non-stop whole hog? Thanks.
Beautiful and stunning. A few, very tiny suggestions though - A draft horse generally has a docked tail to keep hair from getting tangled in the hitch. A draft horse pulling as much weight as your suggesting with this posture will be pulling with chains, not leather. The hock on that one rear leg is a little off and should be higher.
@@LadyKurai If I didn't appreciate the craft, I would not have commented with constructive criticism and would have used negative language such as what you've just done in addressing me.
@@rizegold163 You're entitled to your opinion. When I make something out of nothing, my goal is to make it the best that I possibly can. If that means putting aside my ego for the sake of the piece, then so be it.
It makes me wonder what I could be capable of with enough training (I'm mostly a self-taught sculptor). I'm also fascinated by this clay: fine enough for minuscule details, leaves no residue on your hands while forming, yet dense/firm enough to hold the weight of the horse's body at the leather dry stage. I have yet to see any pieces which have been fired in it.
It was very interesting to see how you used rope for the legs! I am making things in cake and the structures are so time-consuming to make and expensive to buy! It was cool to see the inners.

Thanks, very quint of you.
Finally! A clay modeler who uses fitting music for the model! Your great in more ways than one!
I would never in a million years thought to cut it open and thin it out and remove the armature. And a beautiful sculpture. Wow!

I liked how you showed how you hollowed out the horse, other sculptors videos leave that out too often and it’s important for drying correctly.
Love watching Phillipe sculpt. Especially laying down the planes of the form.

Wow! You know it's art when you feel sorry for the horse.

So nice to watch, gorgeous sculpture, you can feel the strength of the horse pulling through the mud! Love it.
I've never seen anyone hollow out a clay sculpture like that. Very interesting. Thanks for showing your technique.
Really appreciate that you show the hollowing out process and removal of the armature. That tends to get skipped in these videos. Very informative.
I have not thought to use twine that's brilliant! Thank you! Beautiful sculpture!
As an artist of 2D, I am SERIOUSLY impressed!! It looks AMAZING!!!
Just love this. Beautiful !
Great job! A living sculpture!
Wow, there is so much movement in that sculpture
Beautiful, as usual. Thank you for showing how to remove the armature and to hollow it out.
Excellent! I didn't realise want goes into making a sculpture like this. Thank you for sharing.
This guy knows a lot more about life than just art!
Thanks for the video!
this is child play for you, I got goosebumps when you cut open that horse, but you have so much precision, you are master of clay.
Welcome back!
So glad that you channel is alive again!
The pose and musculature and incredible, you can almost feel the strain. Absolutely incredible piece of art.
Love this video. The horse,The music. Very enjoyable!
The bit where the supporting frame was removed made me feel squeamish, which probably tells you how great this sculpture was!
I farmed with draft horses, and know every muscle , angle, and weight balance on the draft horse. This is wonderful.
Full of life motion and strength, a marvelous creation, enjoyed watching, true craftsmanship.
Hey you’re back! Your videos inspired me to become a sculptor.
Magnifique, je suis autodidacte et vous m'avez beaucoup aidé pour la construction d'un taureau. bravo c'est magnifique ce que vous faites.
Great I am also making a horse sculpture today that is why I watched this.this helped me a lot.thanks and congratulations for more success!!

I waited one day. It was enough since the legs are thin and dry relatively fast.
So beautiful yet powerful ❤️

Gayle Klein I get you are trying to help but the amount of work he put into this, I just feel like your giving him to much of a hard time.
