I came across this older video of yours and I feel like you are the true OG journaler content creator! These ideas are still so relevant 6 years later!❣️✨

I like a lot of dangling charms. I love the sound. I have found a lot of charms in the jewelry section of thrift stores. I have taken apart earrings and necklaces and added jump rings and lobster clips. You can find some inexpensive but nice pieces. I turned a small set of simple dangling earrings that I added to the top to lay on the spine. Recently I purchased another set of earrings that I will make into a double sided bookmark for my passport size. A cheap methods for adding unique pieces.

Oooh, what a great idea, Susan! I don't know why I hadn't thought of finding charms at the thrift stores! Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks Michelle :) I keep mine rather simple; plan to add some small wooden beads much like the charms on your camel TN

Was your camel passport matte at first? I've heard they get shiny over time. Or was it always a smooth sort of leather? I'm hoping that with time, mine will look less like suede and more like yours. Love your channel! Thanks!

I got my hands on my first midori travelers notebook (in the regular size, Camel) just a few days ago and I'm loving it, trying new setups and finding what works for me, I'm getting so much inspiration from your channel and Instagram and so many other IG accounts, the inspiration is endless. This community is so wonderful. My IG is bujobylinnea, and there I share my bullet journal and now of course my Travelers notebook to 😁

mine is a black a5 size with red elastic bands, and since I go for a more gothy/spooky vibe, I make my own charms with halloween coins, or bat charms, coffins, skeletons... I change those form time to time. And the covers of the inserts are always black or grayscale, or in the red range of tones (wine, scarlet, garnet, etc)
It's not the official midori tho, their options were too mainstream for me, and for the price I was going to pay, so I customized it more :3

Hey Michelle - another great video - thanks! I saw your field notes Arizona notebook in the background - I just got a set of three Black Ice field notes and I love them. Are the 'practical applications' on the back cover hilarious? Mine are - thanks again - love your channel!

Hi Daniel! Yes, those "practical applications" are so funny. Are they different for each state? A few that crack me up: corn dog batter recipes, crow scaring plans, garden gossip...I do enjoy the state fun facts on the back, though. ;)

Apparently the back cover is different for each book type - love it! The Black Ice book applications include: Curling rosters, Notable Thundersnows, Yeti spottings, Shackleton caches, Crampons to Sharpen - etc. I was cracking up at my desk - co-workers were all - what's up and I just shook my head.

Love the clip of the press! The "charm dents" can be eliminated with a small, thin piece of leather. Check it out facebook.com/tntips (for those who would like to avoid denting their TN). I like the thoughtfulness you put into each customization. :) I love this video! :D

Lots of great ideas! My style is quite plain with the midori cover itself, just have a diy charm I made out of clay and a stamp! But I have lots of fun making my own inserts: instagram.com/p/BReAVfqAIPd/
I love notebooks and was sooooo happy when I found there is a huge community out there also obsessed with them! ^^
