I want to thank everyone who made this tribute possible of the bill Cosby show especially the Huxtables. No matter what his personal life was about, he was a genius in his field of entertainment. Mr. Cosby brought the black American family from the slums of Harlem to 5th Ave., New York in a very quiet and smooth way. He told the truth on camera that we do have doctors and lawyers in other famous professional people in fields of Industries other than maids, street sweepers , butlers, factory workers or ditch diggers. We are not proud of him because of his personal life but we are proud of his Achievements in acting producing and his contributions to the arts and sciences, education. This,

nothing anyone in this cast could do or say could make me not love this show. I wish so badly I grew up in the 80s/90s because of this show. Such a beautiful cast.
Bill Cosby, he has been through enough, the loss of his son and now his daughter. I respect the man behind the comedy and the comedy behind the man. He is a great comedian. He is a man that I can admire a lot. He proved in America that there are still two parent black households.
Am I the only one that cried, the cosby show was my life, omg so sad that its done but all we can do is keep the memories that we took with us of this truly magnificent show.
The show was genius. It was an appointment in my house every Friday evening when it first launched in the UK, then it moved to Sunday evenings. It was - and still is - a "feel good" show and an institution that changed television family viewing. Made you proud to be black, made you feel inclusive and made you believe anything is possible. Regardless of Mr Cosby's behaviour, Healthcliffe Huxtable was a wholesome, kind father with balanced views. Will cherish this show for years to come.
Oh when Denise and her friends went to see The Fray and got their tickets stolen from them,it showed the vunerability ofthe children and their naiveness .
There was no other show like The Cosby show I respect every actor on that show and I respect Bill Cosby to the highest no matter what no other person says about him or any court I respect him to the highest
When I'm having a "I can't handle being a parent" moment, I always think of the day my girls, after watching a Cosby Show marathon both said to me "Mommy you're a Cuban version of Claire Huxtable. Especially when your mad". That totally made my day since I always Loved and Admired her.
It’s 2022 and I’m still watching the Cosby Show. Just like I still watch Andy Griffith and Little House on the Prairie. I miss the days when wholesome entertainment existed. I can’t stand watching most modern shows for more than a few minutes... especially knowing the corrupt forces behind them. Even in spite of the fact Cosby did terrible things and Michael Landon was always drunk on set and Griffith had his issues, I still love their shows because when I watch them I’m not watching the actors but the wholesome, upstanding characters they’re portraying.
I have learned that Andy Griffith got his start under a left/communist film guy named Elia Kazan in the 30's. The same guy who directed "East of Eden" with James Dean. I thought something was funny there when he pushed obamacare.
@Angel Johnson maybe people want to go home and not have to think about all of those terrible things. So what if the show is light hearted. Doesnt make it worse than a show that deals with those things. Your comment is asinine.
@Angel Johnson well seeing as how they took place in totally different types of neighborhoods I would imagine they wouldn't talk about the same things.
"After ALL the money we spent sending you to Princeton! Sondra, you owe us 79 thousand, 648 dollars and 22 cents! And I want my money NOW!!!!!!!!!!" LMAO!!!! #EPIC
Me too. I grew up watching Fat Albert and the Cosby show, and my parents had no problem with us kids watching his clean and funny comedy acts. If you notice, there are no good values like that on TV anymore, (and I don't buy that trash anymore). That man propagated good values in all of our homes for a decade,---and that is why he was attacked. In the minds of evil communism destroying our good civil values, Cosby was "Too Good", and that is what was destroyed in the minds of people younger than us who did not see and admire his shows. That is why I can't find complete shows on YT. It was pure evil, what was done to him IMO, and the GOOD is still standing today. I would love to interview that great man. Doug in Michigan.
@@bahma810 Both comedy. One Wildean-witty, the other with a lead actor who slurred and disfigured by gross sentimentality. Btw do you MEAN "genre" or class, as in 'FT not nearly as good"? If the latter, I beg to differ.
gary morgan Genre meaning one is satire/slapstick. The other is sitcom., family orientated. FT is 100% comedy whereas the other is a potpourri of humour, warmth (yes, some of us like it) and Life’s lessons.
This was the first show with Black people that didn't show us as poor and desperate, but made us human with the right to have everything we wanted as our reality, with so much love, creativity, and laughter that placed it over the top! I still love this show because it's a beautiful part of our history.💞💜💞
I beg to differ. The Jeffersons were a prelude to the Cosby show. George Jefferson is one of the most memorable characters from that era of television.
This is the truth, mom made you from birth, but I know she won't kill you; some did, back in the days. Now they're either in jail or dead from ol' age or time.
The Cosby Show touched so many people in so many ways and all of it was positive, loving, caring, sharing, understanding and much more. There is no family show from the past, present or possibly the future that will match the Cosby Show. The Cosby Show saved NBC and made them a lot of money. The cast as well as the behind the camera people should have won numerous awards
I didn’t grow up in the 80s but when it was on reruns in the 2000s I was very interested in this show and I was hooked! I believe the first episode I watched was when Vanessa got drunk !!! 😂😂😂😂
Cosby is human and I'm sure if we dug into every public figure they've all done things they wouldn't want to be public. I chose to remember only the good things Cosby has done and all of that positivity he brought to my life.
We need more shows like this. Everything has gotten so corrupted on tv, we are over saturated with sex, drugs, gender confusion shows. Why not portray the decent normal, fun, loving, responsible parents raising their children again. Zero agenda pushing.
You are Exactly right! all the sitcom now is like watching soft porn?? I was Watching The Oval the other night and they had the Son while being interviewed by his therapist in his room,, I can't even repeat what he was doing.. How can his parents okay a scene like that??
Love that every episode had vital lessons and meaning. To recreate another Great show such as 'The Cosby's' and astounding characters 'The Huxtable's' is very rare. The tribute to Phylicia Rashad was phenomenal.
There'll never be another show like it! A true gem which is timelessly funny and educational touching both adults and young people of all ages! I could watch it all day long and still laugh at the jokes. If I had a family I'd certainly try my very best to model it on the Huxtables. This is a show which taught me lessons about life, how to deal with young people and how to regard the older generation. Thank you Bill Cosby for sharing your talent with the world and gifting us with such an ageless creation! Thank you sir!
What a wonderful family TV show. A true favorite of mine. The world needs more of this show today!!! I think one of the things that made this show what it was, was the fact that there was never any mention of race.
THIS IS A CLASSIC RIGHT HERE........ WHO COULD NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THEM I MISS THEM BEING ON TELEVISION ESPECIALLY THE EPISODE OF THE GOLDEN GARTRELL SHIRT WITH THEO AND WHEN HIS DAD embarrassed in HIM IN FRONT OF HIS COMPANY
"try to smear"? He was tried and convicted of rape, and sent to jail. No one is denying that he was talented, or that this show was great, but there is no defending the problems with him at this point.

Nothing will ever compare, i adore this show that showed so much diversity to so many. What involved parents looked like, generational love and most of all, what it looks like to actually care about people in your life. Thank you to all the cast!!

Back in India in the 80’s we unfortunately didnt have this show on tv ....but I stumbled on to video tapes of this show at a cousins place ....and i was hooked . What a journey it was . I was so impressed with the way they interacted with the children , how they explained things to them , encouraged them to portray their thoughts , so very different from the way we in india were brought up , that i promised myself then ( i was just a teen then ) , that this was how i would parent my children ....and i hope i did so .
Who is coming here after Mr. Cosby’s release? No one is with out fault, NOOOOOOO ONE. We all have done wrong, that wrong looks different for each of us. Some worse than others some in the closet some honest with themselves and others. With that being said, imma watch this show till it’s no longer available in any plate form to watch and my kids( if God allows a miracle) will watch too.
@Joe Box I am saying what a person did or did not do does not stop me from watching a tv show that I love and watched all my childhood. What I said has nothing to do specifically with the guy that killed Mr. Floyd. What I said was WE ALL HAVE DONE WRONG AND NO ONE IS WITHOUT FAULT AND THAT IT LOOKS DIFFERENT FOR EACH PERSON. This would included u, me, her, him, she, he, they, we, us…. Do you have any other questions/ do you need more clarity on what I simply said the first time and this time?
@Joe Box u have the right to ask any questions but u can not tell me how to reply to that question. ( telling me to say yes or no) George Floyd was a human with flaws, the police officer was a human with flaws. U are a human with flaws as am I, he, her, she, them, they, we, us. You are trying to control the narrative by asking me about another human being that has nothing to do with Cosby or the show that I am watching as I type this reply. Here is a even better question: do u have flaws and faults? Do ppl still care for you and stand in your corner despite those flaws? And if you did what Cosby and the police officer were convicted of(or did any criminal activity) would you still want those ppl to be in your corner ( whatever that means and looks like to you) and love you, pray for you, and consider you a human being despite the in humane actions you have done? Or would you want ppl to throw you away, be unforgiving, bitter and treat you like the worst thing in earth? If you were famous/a celebrity would you want your fans to turn their back on you, stop listening to your music or stop being entertained by you? Is it your point that I should not be entertained by Cosby and the Cosby show or any future things he does? Is it your opinion that I should not pray for the police officers Family and pray God changes his heart. And what is your issues with my opinion and what does Floyd or the officer have to do with me watching Cosby despite his flaws and criminal activity? And if your really paying attention I have answered your question in my own way, it seems not to be clear to you. NO PERSON is unforgivable. No person is beyond reproach or change. No person should be judge with out being able to judge themselves. Ooh snap, The Cosby show season 8 episode 8 just finished on to episode 9🙂 I’m sure we will “meet” here again, i look forward to it. And the officer that killed Floyd well he has no tv show that I know of so I will find another show to watch and if the actors or actresses, producers or directors end up being someone that committed a crime, I will be watching despite heir flaws and faults.
no sex , no violence , no nudity , no profanity is the best in shows like the Cosby Show and those like it ! thanks

I loved her, and she is my favorite actress. She deserved an actress award! I grew up watching her on this show. She inspired me to go back to college and get my bachelor's degree, because she played the role of an attorney. She is so beautiful, intelligent, & elegant.
It exposes the hypocrisy of bigoted follywood.
This,

Yes 👍 agree ☺
Hey the jeffersons lived on 5th ave! The Huxtables lived in Brooklyn!
@Thomas Cook, Remember the RAPIST, OF BLACK WOMEN ON THE PLANTATIONS, LYNCHINGS MURDERS AND SELLING OF MOTHERS AND FATHERS WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN BY Presidents and the like!!!!!!!! How about #45.
Billie Wilson Of course there are black lawyers and doctors! There is no difference in abilities. All the black communities have to do is get the education offered them. There should be MORE
kk doc : Thanks for those pearls of wisdom, I live in town where if a child goes to school K, through 12 got great to fair grades, they will pay for
Kids to attend college for 4 Years. Not Half the black kids go !🤦🏽♀️🤷🏾♀️ not even mines sorry to say. Except my daughter who has a Masters in psychology.
Who graduated 2 years earlier before help came . 😪 So there is help if they want to come up higher, but complaining seams to be easier and
Not listening to the truthfulness of their people who had to do it hard way. Thanks again 🙋🏽
nothing anyone in this cast could do or say could make me not love this show. I wish so badly I grew up in the 80s/90s because of this show. Such a beautiful cast.
Yeah...we were lucky!
I was 8 when this show started and 16 when it went off the air. During the last episode I felt like I was losing a friend.
@@myronwilliams1495 I was 9 when it started and 17 when it went off the air.
Thankyou Mr.Cosby for teaching me what a good painting was and what a art auction was!!!!!! THANK You
Bill Cosby, he has been through enough, the loss of his son and now his daughter. I respect the man behind the comedy and the comedy behind the man. He is a great comedian. He is a man that I can admire a lot. He proved in America that there are still two parent black households.
6153calme He raped.
He’s a great comedian and actor. I’ll give him that but pls call him what he is. This is not a good man.
this is why he is punished
6153calme Dont you mean the WOMEN he abused have been trough enough?
did it ever cross your mind that it is not true, I am a woman
This show will always be cherished and it will always stand the test of time simply because it was WONDERFUL 🎉🎉🎉 may God continue to bless them all
Regadless of Mr. Bill cosbys personal woes... the Cosby show was a classic!
I agree totally!!!
Agreed. It helped me prepare for the Adult World.
Am I the only one that cried, the cosby show was my life, omg so sad that its done but all we can do is keep the memories that we took with us of this truly magnificent show.

I agree. 👍👍👍 M

I cried too. I loved this show!
Yes.
This show was, is, and will forever be my favorite.
There’s no other that has, is and will ever be better rated than the Cosby show. They’re examples for the families of the past, present and FUTURE.
@@theloniouspolk4068 hmmm maybe...better rated by whom...Cosby was the model parent academic show...ROSEANNE had a touch of reality...
For your time period, but for everyone, it's the Cosby show. If you don't like it, tou, tou.
It was actually a really good show!!!!! So was a different world!
That tribute to Phylicia Rashad at the end was everything.
Jay Oh she is a true goddess
Was I the only one who started crying?😭🙊
True goddess!
Still just as beautiful then as she is now.
Beautiful
@@barbarajackson407 it was Vanessa and her friends and they went to go see the Wretched
I love this show at all times
There was no other show like The Cosby show I respect every actor on that show and I respect Bill Cosby to the highest no matter what no other person says about him or any court I respect him to the highest
Even now the world needs this show. Best family show ever
They don’t make show like these anymore, this is what families need to watch.
I grew up watching the Cosby show and despite what Bill allegedly did you can't deny the impact and legacy that Mr Cosby had on all of us

One of the best shows of all time, I looked forward to it every week growing up. I think I cried when it ended!

When I'm having a "I can't handle being a parent" moment, I always think of the day my girls, after watching a Cosby Show marathon both said to me "Mommy you're a Cuban version of Claire Huxtable. Especially when your mad". That totally made my day since I always Loved and Admired her.
Happy birthday Mr. Bill Cosby 🙌🎶🎷🎷🍰. Thank You for everything You have done on stage and thank You for The Cosby Show 🌹
You can send him a letter...just look up his inmate number.
I loved this show. I'll always have the fondest memories.
I really miss this show! There will never be anything like it again.
Ugh the memories. Despite everything this show was my life.
Angel Johnson lisaBonetfromthecosdyshow
@Angel Johnson maybe people want to go home and not have to think about all of those terrible things. So what if the show is light hearted. Doesnt make it worse than a show that deals with those things. Your comment is asinine.
@Angel Johnson well seeing as how they took place in totally different types of neighborhoods I would imagine they wouldn't talk about the same things.

I loved the Cosby show ,it was very special
Nothing should ever take away from the brilliance of the writing and acting of all involved. A huge part of the 80s culture to never be forgotten.
On a good note, despite what happened, Bill was a comedy genius!
Loooove that show! Still puts a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart. #TheGreatest
I will always love this show ,and will always watch it when I can, Bravo 👏 Mr Cosby 👏and Ms Rashad 👏 and the cast 👏 I wish we could have more🥰
THE BEST SHOW THERE EVER WAS TO CROSS THAT TV SCREEN!
Ri_ Wil ,
I agree 💜
Bollocks. Fawlty Towers was Wildean, this was sentimental rubbish.
gary morgan Bollocks my foot. Fawlty Towers is not in the same genre as TCS
I'm
Still in awe of Mr.Cosby
I beg to differ. The Jeffersons were a prelude to the Cosby show. George Jefferson is one of the most memorable characters from that era of television.
"I brought you in this world and I'll take you OUT!!!" LMAOOO! BEST LINE EVER! #awesomeshow #memories
Me, jaleesa/OK. Where are you
This is the truth, mom made you from birth, but I know she won't kill you; some did, back in the days.
I still love this show! Despite it all. This show should still be on the air. It’s a great family show. 😁 This is how I was raised.
This is our life, they don't know how similar life is now like back then; but they're trying to make it difficult.
It was our lives2live like that; instead of living so hard@dangerous
Watching this today has made me come to the conclusion that it's as of now my new binge watch during the lockdown. Classic show.
I love you Bill and Felicia! You guys rock! Bill you will always have my respect! Thank you for everything!
I didn’t grow up in the 80s but when it was on reruns in the 2000s I was very interested in this show and I was hooked! I believe the first episode I watched was when Vanessa got drunk !!! 😂😂😂😂
The complete series is on Amazon for $28. There are 202 episodes. I just bought it.
Cosby is human and I'm sure if we dug into every public figure they've all done things they wouldn't want to be public. I chose to remember only the good things Cosby has done and all of that positivity he brought to my life.

Jan 21, 2022: The Cosby Show....what a blessing!
We need more shows like this. Everything has gotten so corrupted on tv, we are over saturated with sex, drugs, gender confusion shows.
Why not portray the decent normal, fun, loving, responsible parents raising their children again. Zero agenda pushing.

What a wonderful family TV show. A true favorite of mine. The world needs more of this show today!!! I think one of the things that made this show what it was, was the fact that there was never any mention of race.

I love Bill Cosby no matter how much they try smear his character.
"try to smear"? He was tried and convicted of rape, and sent to jail. No one is denying that he was talented, or that this show was great, but there is no defending the problems with him at this point.

( telling me to say yes or no)
George Floyd was a human with flaws, the police officer was a human with flaws.
I can see this looking back show over and over again. Just beautiful. Thanks
