I don’t actually think Freedom is bad btw, I get beat by them a lot, I’m just a skill issue ALSO IM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY I ACCIDENTALLY KEPT MY STREAMING BITRATE ON
@@MykeDawg yeah i feel your pain- btw honest It took me over 1 week of straight loosing and loosing to get somewhat good with it- Freedom is a nightmare at first but when you get the hang of it, It is a very very fum style to use
Some tips for using Freedom: 1st - Make Whirlwind your main mode, since it's very fast, has a swayback and kinda good counter damage. Focus on countering and dodging. 2nd - When you start a m1 string at Whirlwind, after 1 or 2 m1s, switch to Flicker very fast. Like this you can keep the pressure and cause massive chip damage (it's still regenerable tho, keep that in mind). It might not break block, but the chip damage will be good anyway. If you wanna continue keeping your distance while attacking, stay in Flicker, otherwise, go back to Whirlwind. 3rd - After a PD, ALWAYS switch quickly to Smash mode and m2 them. It's a guaranteed Smash, so don't waste it. You can do that by pressing m2, R and them m2 again during the PD window. The Flicker Pressure strategy also works with Smash's m1s tho, even Smash's m1 doing more block damage. 4th - Be unpredictable. You can do that by doing some techs no one would expect during a fight, like a quick Smash m2 (it's hard to do but, all you gotta do is m2 during whirlwind to trigger the switch, click m2 again and switch during m2). It will have the same animation as Whirlwind with the damage from Smash. You can also feint a Smash into a Smash/Flicker m1 string, or keep countering using Whirlwind. Anyways, great vid :)
advise for using freedom Flicker: good health damage and m1speed mid-block health. Downside low block damage and bad walk speed whirlwind: good dashes and walk speed with hawk sway. Downside low damage on everything and bad block health smash: good block break potential smash m2 that change sides good block health. Downside slow m1 and m2 and mid health damage. every mode is used differently in scenarios. (correct me if I missed stuff about freedom idk)
Oh yeah And i thing flicker and the movement one have extra counter dmg... Also this style is like this: Hit with flicker, Backlash and go into green to regen block usé m1 to have flicker hold to change When you Need it, When you pd you press m2 after you press it you press R and then m2, Back dash , R, if you get ulti change to green and run :V Thats is freedom
One thing about the flicker mode is that it's the same as hitman flickers, which only comes from one side, making it pretty predictable to most good players.
Here are some half-assed advice - You can use smash’s shield chip damage to prepare for flicker - God be careful throwing smash m2’s - You can switch from whirlwind m1’s to flicker or smash (just has a small timing window to do so) - Just make sure to switch to whirlwind if you don’t want to get pressured - You can switch styles easily without throwing attacks to switch styles, that being to . . . dash and quickly hit with either m1 and m2, and switch styles mid dash, you know you’re doing it right if you’re not hitting your attacks after the dash
You can switch modes while blocking or dodging. I usually stay in smash to get better guard damage, and it also has a better block than the other modes. I only use flicker for speed battles or outboxing. And a common thing some people fall for is if you m1 in flicker or whirlwind, and then block and switch to smash really fast, sometimes they won’t expect a random smash m2. Edit: Flicker does a lot of damage to health, and smash to block. And flicker doesn’t do much guard damage, and smash does little health damage.
Hey great match also my first time ever being in a RUclips video! Trust me just give freedom a chance its truly a great style. (Quick side note the only reason i was using kimura was because I ran out of spins trying to get shotgun lol)
Yeah freedom is known to be very hard to use but man when i saw Kee Demir use it in his video he was a heck of a beast. Like literally destroying people with it. Definitely think u can master this style and if u do im sure its gonna be a very fun style to use.
Freedom being the style with the highest skill ceiling in the game it should be the best style if you master it but it got nerfed a while back and now its not even worth learning it
I beg you, get better with freedom. I used to main it and despite its high counter intake and lower health, It’s SUPER good if you actually utilize it how it’s supposed to be used!
Fun fact: if you want block damage with freedom try using Smash mode m1 Flicker m1 bypass a lot of blocking giving damage even with blocking it does not help much tbh even if it put pressure but is something to keep in mind in case your foe is at low hp, also it have the fastest m1 speed thats helps a lot if u just got ulted ans still have hp or if you ulted someone that have a little bit of hp The amount of matches i did an 80% combo because of flicker and rushed an entire match isnt a joke fr- Whirlwind is mostly to set ups smashes and do counters btw
@@MykeDawgah Sorry i forgor to mention something important there- look the edited version But in summary flicker is an useful asset if you are on a m1 trade exemple when u landed an ult or got hit by an ult and you/your foe are still alive, since It have the fastest m1 speed of the whole game and can do some crazy damage if you caught counter with your oponent there after the ult (that trust me will happen a lot)
