I personally liked Chloe's performance and wanted her to win because she was the underdog, BUT if I was scoring the competition, they would legitamately, they would have tied. I don't understand how they scored that one, because Maddie came out so much more fluid and committed and confident, but bobbled her turns. She used full contractions and full extensions. Chloe was a breath of Fresh air to watch, I FELT her dancer from the heart, but she doesnt COMMAND the stage like Maddie, you just feel connected to her heart. That being said, Chloes turns were AMAZING and this was by far one of her best performances. Her turns were executed MUCH nicer than Maddies.I would say Chloe's turns were nearly perfect that day. She didn't hit full extension on some of her leaps though, and doesn't use her full contractions while transitioning through the movement though. That being said, even after all that I would still Score them literally EXACTLY THE SAME!! BUT if you pay REALLY close attention, EVERY time Abby gave a girl the same solo as Maddie, Maddie had a Front Aerial and the other dancer would NOT!!!! So Chloe had a side Aerial that day and Maddie had a front aerial. And on in 'Fool Me Once' Maddie had a front Aerial and Kendall had a side jete! SOOO even if they were perfect, they would not score as many points in terms of SKILL, because a Front Aerial is a much more difficult skill than a Side Aerial or Jete!! So I think Abby literally rigged it so Maddie would score higher no matter what. That's my opinion.
@@JordanJSparks I agree with you but I don't think Abby rigged it, she puts Maddie's front aerial in there because Maddie can execute that, but Chloe and Kendall cannot do a front aerial so she's forced to switch theirs to a side aerial.
I think the only thing chloe had lost when she came back to Dance Moms was some flexibility, but what she gained was a new confidence and passion and I’ll take that over a little flexibility any day!
Laura Lo Mango individually competing sports are always like that. By that, I mean that when you are mainly competing on your own-the whole sport and competition is based on comparison. And it sucks, but that’s how the sport/game is “played”. I’m not a dancer, but I can relate as a gymnast. Even though we are on a team, you’re always competing on your own even against your teammates. And if your on a great team then your teammates are bound to be your best competitors. Some ppl aren’t built for the competitiveness of these sports bc you can’t really rely on your team.
You can tell that Abby killed her love of dance during the show. I’m glad she’s found it again and she’s so happy and confident. To me as a non dancer idc about technique unless she looked like she was having fun.
I think you are spot on. Chloe's ability to tell a story, her beautiful lines and attention to technique and ability to overcome her worst critic, Abby. and still deliver beautiful dancing before, during and after Dance Moms, makes Chloe my favorite dancer of all time. I hope she never gives up her love for dancing whether she chooses to pursue it as a career or not. She has a rare and beautiful gift. I am glad we got to share it with her.
@@JordanJSparks Chloe‘s storytelling was always more honest than Maddie’s, that’s the thing I like more about her. She was a very natural actor, we can see that as an actor on film/television Maddie has struggled because she was taught to be big and performative. She would be great on Broadway, but that’s about it outside of competition dance. She’s a dynamic performer, but Chloe had something that can’t be taught which is her honesty.
Chloe is my absolute favourite, she was always so grown and wise for her age !!So sweet and nice !! Christi should be proud that she brought up such a Kind child !! I love Chloe ♥😍😘🌹😓🎂🌺

I think Chloe improved and became more well rounded as a dancer once she left Abby's. She gained confidence and she found her passion for dance again. It was the best decision Christi made for her. Chloe has always been my favorite. She is so graceful on stage. I hope her career skyrockets!
I think the only thing she lost was some flexibility but that’s normal as you get older overall she’s still a great dancer I feel people over exaggerate her “regression”
I think you are totally right. and I think she GAINED confidence, so in the end I think that's the most valuable skill to have as a dancer, that's why I Feel she hasn't TRULY regressed as an Artist. People just like to compare and pit Famous people up against each other, so they criticize her and compare her to professional dancers with different goals and aspirations and styles, it's really NOT something you can compare! Well I don't know about way better, Chloe was honestly a better dancer than I was when I started watching the show, whereas Abby has like a LIFETIME of teaching experience. BUT I would take a much more compassionate and encouraging approach to my teaching and coaching, that's for sure!!!
paris mahone Honestly, I’ve always felt like Maddie was more confident and overall a better performer. I love Chloe’s technique though. At the end of the day, they’re entirely different dancers with different strengths. Both are super good at what they do - all the dancers are good at what they do 😄

Actually, I think that Maddie gets more hate in the fandom. Whenever Maddie messes up something, fans are brutal and get all over her, while when Chloe messes up something, fans sympathize instead. But you’re wrong about Maddie not getting any hate, the poor girl gets lots of hate! More than she deserves. Whenever she does well on a dance, I see commenters say that she is nowhere as good as professional dancers like Sophia Lucia and others. She constantly gets compared to better dancers. Meanwhile, Chloe fans stick to Chloe and don’t compare her to famous dancers. Honestly, I rarely see Chloe getting hated on 🤷🏽♀️ I will make myself clear right now: I love both dancers. They are both incredible dancers and storytellers, and they both have their own strengths. I’m just stating that personally, Maddie’s dancing connects to me more. That’s NOT to say that she is the better dancer. In fact, a lot of my friends connect to Chloe’s dancing more. Unpopular opinion? I prefer Chloe’s facial expressions and passion in lyrical to maddies, I don’t like comparing them but that’s just one thing I personally think

Actually I see the expressions in maddie and for chloe she has the emotion so when she dances you know the story shes telling and she has the passion!!
I'm not even going to try to be unbiased. Chloe was the best, is the best, and will always be the best. I think she's also the best person. Like Christi or not, she and Marc did a wonderful job raising Chloe.
I hate how everyone says how 'awful' Chloe's flexibility was. Truthfully, we don't know what her skill was in acro because it gave her anxiety to perform it. The best we got to see was her infamous side aeriel and a back-flip in an acrobatic number with Brooke. She could have been able to do alot more in the studio, but wasn't able to do it on stage. As far as flexibility goes without the added tricks, Chloe was actually very flexible. She didn't have naturally bendy muscles, so everything we see was what she had to work for during the early years of her life. Her kicks were always high (even though she always bended her supporting leg. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do that or not) and her leaps were never undersplit. I don't think there was ever a time where Abby reprimanded her for having sickled feet. Even if she wasn't anywhere near Kalani or Brynn level, her technique was extremely impressive for being trained at ALDC and comparing her to Nia or Kendall. I don't know why people hate on her so much. 😕
Funny you say that, cause I do only remember ONE time that Chloe got reprimanded for sickled feet and it was starting a turn sequence once lol. She usually NEVER had sickled feet, which in my professional opinion is actually a LOT more frequent with natural flexible dancers. Chloe has flexibility like me, no natural flexibility in the hamstrings, so she had to WORK for all that flexibility. A lot the girls were naturally hyper mobile, like for example, GUARANTEED Brynn would still be flexible if she danced or not, it's just her elastin levels in her body. I think Chloe has the potential to be an AMAZING dancer on that team and definitely a Rockette if she wanted to, BUT at the time the show was in it's Prime, the MOST impressive Fads in Dance Competition world were all the flexibility tricks, so IT's no surprise that they pulled in girls with Contortion skills and Acro and insane flexibility, and showcased them over people with natural control and emotion, such as Chloe!
@@JordanJSparks+ Yeah, I totally agree. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but my little sister was born with something wrong with her joints. She was EXTEMELY hyper-mobile, but had low muscle-tone in her hands, meaning that she couldn't do anything that required putting her body weight on her hands. She could do all this crazy contortion on the floor but was never able to do actual tricks. Also, when it came to ballet class, she COULD NOT for the life of her, point her feet. I had to physically get her foot and push her instep up and her toes down for her to actually do a successful tondu, and even then, her knee had to knobble in the way in order to allow the muscles in her feet to push forward and she lost her beautiful turn-out. 😔 I'm not sure, but I think that Maesi Caes is kinda similar, because she's arguably one if the best acrobats in America, but she ALWAYS sickles her feet and it can be really frustrating lol. The dance world definitely got more demanding, because I remember back when Maddie did her Disappear solo, everyone was so amazed as to how mature she was in her movements even though she was pretty wobbly in alot of parts. I remember being impressed at her front aeriel at that age. Now, you have Elliana Walmsley that's the same age and performing such difficult choreo and displaying more control over her movements than what most seniors do. It's funny how times change, huh?

Ya it's CRAZY how fast the dance world has changed!! the standards are impossibly high now because of all the dance tv shows these days. IT sounds like your sister may have Ehlers Danlos, which is a condition that causes extreme hyper mobility. I'm not sure with the dancers on the show, but yes, usually If you have EXTREME flexibility, you're going to have to WORK hard to have control, and vice versa. @@kiera6326
I"m glad that Christi listened to Chloe when she said it wasnt fun for her anymore. Christi was half living out her dream in Chloe, since she couldn't take dance, but she respected Chloe as a person. Still does. Have you seen Chloe's girlfriend? Chloe is such a beautiful, sweet young lady, and I hope she found her "person" in Brooklyn. She deserve it.
how come everyone acts like chloe is training in a ballet school or something? she only takes class for fun now and has been doing it that way for the last 2-3 years, of course her technique isn't amazing lol but chloe never pretends like it is, she is a professional actor, influencer and performer not a straight up DANCER like she was at age 11.
I know pretty much nothing about dance but i always thought it was so cool how chloe never seemed to move much during her turns (travel?) when some of the other girls would turn and it would be beautiful but they'd end like a foot from where the1y started (And yes i would die for a new maddie/chloe solo. I also feel cheated out of a chloe/brynn performance)
I know Chloe was not at her best when she came back to the show, but I was so happy to see her dancing again! It was great seeing her finish what she started. It's sad that Abby killed her passion for dance. Not only Chloe but most of the other girls have also admitted that being on the show killed their passion for dance.
I think people might have just been so focused on her feet & legs... and what I loved about her turns was her ability to move her arms into all different positions.
This is what I truly think: WHEN Chloe would dance with confidence, she had 100% better emotional execution, and connection to the piece than Maddie, simply because it came from her heart. She never had to over perform. She was the most natural dancer on the team, especially technically. Even Abby said this. When Chloe would dance from her heart, nothing can compare to that. The only thing that Maddie did better than her was performance value- playing characters. But again, performance and emotion are two different things. Chloe always brought true emotion. And that’s not something that can be taught. That’s why it kills me to see how she was treated because I know that if she had a full support in confidence, she could’ve beat Maddie and a lot of other dancers very easily more often. Chloe was just as special and unique a dancer as Maddie was as a performer. Chloe was a true DANCER.

beautiful commentary Jordan, so refreshing. to add I do believe no matter how talented a dancer can be in the competition world if the choreography is sub par to the dancers true potential and set to sabotage a dancers winning chances, imo the teachers goal will come to fruition. The dance dated 2016- reflection was actually an old dance when she was way younger and wearing braces, Chloe shared she happened to come by it and noted it was not shared. I loved her dancing/artistry to her vid called blindness. So disappointed lifetime did not allow Chloe to take up the Joffrey scholarship, would have been great viewing, I wonder if they were scared of loosing her to the Joffery school knowing how awesome a ballerina she was even then .Chloe has that special something that draws me in, bless her heart. Not sure if you are aware Jordan, in 2011 at the Yagp Seattle semi-finals Chloe performed the ballet variation la fille mal gardee and placed in the top 12. Only photos are available, she looks so lovely while in her element.
Hmmm... maybe she s regressed in flexibility but progressed in expression.... I just honestly believe if she didn't stop dancing... she would be better than she is... like kept her turns, flexibility, and the emotions...
yeah! to be fair, I never even started dancing until I was 19, so if it's her passion to Dance, she can Definitely get back to it and be a beautiful dancer, even technically!
love Chloe (I loved Maddie to) my favorite moment for Chloe during dancing moms was when SHE got picked to play a younger Lux for Just Like Summer song.
Ok so she's lost some talent in dance, but look what she's gained confidence in herself, the will to try new things even if they don't work out. Plus she's figured out what she wants to do with her life that to me is worth so much more then just being talented at something.

Chloe's turns are literally perfect for me, when she is confident I adore her energy and emotions but her acrobatics oof they're not bad or horrible yet she could definitely work on them. I love Chloe as a dancer
I feel like As the evolution of the video went on I could feel her passion dying and she didn’t evoke as much emotion. When she left and came back I felt her emotion way more and I feel like she was connected with her body. Where was a period when I felt her passion die and her break revived it.
The two dances which I liked was definitely the reason why as I felt she really told her story about how Abby treated her not only that you can see how much Abby tore her apart the other two were I know it’s too late and another girl she really wanted Abby to see her for her not Maddie or Kendall but a girl who loves to dance.

The video that is playing at the very beginning of this is the original music to Baby Mine. On the show, she actually danced to Baby Mine, not that, but her choreography was the same. That is why she was having trouble learning it (the scene with her mom on the porch, etc).

I think your commentary about Chloe's dancing is very insightful. I love that you appreciate her emotional connection. She always drew me in, my favorite! I wouldn't want to see a Chloe/Maddie duet today because they're not friends anymore. True they danced magically together and mirrored each other but even if they could still do that the emotional connection is no loger there. The "sister" connection, if you will. So even if they still danced beautifully together, there would be something missing, and that would ruin it for me. Loved your reaction and insight. I would love to see Chloe compete on Dancing With The Stars as a celebrity it would be fun to see her learn a new genre i think she would have the potential to be one of the best celebrities to compete on the show but then again I could totally see her getting criticized on social media stating that it’s “unfair” and that she has an “unfair advantage” which would be ridiculous

@@kaitlynlaura6088 Look at the choreography - it's basically a mini-level solo, and for some reason James didn't bump up the difficulty for Chloe. Maybe it had a lot of steps they learned from Mrs. Miller when they were much younger and she was their teacher.
What I love about Chloe's turns, and it was there in season 1 when I didn't see it in the other girls' turns at all, was the control! She was able to move her arms into different positions mid-turn, and it was so beautiful and graceful. Even at 10 when doing "Dream on a Star" with her little hands closing into fists.
I'd like her to dance with passion when she doesn't like a piece, not just when she likes it, and add more flourishes to the bits that aren't tricks. Also sometimes there are pauses between each move.

In jogged my memory as being the last dance she ever performed as soon as it came on screen, but because of the order in this video I was not too sure. I remember sitting with my friend Miranda watching the first season of Dance Moms and getting her hooked, (she's not even a dancer LOL) and I made an anklet that said "Team Chloe" because she touched my heart. Little Chloe reminded me so much of myself as a kid. Almost fragile but with a giant heart. Anyways, that being said, it was the duet "Inside of Me' that really inspired me for the longest time, and then "You Can" and "Silence". I personally thought silence was so good in terms of how she danced it, but watching Chloe dance "You Can" is a breath of fresh air. I also loved her "Lucky Star" solo, I thought she danced BEAUTIFULLY! What was your favorite from Chloe?

Soaring was her last solo that she competed, but "Lucky Star" was the last solo she performed on the show (in the reunion special which if I have heard correctly was filmed a day or so after nationals & before the final team dinner). Talk about awkward. Christi probably didn't allow Chloe within 100 feet of Abby, and that's the reunion where she called Abby a piece of s*&! right to her face.

@@JordanJSparks I honestly remember liking chloe the best because she reminded me of myself. the first 2 seasons really hit hard with me too. I remember one time chloe was crying and wanting to quit and I was wanting to quit too at that particular moment because my high school band director was Abby 2.0 and during marching season she was the absolute worst (she made me even compete on a knee that I cut to the bone during our morning practice before quarterfinals.) But I think both our moms made us stick it out. As much as I have bad memories and experiences I am thankful for her pushing my natural talent and bettering me. Though my ankles are completely ruined now. (can't go all day on them without serious pain if I'm too active) I would still go back and do it again to relive all the good experiences.
I always loved Chloe. I really saw myself in her, and she was just straight up gorgeous. I had the biggest crush on her before I even knew I was gay 😂. That’s beside the point, but I always thought her dances had more emotion than Maddie’s in that she was more attached to them. Maddie’s solos were just solos with the occasional special one (Cry, Angel, Birthday, Timeless). With the “You Can/Be Anything” solos, Chloe took it to heart and that piece meant something to her and you could really see that when she danced it. Maddie just rushed through because she was trying to win, and it was apparent. Anyway, my point is that Chloe to me has always had amazing technique and her dances were breathtaking.

I really think the episode where Maddie and Chloe did the same solo was set up. What are the chances that the judges make a mistake in the scoring in just Chloe’s dance. I think the producers set it up so there’d be more drama.
Alicia Hessert It was confirmed Chloe won, but the solo mostly had Chloe strengths. If it was a contemporary solo full of leaps and ariels Maddie would’ve won. Since it was a pretty lyrical with turns Chloe won. Both girls are different but amazing in their own way!

@@JordanJSparks I agree with you but I don't think Abby rigged it, she puts Maddie's front aerial in there because Maddie can execute that, but Chloe and Kendall cannot do a front aerial so she's forced to switch theirs to a side aerial.

I think the only thing chloe had lost when she came back to Dance Moms was some flexibility, but what she gained was a new confidence and passion and I’ll take that over a little flexibility any day!

Laura Lo Mango individually competing sports are always like that. By that, I mean that when you are mainly competing on your own-the whole sport and competition is based on comparison. And it sucks, but that’s how the sport/game is “played”. I’m not a dancer, but I can relate as a gymnast. Even though we are on a team, you’re always competing on your own even against your teammates. And if your on a great team then your teammates are bound to be your best competitors. Some ppl aren’t built for the competitiveness of these sports bc you can’t really rely on your team.
You can tell that Abby killed her love of dance during the show. I’m glad she’s found it again and she’s so happy and confident. To me as a non dancer idc about technique unless she looked like she was having fun.
I think you are spot on. Chloe's ability to tell a story, her beautiful lines and attention to technique and ability to overcome her worst critic, Abby. and still deliver beautiful dancing before, during and after Dance Moms, makes Chloe my favorite dancer of all time. I hope she never gives up her love for dancing whether she chooses to pursue it as a career or not. She has a rare and beautiful gift. I am glad we got to share it with her.
She definitely has the gift of heart. Whether she choses to use that in any capacity in any artwork would be great, but I hope she continues to dance!

@@JordanJSparks Chloe‘s storytelling was always more honest than Maddie’s, that’s the thing I like more about her. She was a very natural actor, we can see that as an actor on film/television Maddie has struggled because she was taught to be big and performative. She would be great on Broadway, but that’s about it outside of competition dance. She’s a dynamic performer, but Chloe had something that can’t be taught which is her honesty.

I think Chloe improved and became more well rounded as a dancer once she left Abby's. She gained confidence and she found her passion for dance again. It was the best decision Christi made for her. Chloe has always been my favorite. She is so graceful on stage. I hope her career skyrockets!
I think the only thing she lost was some flexibility but that’s normal as you get older overall she’s still a great dancer I feel people over exaggerate her “regression”
I think you are totally right. and I think she GAINED confidence, so in the end I think that's the most valuable skill to have as a dancer, that's why I Feel she hasn't TRULY regressed as an Artist. People just like to compare and pit Famous people up against each other, so they criticize her and compare her to professional dancers with different goals and aspirations and styles, it's really NOT something you can compare! Well I don't know about way better, Chloe was honestly a better dancer than I was when I started watching the show, whereas Abby has like a LIFETIME of teaching experience. BUT I would take a much more compassionate and encouraging approach to my teaching and coaching, that's for sure!!!

At the end of the day, they’re entirely different dancers with different strengths. Both are super good at what they do - all the dancers are good at what they do 😄

Actually, I think that Maddie gets more hate in the fandom. Whenever Maddie messes up something, fans are brutal and get all over her, while when Chloe messes up something, fans sympathize instead.
But you’re wrong about Maddie not getting any hate, the poor girl gets lots of hate! More than she deserves.
Whenever she does well on a dance, I see commenters say that she is nowhere as good as professional dancers like Sophia Lucia and others. She constantly gets compared to better dancers.
Meanwhile, Chloe fans stick to Chloe and don’t compare her to famous dancers. Honestly, I rarely see Chloe getting hated on 🤷🏽♀️
I will make myself clear right now: I love both dancers. They are both incredible dancers and storytellers, and they both have their own strengths.
I’m just stating that personally, Maddie’s dancing connects to me more. That’s NOT to say that she is the better dancer. In fact, a lot of my friends connect to Chloe’s dancing more.

I'm not even going to try to be unbiased. Chloe was the best, is the best, and will always be the best. I think she's also the best person. Like Christi or not, she and Marc did a wonderful job raising Chloe.
And she’s grown up to be such a sweet and respectful woman as well, they really did do such a good job raising her
I hate how everyone says how 'awful' Chloe's flexibility was. Truthfully, we don't know what her skill was in acro because it gave her anxiety to perform it. The best we got to see was her infamous side aeriel and a back-flip in an acrobatic number with Brooke. She could have been able to do alot more in the studio, but wasn't able to do it on stage.
As far as flexibility goes without the added tricks, Chloe was actually very flexible. She didn't have naturally bendy muscles, so everything we see was what she had to work for during the early years of her life. Her kicks were always high (even though she always bended her supporting leg. I'm not sure if you're supposed to do that or not) and her leaps were never undersplit. I don't think there was ever a time where Abby reprimanded her for having sickled feet. Even if she wasn't anywhere near Kalani or Brynn level, her technique was extremely impressive for being trained at ALDC and comparing her to Nia or Kendall.
I don't know why people hate on her so much. 😕
Funny you say that, cause I do only remember ONE time that Chloe got reprimanded for sickled feet and it was starting a turn sequence once lol. She usually NEVER had sickled feet, which in my professional opinion is actually a LOT more frequent with natural flexible dancers. Chloe has flexibility like me, no natural flexibility in the hamstrings, so she had to WORK for all that flexibility. A lot the girls were naturally hyper mobile, like for example, GUARANTEED Brynn would still be flexible if she danced or not, it's just her elastin levels in her body. I think Chloe has the potential to be an AMAZING dancer on that team and definitely a Rockette if she wanted to, BUT at the time the show was in it's Prime, the MOST impressive Fads in Dance Competition world were all the flexibility tricks, so IT's no surprise that they pulled in girls with Contortion skills and Acro and insane flexibility, and showcased them over people with natural control and emotion, such as Chloe!

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but my little sister was born with something wrong with her joints. She was EXTEMELY hyper-mobile, but had low muscle-tone in her hands, meaning that she couldn't do anything that required putting her body weight on her hands. She could do all this crazy contortion on the floor but was never able to do actual tricks.
Also, when it came to ballet class, she COULD NOT for the life of her, point her feet. I had to physically get her foot and push her instep up and her toes down for her to actually do a successful tondu, and even then, her knee had to knobble in the way in order to allow the muscles in her feet to push forward and she lost her beautiful turn-out. 😔
I'm not sure, but I think that Maesi Caes is kinda similar, because she's arguably one if the best acrobats in America, but she ALWAYS sickles her feet and it can be really frustrating lol.
The dance world definitely got more demanding, because I remember back when Maddie did her Disappear solo, everyone was so amazed as to how mature she was in her movements even though she was pretty wobbly in alot of parts. I remember being impressed at her front aeriel at that age. Now, you have Elliana Walmsley that's the same age and performing such difficult choreo and displaying more control over her movements than what most seniors do. It's funny how times change, huh?

Ya it's CRAZY how fast the dance world has changed!! the standards are impossibly high now because of all the dance tv shows these days. IT sounds like your sister may have Ehlers Danlos, which is a condition that causes extreme hyper mobility. I'm not sure with the dancers on the show, but yes, usually If you have EXTREME flexibility, you're going to have to WORK hard to have control, and vice versa. @@kiera6326
I"m glad that Christi listened to Chloe when she said it wasnt fun for her anymore. Christi was half living out her dream in Chloe, since she couldn't take dance, but she respected Chloe as a person. Still does. Have you seen Chloe's girlfriend? Chloe is such a beautiful, sweet young lady, and I hope she found her "person" in Brooklyn. She deserve it.
how come everyone acts like chloe is training in a ballet school or something? she only takes class for fun now and has been doing it that way for the last 2-3 years, of course her technique isn't amazing lol but chloe never pretends like it is, she is a professional actor, influencer and performer not a straight up DANCER like she was at age 11.

I know pretty much nothing about dance but i always thought it was so cool how chloe never seemed to move much during her turns (travel?) when some of the other girls would turn and it would be beautiful but they'd end like a foot from where the1y started

I know Chloe was not at her best when she came back to the show, but I was so happy to see her dancing again! It was great seeing her finish what she started. It's sad that Abby killed her passion for dance. Not only Chloe but most of the other girls have also admitted that being on the show killed their passion for dance.

I think people might have just been so focused on her feet & legs... and what I loved about her turns was her ability to move her arms into all different positions.

This is what I truly think: WHEN Chloe would dance with confidence, she had 100% better emotional execution, and connection to the piece than Maddie, simply because it came from her heart. She never had to over perform. She was the most natural dancer on the team, especially technically. Even Abby said this. When Chloe would dance from her heart, nothing can compare to that. The only thing that Maddie did better than her was performance value- playing characters. But again, performance and emotion are two different things. Chloe always brought true emotion. And that’s not something that can be taught. That’s why it kills me to see how she was treated because I know that if she had a full support in confidence, she could’ve beat Maddie and a lot of other dancers very easily more often. Chloe was just as special and unique a dancer as Maddie was as a performer. Chloe was a true DANCER.

beautiful commentary Jordan, so refreshing. to add I do believe no matter how talented a dancer can be in the competition world if the choreography is sub par to the dancers true potential and set to sabotage a dancers winning chances, imo the teachers goal will come to fruition. The dance dated 2016- reflection was actually an old dance when she was way younger and wearing braces, Chloe shared she happened to come by it and noted it was not shared. I loved her dancing/artistry to her vid called blindness. So disappointed lifetime did not allow Chloe to take up the Joffrey scholarship, would have been great viewing, I wonder if they were scared of loosing her to the Joffery school knowing how awesome a ballerina she was even then .Chloe has that special something that draws me in, bless her heart. Such a beautiful soul you are, may your sparkle forever radiate

Not sure if you are aware Jordan, in 2011 at the Yagp Seattle semi-finals Chloe performed the ballet variation la fille mal gardee and placed in the top 12. Only photos are available, she looks so lovely while in her element.

Chloe's turns are literally perfect for me, when she is confident I adore her energy and emotions but her acrobatics oof they're not bad or horrible yet she could definitely work on them. I love Chloe as a dancer
I feel like As the evolution of the video went on I could feel her passion dying and she didn’t evoke as much emotion. When she left and came back I felt her emotion way more and I feel like she was connected with her body. Where was a period when I felt her passion die and her break revived it.

The two dances which I liked was definitely the reason why as I felt she really told her story about how Abby treated her not only that you can see how much Abby tore her apart the other two were I know it’s too late and another girl she really wanted Abby to see her for her not Maddie or Kendall but a girl who loves to dance.

The video that is playing at the very beginning of this is the original music to Baby Mine. On the show, she actually danced to Baby Mine, not that, but her choreography was the same. That is why she was having trouble learning it (the scene with her mom on the porch, etc).
When Pagie and Brooke left Abby just started attacking Chloe. Chloe got it the worst than anybody

I think your commentary about Chloe's dancing is very insightful. I love that you appreciate her emotional connection. She always drew me in, my favorite! I wouldn't want to see a Chloe/Maddie duet today because they're not friends anymore. True they danced magically together and mirrored each other but even if they could still do that the emotional connection is no loger there. The "sister" connection, if you will. So even if they still danced beautifully together, there would be something missing, and that would ruin it for me. Loved your reaction and insight. What I love about Chloe's turns, and it was there in season 1 when I didn't see it in the other girls' turns at all, was the control! She was able to move her arms into different positions mid-turn, and it was so beautiful and graceful. Even at 10 when doing "Dream on a Star" with her little hands closing into fists.

I think Soaring (the solo number in the blue costume) was her last solo before she left, as it was the nationals number. Great video, Jordan! Do you have a favourite overall Chloe solo? :)
In jogged my memory as being the last dance she ever performed as soon as it came on screen, but because of the order in this video I was not too sure. I remember sitting with my friend Miranda watching the first season of Dance Moms and getting her hooked, (she's not even a dancer LOL) and I made an anklet that said "Team Chloe" because she touched my heart. Little Chloe reminded me so much of myself as a kid. Almost fragile but with a giant heart. Anyways, that being said, it was the duet "Inside of Me' that really inspired me for the longest time, and then "You Can" and "Silence". I personally thought silence was so good in terms of how she danced it, but watching Chloe dance "You Can" is a breath of fresh air. I also loved her "Lucky Star" solo, I thought she danced BEAUTIFULLY! What was your favorite from Chloe?
@@JordanJSparks Chloe was my favourite on Dance Moms and Inside of Me was my favourite duet she was in :). Favourite solo would be I Know it's too Late and favourite trio is Buckle Up!

Soaring was her last solo that she competed, but "Lucky Star" was the last solo she performed on the show (in the reunion special which if I have heard correctly was filmed a day or so after nationals & before the final team dinner). Talk about awkward. Christi probably didn't allow Chloe within 100 feet of Abby, and that's the reunion where she called Abby a piece of s*&! right to her face.

@@JordanJSparks I honestly remember liking chloe the best because she reminded me of myself. the first 2 seasons really hit hard with me too. I remember one time chloe was crying and wanting to quit and I was wanting to quit too at that particular moment because my high school band director was Abby 2.0 and during marching season she was the absolute worst (she made me even compete on a knee that I cut to the bone during our morning practice before quarterfinals.) But I think both our moms made us stick it out. As much as I have bad memories and experiences I am thankful for her pushing my natural talent and bettering me. Though my ankles are completely ruined now. (can't go all day on them without serious pain if I'm too active) I would still go back and do it again to relive all the good experiences.

I always loved Chloe. I really saw myself in her, and she was just straight up gorgeous. I had the biggest crush on her before I even knew I was gay 😂. That’s beside the point, but I always thought her dances had more emotion than Maddie’s in that she was more attached to them. Maddie’s solos were just solos with the occasional special one (Cry, Angel, Birthday, Timeless). With the “You Can/Be Anything” solos, Chloe took it to heart and that piece meant something to her and you could really see that when she danced it. Maddie just rushed through because she was trying to win, and it was apparent. Anyway, my point is that Chloe to me has always had amazing technique and her dances were breathtaking.
Chloe definitely is breathtaking. I love that analysis, I've never thought about it in terms of being attached to the piece, this had made me think about all of my art as well and you are totally right!!!! all of it comes out better if you are attached to the art, and not just focused on "winning" or being the best. ps could you go leave a comment on my new video?

I really think the episode where Maddie and Chloe did the same solo was set up. What are the chances that the judges make a mistake in the scoring in just Chloe’s dance. I think the producers set it up so there’d be more drama.
Alicia Hessert It was confirmed Chloe won, but the solo mostly had Chloe strengths. If it was a contemporary solo full of leaps and ariels Maddie would’ve won. Since it was a pretty lyrical with turns Chloe won. Both girls are different but amazing in their own way!
