Thank you very much Graham!! I learn so much from you. I think your videos are very easy to follow and get us right down to the information we need to do as much as we can with our cameras. I paused and went right to Amazon to order a Raynox Macro lens before this video was even over. I love the presentation and your style and demeanor makes us all feel right at home.
Thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge with us. Many people aren't big fans of the macro zoom, but I find it very useful. However, there is a problem: my previous camera, a Panasonic TZ70, focused on the subject right away. But when I was trying to take a picture of a small spider with my new FZ300 (set to aperture priority or shutter priority), it kept focusing on the background rather than on the spider at the center of the frame. How can I fix that?
Graham, this was an excellent tutorial and I have proven to myself its effectiveness with my Lumix FZ300 and Raynox 150. Your videos are clearly some of the finest and I applaud you. Your persona, technical knowledge and dress are first class. Thank you for your efforts! Paul Kiefner
Hello I have a lumix dmc fz 70 Its a bridge camera Its works perfectly but if I flip it vertically camera start to vibrate a lot and not focusing properly but horizantally it work perfect why? Does anyone know if its a problem from camera ?
Hi Graham - how do you set the focal length to infinity on the FZ300? Just recently purchased the FZ300 and your videos are a great help. I'll be purchasing your book from Amazon. Thank you.
To set the focus to infinity you need to switch to manual focus on the back of the camera and the use the side focus wheel to move the focus to infinity
Graham Houghton Hi, thank you for the reply. That's what I tried before reaching out to you. What I don't see as I manually focus, is the infinity symbol that I normally see on my other cameras to know when I have proper focus to infinity. Thanks again.
Just purchased the FZ300. The Macro is confusing. When I press that button I don't get the three options that you do. What setting should the camera be turned to? Does that make a difference?
During video recording you can zoom in/out by using the zoom lever around the shutter button or the side lever - I can't think of anything which would prevent that happening.
Cannot abide snakes as you cannot get any lower and 99 are even worse. I have been with Graham for a long time now and enjoy his videos but they are technical which I am sure Graham would agree and not everyone is familiar with technical terms so videos for beginners would be very welcome and I think Graham knows that and he would keep his audience numbers up too which would be good for him, I am sure he will agree.
Will need to watch that again. I have the Raynox150 lens but you have explained bits I couldn’t figure out. Thank you.

Be sure that you have activate the button to do so. Go to: Menu -> Custom -> Side Button Setting and choose "AF/Focus"
Make sure recording mode is not set to iA - intelligent auto. Macro side button does not function in iA mode.
Love the videos. They have been so informative and helpful. thank you .
thank you for the comment, really appreciated.

Thanks Graham, as always your video has clarified some confusion.....
Can I use these with the Lumix fx70?
I don't think this camera has those modes. I don't have this camera so cannot check for you
I have lost the ability to get the zoom lever to go up to 48. It stops at 24. How can I reset this?
Have you turned off i.Zoom in Rec Set up?

So technical. Most of your videos are not for the beginner.
need to find an understandable video for beginners, in basic English, lol.
Yes - a new series aimed at complete beginners is scheduled
Or how about exercising some gratitude that he's doing this on his own dime and owe you nothing .....ingrate
