Wynton is everything that is great and true about American and Jazz history. He represents the artist at it's highest leve, and the culture and community he speaks of is the part of America which is original, beautiful and with soul. Too bad so many greedy people over there show us the ugly sides. Thank you Wynton.
Very inspiring. It's great to see that he's still wanting to invest into the future music for generations. I love how he answered the question in regards to making Jazz 'popular' again and how he referred to the difficulty of making something more enticing then 'pornography' which in essence is what a lot of 'pop' music is nowadays and that the focus should be on making the best music possible.

Great interview. Saw Wynton in Detroit 40 years ago playing with Art Blakey. I told him he as going places and look now what all he's done. He was just a kid with a big horn back then. Is Ali Jackson the son of Ali Jackson the bassist? Anyone know?
The new innovation in jazz music will be the use of the thirteenth note. Just my own crazy thought.
The better question is what can the new generation do to make a new Giant Steps, Kind of Blue, etcetera what can we do to get the feeling back

If I could afford it I would pay Wynton to not play. Real jazz comes from the heart, big up to Barry Harris and Kenny Barron. Every note counts.
