As good as this fight was, I didn't find it to be as entertaining and as intense as the Hawk fight. I was waiting for the Bison fight to be animated because the manga made it look like Takamura's toughest fight but damn years passed and still no season 4

Takamura vs Hawk was WAYYY more hype because Hawk is a menace and would trash talk (had an interesting irregular boxing style) while Takamura was kinda nerfed with his extreme weightcut reduced his stamina. With Takamura vs Eagle its a good fight but Eagle is a more likeable character but that part at the end of the fight really felt like Plot Armor as Takamura was blind on both eyes and nearly got stopped. Takamura vs Bison is a GREAT fight stylistically, Takamura showed how well he could be able to adapt and do Hitman style but its also the fight where Takamura's weakness was shown. The injured right eye. Takamura when he moves up to Cruiserweight or Heavyweight, he will likely fight with One Eye since his other eye will likely be permanently damaged. Basically Takamura will be handicapped
The Instincts and Plot Armor kicked in. I like Eagle and Takamura but the Plot said "Nah Takamura has to win and eventually fight at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight"

The biggest problem is Takamura's right eye (a possible detached retina later on) it will permanently be damaged at some point. Takamura will fight with one eye. Its a result of Takamura taking too much punishment and sometimes inconsistent defense

Takamura on the other hand is NOT a Middleweight and is infact a Cruiserweight/Borderline Heavyweight without cutting weight, meaning after Takamura makes 160 pounds he will rehydrate 15 to 25 pounds being heavier than Eagle on the night of the fight. Which explains how Takamura is able to tank and still have strength. Eagle is the closest thing to Ricardo at Middleweight but nerfed version of Ricardo. As Ricardo has shown better infighting and way better advanced technique and defense than Eagle. Takamura almost lost to a Middleweight

Absolute war for all 12 rounds extremely close on the score cards, but Yaegashi became blind in both eyes in round 6 and somehow willed himself to an MD loss, one of my favorite fights between two Japanese fighters 2. Marco Maidana vs Erik Morales Morales was kinda in an Date Eli situation where he comes back from a lengthy retirement and slowly climbed back in the rankings, he ended up having to fight a prime Marcos Maidana and took him to hell. Brutal fight where in the 5 rd Maidana unintentionally thumbs morales in the left eye and his eye swole up like a balloon, he also lost by decision

The fact this fighting style is one of the most nerfed and gutted styles in untitled boxing game but is still viable to fight the top, shows that the devs have never watched the show before, but the style is still a part of takamura. You cannot keep a devil down

He threw light punches against takamura's boxing because he thought takamura was another beastly fighter like hawk. So takamura took him up on the offer. Later in the fight, he showed Eagle that he trained for countless hours by beating on him blinded.
