    Thanks! I use linux too much; free bsd is obviously the way but my skills are lacking...

      Man files, Google and this channel are your best friend. All BSD's are pretty simple and minimalistic, and the good thing is that they don't change every now and then like Linux. IDK if it's a good idea if FreeBSD is what you want, but have a go with OpenBSD. It's even more "noob friendly". The worst thing that can happen is that you fall in love with it. Anyway, I think it's an easy way to rewire your brain from Linux to BSD. They are not the same but it's usually harder to go from Linux to *BSD than to hop between BSD's. I have both FreeBSD and OpenBSD around me all the time and I don't even think about it when going between machines. Some "Command not found" when brainfarting, that's all. I promise, if you tinker, the skills will come very soon. Welcome to the nice world of BSD's.
