Class Leaders: Lamborghini Huracan STO & Lotus Emira - HILLSIDE AUTO

Lamborghini's highest performing V10 ever produced: the Huracan STO and Lotus' most refined product ever; the Emira, are undoubtedly top of the food chain within their own categories. With changing times ahead of us in the realm of high performance vehicles, both brands have made significant efforts to please the purists in one last effort to keep the combustion engine alive. Here we had the pleasure of investigating both cars, and have been left questioning. Is this the pinnacle of petrol-powered vehicles? Perhaps so.

I’d have the one that I can enjoy the most on the road- Emira. Unfortunately, as time has moved on, both Lamborghini and Ferrari have moved away from sports cars and now only sell supercars and hypercars. Sure, those cars have radical looks and performance, but at the expense of enjoyment outside of a track. To wit, I’d argue that a Mazda Miata is 120% (or more) of the fun just running to the store, to lunch, or a day at the shore than any supercar. Those that would disagree have not driven one. The joy of driving shouldn’t require crazy speeds. The joy comes from the interaction of the driver with the car.
I bought the Emira- I pick it up tomorrow.
