I did keep her and in fact I married her. I've also had the GTL since April. We just finished a 2400 mile trip on the bike from Portland OR down the coast to Big Sur CA and through Yosemite. The bike performed flawlessly. In fact it was magical. My wife said it was the best vacation she's ever had.
Last year my girlfriend and I rode my Harley V-ROD muscle on a 3500 mile road trip. She's one tough gal, but when we got home she said to me "baby, I loved this and want touring to be our lifestyle, but before we make another long trip we need a luxury touring bike." I test rode a GW and it was nice but I couldn't fall in love with it. I rode the 1600 GTL and was blown away. It's a phenomenal machine. I ordered mine yesterday.
I had a FJR 1300 ..the heat that came off the engine in the summer was horible HOT..i have a R1200RT now and what a wonderful bike..its like riding a new bike everytime....if i was to look at something bigger i guise it would be one of these...the motor i bet is SMOOTH
I have a used Kawasaki GTR 1400 now. And I think I will change to BMW K 1600 GTL. But the price tag in Malaysia is RM 168k plus! That's the main problem here.
interesting that no one talks about malfunctions on that engine, I have it and I'm sick of it and the parts that are waiting for a couple of weeks when I bought it, everyone was saying that it was a miracle of technology and no one was able to maintain and how expensive everything is, japan is a much better choice with much less expensive maintenance .....
Sounds like you’re just broke. Anyone buying a BMW already know they’re expensive. They come with a 3 year warranty and you can buy a five year warranty in 3 to 5 years I’ll be trading it for a new model . 👍
The Papa Jefe Response Channel motorcycle is under warranty, which should mean if it is not for there to be no parts for the same each manufacturer is obliged to have the parts for 10 years, and not to have parts waiting 2-3m a season, which is why he is not among the more expensive motorcycles right as a brand to entice a customer, all in all a waste of money ..
The Papa Jefe Response Channel for the yearbook i gave 23000s and i will just say money thrown away, for harley i dont know but i'm going back to japanese motorcycles because there are no problems with the delivery of parts and they are much more resistant than bmw, i truly regret buying it ...
this is nice BMW,but come on,you know the advantage of a purpose built enclosed motorcycle,that does everything better,safer,cheaper.,A diesel or gas version could go LA to NY on 40 dollars of fuel,a electric a few dollars.I'm waiting,sooner or later some manufacture will take the leap with a affordable enclosed 2 or 3 wheeled aerodynamic vehicle.Dust off that Simple BMW,how about a affordable version,limited production,I will do your testing I'm a little disabled[trouble moving]or loan me one.

The Upper fairing on the GT reminded me of the first R 100rs. Which is to say I like it.

Yes! Not easy but can be done. It can actually power wheelie from a stop, and of course can be clutched up from a tool.

Fluke. These bikes are normally rock solid. I've had a 2016 and now a 2018.
Six pipes is just for looks it actually only uses the center ones.
Wtf??? 6 cylinders, 1 pipe for each, equals 6 pipes, and they're all functional.
