Oh crap I didn't even realize they never played that song! That song will always be one of my favs from Load because 1. It just slaps so hard and 2. It was the first song that made me listen to other songs by Metallica besides Enter Sandman and Ain't My Bitch.
He has 100% been singing through a processor since at least the first Hardwired outdoor run. It's fine. We'd rather hear him sing with a steady tone and always on key anyway. Same thing with Lars playing to a click track since that time as well. The band always staying on tempo, and James singing always on key have made their performances better. Who's cares if they're getting a little help? It's still live, which is more than 95% of bands out there today, can say.

I know James is the type of guy who doesn't look back. But I think that the Load and ReLoad albums are among their most mature... they remind me of Gary Moore's music, precise, full of heart. I know fans love fast, aggressive Metallica but for me these two albums are some of the most important. I was once at Metallica in Chorzów (Poland) and they played Devils Dance... it was a great surprise. I would love to see more songs from these albums on their set lists. I'm sure I'll listen to 72 seasons again, I might listen to Hardwired, there's a chance I'll listen to Magnetic if they fix the mix, but I'll always listen to Load/Reload
Last week I learned that I have a chronic disease that has no cure. I've been listening to this song all week, referring to it. And now I got a new video notification from my favorite band, Until It Sleeps live. Metallica saved my life. (I know James has previously said that until it sleeps is not related to illness or cancer)
Until it sleeps It's one of my favorite songs. Me, I was eighteen when the album Load came out. I received harsh criticism for saying I liked the new sound of the album. Now, I find it curious to see how those metalheads who insulted and criticized me for defending the Load album,Now they go crazy singing it at concerts. Curious, very very curious.
It's a small and simple thing but I love how Lars starts hitting the crashes during the last chorus, it gives it an extra oomph and power that the studio version lacks a bit
@@STMBeats yeah! It has the fret markers and fret lines but no actual frets, makes it much easier to keep your intonation right for those who aren't used to fretless
This is one of my favourite tracks from that era, and I’ve never heard it sound better live. Rob killed it and James vocals were so powerful thanks for posting this
So cool that they're playing this song again, we all love it. Great performance, I just wish Lars hit the snare in 3:41 like the record, after the "... so wash me 'till clean" part, it adds so much power.
Lars’s yellow drums look incredible! The metallic orange St. Anger era and the yellow have been some of my favorites. That yellow with the black is sick!
So the crowd was mostly chill for this one 😂. I love it, the first single off Load, I remember when it came out and was heavily played on the radio in ‘96. 🌲🌕🍺
Never clicked so fast on a Metallica video before as this is one of my favourites after king nothing, enter sandman and nothing else matters and some others
I'd love to see them do the entire Load album played live for some sort of anniversary special, there's alot of us that love the whole thing, & I've been a fan since 1988!
I was there and I love every album up to and including Death Magnetic.......this was such a surprise and treat. James has some serious range, his voice was a gift from god.
There is something truly special with the sunset arc gracing both spectators and band. very reminiscent of 1980's eastern Canada. hopefully old-school colors , art , and play are coming back to the masses as a result.
