There are 135 floors in the tower. Season 1 covered Floor 1 & 2. This is the 20th Floor, and its a 6 year timeskip from S1 (Climbing the tower takes a lifetime). Bam hasnt forgotten anything, its just that he got seperated from the main group 6 years ago and hes been climbing alone since
Climbing on Tower is separated by ranks starting threw F to A (basicly ranks show how many floors regular climbed. Higher rank = regular become stronger and closer to the point when he could became Ranker)
A 6-year time skip occurred. Don't worry about the confusion, it's normal, as the episodes go on there will be more explanations about Bam and also about Bam's old friends

a correction, there are 135 confirmed floors, no one knows exactly how many floors there are in the tower in total.
There is way more than 135 floors but Jahad locked the way higher and split the key to the 13month series and the rings

We literally saw Bam with long hair at end of season 1, so how you don‘t know it‘s him is beyond me xD
